"Busy laying in my fabulous suite in Loki House? I admit it's grueling work, but..."

Castle hadn't even written anything yet. Most of his time had been spent in bed or exploring the city, getting a feel of where things were.

"You know I have no problem with interviews."

She hadn't wanted to assume that Castle would want to spend all his time doing police work. He was a writer, not a cop, even here. But she couldn't deny that it was nice to know they'd be partners again. Even if the circumstances were a bit different than home.

"Good, because we have a lot of them to do." Kate pointed over to where a few of the staff members were already speaking to a couple natives, with another fifteen or so standing behind them.

((ooc: also, we have free reign when it comes to the victim's history, where he works, personality, etc. and how they find out about this in the interviews. c:))

Castle gave her a look, then pulled out the next person in line.

"Rick Castle. This is Detective Kate Beckett. We work for-."

He paused, glancing back at Beckett.

"Who do we work for?"

feel free to take over the natives they're interviewing if you'd like. :3

Kate metaphorically stepped forward, taking over the interview for the moment. "We're part of a team trying to figure out what happened here." At the moment they work for Conan, but going around saying they work for a 7 year old might not get the best response. Not yet.

"I heard you found a body." That was the first good sign - she was interested in the scene. It was fairly 50/50 when it came to the natives and information. Some seemed to have enough color to them to be interested, and therefore possibly helpful with information, and the others didn't seem to care at all and tended to be fairly vague and unhelpful. Part of the reason the interviews had started to become frustrating.

Kate nodded. "We did, yes, and we're trying to figure out who it is. Do you remember anyone going missing over the past month or so? It could be someone you know, or even someone you just see on the street."

ok

"I haven't seen one of the guys I work with in a while. He lived over here. We both work at the bar down the road."

"What's his name?" Castle asked. Beckett had the pad, not him. Besides, he didn't write stuff down.

"Adam Smith."

[ooc - i'm not sure if they're supposed to have any type of names or anything so i just picked something generic lol.]

[[ooc: works for me xD]]

"Do you remember the last time you say him?" Kate had the pad out, taking down all the information she could. The native, whose name she had taken down earlier before she was called to go speak with Conan, though for a moment.

"It was about three weeks ago, I guess. I saw him leaving after his shift that night." She was pointing down the road at that moment. "He usually comes down this way, since he lives a few blocks over from here. I saw him leave and come down here but that was it."

"Did Adam have any enemies?" The native shook her head.

"Everyone loved him."

Or so she thought. An acquaintance wouldn't really know the inner workings of someone's life. Plus, everyone had secrets.

"Did anyone report him missing?"

"I believe our boss called after he missed two shifts in a row."

That was interesting, Kate noted. There was no one to call into, so the fact this native thought her boss called him in meant that it was possible the boss knew something else.

There was also the possibility that she was just confused. By bringing color to the city, they had been giving life, personalities, to the natives. For some, the transition was simple, but through her interviews she's found that others have been caught in the limbo between having color and being grey.

"And you don't remember seeing anyone leave with him that night?"

She shook her head. Kate smiles and nodded. "Thank you for your time. Can I possibly get some contact information in case I have any more questions?"
