END OF ARC 1: FOLKVANG SHELTER CATCH-ALL

[The moment the sirens sounded, the ladies of Folkvang Comfort House opened their doors. They cleared away their equipment and pulled out the supplies they'd gathered in advance, and began herding children, the elderly, and anyone who needed to hide into their buildings. For the duration of the battles, there will be food, shelter, warmth and safety here, though the smells and sounds of battle are never truly gone.]

[It all just sounds so... weird. The thought of an airship running on anything but moonstones or an old-fashioned propeller is still so incredibly weird, coal, oil, or magic aside.]

A battery, huh? But how are you gonna put magic inside it?

[Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he leans back, mouth set in a slight frown.] Is it supposed to work like the magic cannon?

A battery was one of the other sources of energy I researched and found out a battery specifically for a vehicle needs an electric charge to it. If we had were able to channel Yellow Moon magic here, it would certainly do the trick.

I wish we could channel Yellow Moon magic here, it would make things so much easier.

[She props her head up on her hands, elbows pressed into the pillow. She's looking very discouraged by this whole process.]

What if there isn't a way to make them fly?

[He lets out his breath in a rush, looking up at the ceiling.]

Yeah, we can't use our usual magic here. Just the powers the gods gave us. [And well, even he isn't optimistic enough to think Charm's gonna let him fly a ship...

He quickly leans forward again when Aika speaks again though, his eyes slightly wider.] There's gotta be a way. No matter what, we can't give up!

Heh... But if we really can't make our ship fly, we can look for one of those oceans of water here.

[There's a 'hmm' coming out Enrique's mouth then an idea hits him.]

We could always find a source of electricity to charge the battery or do one other alternative, we make a lightning rod then wait for it to storm. That way the lightning hits the rod and charges the battery through cables, or so I've researched.
