END OF ARC 1: DAY 173 DOWNTIME

[Two days of battle have been harsh. The hospital and the Arena are both nearing full, and the smell of charred wood still remains from the few buildings set on fire in Freya district by a dragon on Day 168. Nothing is truly quiet, but this is another welcome break in the violence.

The only question is: how many more cycles can we survive? Though we did well yesterday, it's clear that we'll be wiped out soon if nothing changes.]

Heh, I never did explain what the whole kismesis thing to you. Troll romances either center on pity or hate. Me and Eridan, sort of have a hate-thingee going... it's weird.

The way one of them explained it, [Said, leaning up against a wall.] there's platonic hate and romantic hate. The first one's just hate. Grind your teeth, want them dead, that sort of thing. The second's more like a rivalry. They irritate the hell out of you, piss you off, but you want to be the one that hurts them, only it's no fun if you kill them. That ruins the game. So, there's a lot of posturing.

Heh, somedays, I have trouble taking it seriously... and then some days, he says something that sets me off and I can't stop railing at him.

[She shrugged.] I honestly think this is only working, a little, because I'm not human either. As for the pity thing, it sounds a lot closer to love the way I've heard it. Just more co-dependent and protecting.

Well, considering the few stories I've heard about celebrities, yeah, it kind of is isn't it. And don't give me that look. It's... hard enough to even make sense of why I haven't tried to eat his liver or some stupid crap like that. I'm still struggling with the fact that I can kiss the irritating little fuck without losing my sanity and going all demonic on him.
