[ OPEN ] OH. What's Occuring?
Who: Your local forensics department, hospital staff, curious bystanders, others.
What: Scenario A: A regular day in the office (during a musical curse) | B: Out on the job.
When: A: Day 84 morning | B: Day 84 afternoon
Where: A: The forensics department office, third floor of the hospital attached to the laboratory. | An alleyway around a manhole in Odin district, close to the wall and the border with Thor.
Rating: PG13 for possible grisly details.
[two scenarios! I will post a scene-setting comment for both of them, please reply below the comment of the scenario you're taking part in, even if you're not replying directly to Conan. Thank you!
By the way, I encourage Forensics people to reply to both parts of the post, thread jack and jump around -- this is to get an idea of how our characters interact in their daily working lives! /o/]

In reference to the strange trend of behaviour of the last couple of days, there is a large jar on the empty desk next to Conan. The label on it reads 'Staff Party Fund' and the sign next to it reads 'FINES: humming: 1 copper rune; humming the same song a second time: 2 copper runes, singing: 5 copper runes; trying to dance with your department head: 1 silver rune.
At the moment, the staff are free to pursue their own research. To keep themselves busy and prepare for future cases, Conan's decided that staff are free to pick a topic and as long as it is cleared by himself and Annalie (feel free to handwave!), characters are good to go with it. There's also a very tempting water cooler down the hall way, a vending machine opposite the stairs, files to request from the reception staff downstairs, the opportunity to run into a friend or acquaintance in the hall or the cafeteria.]
open to allll! \o/
... he also kind of took it upon himself to be the resident drinks guy. it's why he's probably coming up to your desk now. abruptly, and without ceremony-- ]
Got preferences for your coffee?

[Oh, right, Loewe. He's working as a sort of intern. Kate smiles.]
One cream, two sugars. Thanks. [She doesn't mean to sound like she's shrugging him off like that, if she even does. Just tired and busy. Which is completely her fault, but oh well.]

To become the best investigator he can be, Apollo has taken to studying whatever he can about the subject. His desk is covered with books, and there is a Very Serious expression on his face as he reads them.
Occasionally, however, he gets up to file and straighten things around the office, as he has a great will to organize as well as to succeed!]

OTA!
Kate knows her way around a crime scene, but she doesn't have all the answers. And she wants to have them, thus collecting and deciding what to put together and what to keep out, because while back home there were protocols for arrest and containment, taking fingerprints aren't necessary for this team when they don't have a database to go off of. She's making a list of everything to go over with Conan and Annalie when she's done collecting it, but until that point...yeah.
So at the moment she can be one of a few places: either at her desk, ruffling through papers and books and taking notes, walking back and forth from the book shelf to the desks, or sitting at her desk rubbing at her face because man does she strongly dislike paperwork. But it's her own project, she's going to get it done. There's just a lot of reading.
laaate but open
Not that he saw his actions as other than just, but even if they would be investigating him someday, he was nonetheless pleased in his own way.
He viewed the office with interest. As a judge, he was more than passingly familiar with forensic evidence, though he wasn't part of this aspect of the justice system himself.]

-- a hand was found in the sewer. From size it belonged to either a woman or a young man, though detailed analysis will take place at the lab. Our mission now is to search for the rest of the hand's owner, check the location for any clues and take statements from the residents. Any questions?

Beckett had told him that the forensics department in Asgard was run by a 7 year old, but he had thought she was making some kind of joke about the maturity of their captain. No. It was literally run by a 7 year old. Castle gawked at the boy and how the team just... listened to him. Not even Alexis was that smart when she was 7, and his daughter was pretty darn close to perfect in his opinion.
He received Beckett's message over the bracelet to come check out the team in action at the crime scene, but he was hanging back - mostly for her sake. She'd warned him not to make a scene.

he has gloves, cotton swaps, sample bags and a bottle of luminol that he's currently brandishing like a bottle of Febreeze. however, he isn't using it just yet, because it looks like something caught his eye.
putting down the bottle, he squints into the shadows of the sewer grates. turning to the nearest person-- ]

But the Senior Technician is occupied. They could get the attention of one of the staff already in the sewer, or ...
Well, they did promise learning on the job. "You've read the handbook of basic scene protocol, right?"

The natives aren't too helpful. No one seems to have noticed anyone having gone missing in the past month or so. But she's asking everyone, anyway, because that's how she was trained. "And you don't remember anything? Anyone who just stopped being around anytime in the past month or so?" It's frustrating, yes, but it's cop work. She started off at the bottom back in NYC, she can do it here.
And since there aren't any cops to actually patrol the scene, she finds herself doing a lot of shuffling of people. Please stand back, this is a crime scene, please take a step back. The last thing they need is someone else falling down into that manhole.

"I'll take over for you here," she said. "The kid wants a word with you in the tent."
They've managed to get the tent fully set up now and there's two tables inside, one for staff to work at, the other for their ... decidedly grisly finds. Conan's studying a rather ... foul looking ... thing ... when Beckett joins him, the smell speaking for itself.

He heads over to Conan as soon as he spots him.]

[Conan's teasing greeting doesn't hide that he's pleased to see Bobby. On top of the time that's passed in Asgard itself, he spent three weeks of mental time back in Tokyo. It feels like he hasn't seen the older man in ages.
It's also quite a relief to have an excuse to move away from the manhole's strong smell of putrifaction.]

Lisbeth hadn't wanted to get involved in the first place, Armansky had always told her she was crap when it came to interacting with people and asked her to work from home. But this was interesting to her and she figured if anything could preoccupy her it was figuring out a murder by herself. For fun. But that meant legwork and being in public - she didn't mind either but she'd rather be holed up in her apartment with a computer.]
