END OF ARC 1: DAY 173 DOWNTIME
[Two days of battle have been harsh. The hospital and the Arena are both nearing full, and the smell of charred wood still remains from the few buildings set on fire in Freya district by a dragon on Day 168. Nothing is truly quiet, but this is another welcome break in the violence.
The only question is: how many more cycles can we survive? Though we did well yesterday, it's clear that we'll be wiped out soon if nothing changes.]
[ooc note: this is the catch-all log for Day 173 (Nov 12-13). There is no battle, but there are a lot of general npc wounded of all different species (some of which are outlined here). You can find the battle log for Days 171-172 here, and the shelter log here.
Please be sure to include the day/time of day in the subject line of top-level threads. Also, be sure to have read the entire plot post.
There is a timeline of all important posts in the ooc comm here. If you have plot questions, please submit them to the plot post so everyone else can get the answers. Thank you!]

[Logically, Karu is right. It's just that angels aren't supposed to feel emotion and yet they form friendships and bonds with each other and other people, and not just the rebels, but then again that's because they do indeed care despite not being supposed to.]
It's usually obvious I'm not human, though it seems what I actually am is rarely guessed.
[Not that it bothers him. There's little reason for anyone to look at him and guess 'angel'.
He frowns as Karu suddenly sits down, and he does the same.]
No. I am actually made of light. Angels must take human vessels to safely interact with other beings; our true forms are dangerous to observe, except by certain individuals.

I guessed human with something in the background. Magic, strength, prodigy back home... Maybe a chef's son that displeased his family. [Based on their earlier conversations about Castiel and cooking not being a good mix.]
An angel though? No. Bravo, I could never have guessed that...
[Then, quietly:]
Light? So it would be like staring directly into the sun... That is... unexpected. But fitting.
no subject
I am not particularly angelic.
[So it's no surprise it's not usually guessed.]
Essentially, yes. That is a good way to describe it.
no subject
Are you ... judged? For being something other than... what you seem?
no subject
[Castiel is a woozy from his injuries, resting his head back against the wall, talking a bit more freely than usual because of it.]
At home, it is an issue. Mostly to other angels.
