[Day: You survived. That was... horrifying. And you don't think you've ever been so happy to see the sun rise the next morning. Things are worse for wear, and you need to get more supplies just in case something else comes.

But wait- halfway through the day, and suddenly the sun is gone? Where did it go, and how is it night so early?

Night: Careful. The terrors of last night are back, and now are even in more of a frenzy than before. More crazed, more dangerous, and wanting to destroy everything they come across. Hope you can keep your eyes open.]

"Hehe - Yes, I thought you'd get a kick out of that." Hisao replied to her laughter, raising his cup of tea and taking a sip.

Satellizer wiped her face and shook her head as she poured some tea into her own cup and took a nice sip.

"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that, no. So it caught me by surprise."

"He also drank a whole liquor store. But the Hamburgers were the thing that grabbed me about the story."

"Must be one of the benefits of being what he is." she said with an amused expression as she herself enjoyed one of the cookies.

"That's what I gathered, yes." Hisao replied, moving the plate a little closer to her and taking a sip of the tea. "Just goes to show, when you think you've met every kind of person this place can bring in, you hear about something completely unexpected."

"And yet... I'm beginning to feel that if I'll be surprised by the things that I'll meet here, I might as well glue my face in surprise considering the whole spectrum of worlds they seem to pull people and other beings from."

"Well, there's nothing wrong with looking surprised." Hisao replied. "It's only natural - and it's a look that suits you anyway."

More than that scowl she sometimes wore.

"So a look of constant surprise is better suited for me?" she paused then shook her head.

"No thank you, I must look foolish if I walked around looking like that all the time." she added as she took another cookie.

If it was a girl with any other personality, he might have pointed out that, No, her surprised face was actually pretty cute. However, considering everything, he thought that was a compliment better kept to himself.

"Well, maybe you're right. Smiles are better anyway."

Even without trying she could manage that when he was being kind to her and she simply smiled and nodded.

"Soon as we finish this we should get some rest. Who knows what we might be up to tomorrow since they seem to be gaining strength each day."

"....yeah... yeah, I guess you're right."

There were still people out there, and still people he wanted to find that he hadn't managed to contact yet. He supposed he could try on the bracelet again, though. And he was pretty exhausted. His legs felt like jelly.

Satellizer nodded and placed her empty cup aside, cleaning up the table they used and grabbing the used dishes and beginning to clean them.

Every now and then she'd look over concerned but eventually focused on the cleaning.

"There's no point going back out when you're exhausted." She said absentmindedly wondering if that was what was bothering him.

"I know. I just... wish I could do more." he replied quitly, getting to his feet and tinding a tea towel.

"It's frustrating. To be eighteen years old and have the stamina of someone in their sixties. I should be out there helping people."

"I already told you we each have our place in the war. You helped plenty today as you eased our escape and through our battling of those things in this district, we have lessened the danger of others from eliminating opponents.

Charging in recklessly without no direction doesn't help. Once we can get a good idea of everything and we organize things, it'll be much easier to provide help where needed."

He started drying cups.

"I guess I'm not much of a tactician like that. Which is why Hanako beats me at chess more often than not, I'd guess."

"Many wouldn't agree, but sometimes life is a complicated game and many of the games people take as entertainment could be viewed as training for every day life, especially on the field."

She looked up as she placed some dishes in the drawers.

"Even in Genetics, we had to pass some war game programs in some of the classes in order to better understand battlefield decisions."

"I see. I never had anything like that. I guess the closest thing was learning how to play soccer... different positions on the field for different actions. But even then, that's a team sport. You're in the midst of it helpiong your peers."

Something told him her style was more like singles tennis than soccer.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lower the tone again. I'll stop being such a big baby, now. I guess I'll camp out on your common room couch for the night and hopefully things will be brighter in the morning."

Satellizer nodded and left the room for a while.

After a few minutes, she returns with a pillow and a cover and made the largest couch comfortable.

"If you need anything else, you know where to find me Hisao." she said with a polite bow.

"I do." Hisao replied, walking over to the couch and removing his shoes.

"Thanks, Satellizer. For everything."

Satellizer simply nodded before turning to leave.

"Have a good rest Hisao." With a small smile, she finally left the room.
