END OF ARC 1: DAY 173 DOWNTIME

[Two days of battle have been harsh. The hospital and the Arena are both nearing full, and the smell of charred wood still remains from the few buildings set on fire in Freya district by a dragon on Day 168. Nothing is truly quiet, but this is another welcome break in the violence.

The only question is: how many more cycles can we survive? Though we did well yesterday, it's clear that we'll be wiped out soon if nothing changes.]

[She's looking him over for them.]

[There are some, but nothing life threatening. The worst he has is a slightly deep cut on his hand, but he's managed to keep himself mostly uninjured for the most part. He could use a good night's sleep, but he probably won't take much of a rest.]

I'm fine.

[That's by rote, to be honest.]

[Caterina snorts.]

You look exhausted.

[She takes his hand and looks it over, then starts preparing her first aid supplies to work on it.]

[OH WOW HE ACTUALLY ADMITTED IT STOP THE PRESSES.]

Nothing a nap won't fix.

[She is duly impressed! But she keeps working on his hand because it needs her attention.]

If that nap is several hours long, then si, you should be fine.

[AHAHAHAH guess who's not going to sleep that long. Must patrol the city!!!]

[In between cleaning and bandaging his hand, she glares at him sternly.]

I will knock you out myself if I have to, Ichigo.

[She means it. There's no use for tired soldiers on the battlefield. She knows these things.]

[Except he won't sleep well and end up completely exhausting himself by the time the battle ends. Oh boy.

And now is a good time for his stomach to loudly complain it doesn't have any food, right?]

[She raises an eyebrow at the noise.]

I will be back.

[She's done with his hand. She's going to get him some food.]

[Okay. Well.

Let's try not to fall asleep before she comes back, yes? Yes? Ye-Ichigo you're already dozing off.]

[When she comes back and sees him dozing, she smiles and sets the food down next to him. He can eat it when he wakes up.

...unless the act of setting it down next to him wakes him up, of course. She's trying to be quiet.]

[Yeah, it kind of does. He jerks awake with a "guh!", reflexively grabbing for his sword until he realizes it's just Caterina.]

...Sorry. Must've fell asleep.

[She snorts and raises an eyebrow, crossing her arms.]

As you should.

Well. Since you're awake, at least eat.

[She gestures to the plate.]
