END OF ARC 1: DAY 173 DOWNTIME
[Two days of battle have been harsh. The hospital and the Arena are both nearing full, and the smell of charred wood still remains from the few buildings set on fire in Freya district by a dragon on Day 168. Nothing is truly quiet, but this is another welcome break in the violence.
The only question is: how many more cycles can we survive? Though we did well yesterday, it's clear that we'll be wiped out soon if nothing changes.]
[ooc note: this is the catch-all log for Day 173 (Nov 12-13). There is no battle, but there are a lot of general npc wounded of all different species (some of which are outlined here). You can find the battle log for Days 171-172 here, and the shelter log here.
Please be sure to include the day/time of day in the subject line of top-level threads. Also, be sure to have read the entire plot post.
There is a timeline of all important posts in the ooc comm here. If you have plot questions, please submit them to the plot post so everyone else can get the answers. Thank you!]

no subject
You may, if you wish.
[He won't enforce his title on anyone, especially not someone helping him.]
no subject
I'll stick to Lance, if that's cool with you, bro. I mean, unless you knight types get all uppity about that and I still have to call you Lancelot.
no subject
If it pleases you, you may call me Lance. [He offers a small smile] Mind however that I cannot vouch for the attitudes of noble-born knights. [So if some of them show up you should probably keep the 'Sir'.]
no subject
And he's spotted a free healer, so up and at 'em Lance. Time to let him help you before you bleed to death while talking. ]
Why, are there more of them here?
no subject
[Not more, he's not counted among them. He allows Jackson to lead him; isn't he incredibly ego-free for a knight.]
Sir Gwaine was here shortly but he was sent home quite a while ago. Although, I do not think there is a name that would cross him.
[Happiest guy alive, the alcohol certainly has to do with it.]
no subject
Also he shakes his head because nope, his knowledge of knights kind of starts and ends at Lancelot thanks to pop culture. ]
He can't have been too impressive because I've never heard of him.
no subject
I have never had the honor of fighting alongside him myself yet, but Arthur and Merlin both speak highly of him.
[It's even stranger to think that he's better known than another knight.]
no subject
i'LL SHOW MYSELF OUT--
Jackdon on the other hand will just shoot him an amused look because right, right, that was how that whol legend and stuff went right. King Arthur and all. ]
Don't tell me they're here too.
no subject
They are, yes.
[Alongside many other names that might me recognizable.]
The Gods seem quite fond of Camelot.
no subject
Maybe they thought they'd stand better chances with some actual knights than with just teenagers.
[ He hopes that they're fighting in this battle too OR ELSE. :| Little does he realize that he's met one of them already..... ]
no subject
He bitterly thinks to himself that perhaps they should have chosen Arthur's real knights then, or at least brought him from a time in which he supposedly will belong among them.]
There are many warriors here. Surely they chose the others for the many much needed supportive roles. Those who have no experience in battle do not belong on the field.
no subject
A little too late for that then. Although, I'd rather be out there fighting than inside. [ he wouldn't know what to do with himself if he had to be stuck here. ]
no subject
[He understands that sentiment however] As tormenting as staying can be [and he knows, he knows the shame of hiding and living when everyone around him drop dead] you must remember you can be of no help to anyone dead.
no subject
[ but maybe lancelot has a point. he sees the condition the other man is in right now and he's a knight. pure youthful arrogance isn't likely to get jackson far. ]
You probably should've thought the same thing too.
no subject
[here, Jackson, have a sad smile. He knows full well how unexpectedly death can strike.]
I have my duty, for which I have spent my life training. We all have our parts to play, some in fighting, some in staying clear.
