Who: The Hungry Hungry Merlinatural Vampire Slaying Hippos
What: Beach anime episode!
When: Days 294 - 296 ( July 12 - 17 )
Where: Salt Side
Rating: PG-13 at most for language, maybe. Only fluff in here.
[ When the visitors disappear in a much cleaner fashion than they came, a mixture of anger. sadness, gratitude and everything in between is left to fill in their place all across the city. It's heavy and stifling; the perfect time to get away for some fresh air.
They leave the morning of Day 294 ( July 12 ), piling everyone onto the train that'll carry them off to Salt Side for a couple days. ( Arthur sticks a little bit closer to Merlin's side; his last train ride is still fresh in his mind. ) The ride there takes half a day undisturbed, and the sun is still lingering in the sky by the time they arrive in the small fishing village. Plenty of time to walk around and shop before storefronts start closing or to catch the sunset on the beach. From here on out, everyone is free to wander as they wish, though don't stray too far, lest the oceans carry you off to the netherworlds.
They'll leave on Day 296 ( July 16 ), after a full day and two nights of relaxation and fun in the sun. The train ride is once again thankfully undisturbed, but the same can't be said for the holy city of Asgard. Something is stirring in the water - but for now, there are only cheerful farewells and blissful ignorance. This trip was theirs and no one else's, a rare and wonderful thing in a troubled land. ]
[ ooc: Who can tell that I write the plot logs? orz This is open mingle to anyone that was invited on the beach trip! You know the drill, open/closed threads with date and location. Lots of stupid fun, guys, let's have it! ]

[It's said warmly, turning her focus back to the water.]
It's just as beautiful as I thought it would be.
no subject
[ she smiles a bit, shifts her focus as well. ]
How are you, Daphne?
no subject
I'm well.
Are you?
no subject
[ she finds being honest easier her; but then again even breathing is easier here. ]
I was certain my sister's departure would --
[ be the last straw; because Morgause is gone and dead but the peace of her departure helped Morgana a bit. ]
But it is better now.

You can give yourself time to grieve, you know.
no subject
[ she smiles a bit at that. ]
But I feel that...I have shed all the tears I could shed for my sister. I have grieved her every day since she passed and I would grieve for her every day still yet -
she did not feel any pain when she left. it eases it. she did not have such a privilege in Camelot.

[It's quiet, but warm, and she reaches out a hand to take one of Morgana's, squeezing it gently.]
Do you believe in Heaven?
no subject
Heaven and hell belong to the new religions. I am a Priestess of the Old Religion -- we believe the soul returns to the Goddess. I do not know if it is the same as heaven.
[ but she does squeeze that hand. ]
What is heaven, really?
no subject
[She wrinkles her nose.]
It's an eternal resting place for good souls. Castiel tells me that when you die and you go to Heaven, your soul remains in a place of eternal happiness, tailored to you and you alone. Your favorite memory, resting with your loved ones -- doing what you love to do best.
It's blissful happiness.
no subject
Castiel knows of it?
[ it sounds like somewhere Morgana will never see and never know, she knows well what she did in the past, what she'll do in the future. Hell sounds more likely. ]
Where do the souls of those who had faith in the Old Religion go?
no subject
[Which explains how perfect he is obviously. :')]
And -- I'm of the mind that if you have a good soul, a good heart, then you go to Heaven regardless of what you practice or preach.
no subject
[ Morgana knows some things of Castiel but certainly not this and she doesn't bite back the smile that makes its way to her lips nor does she keep it from being rueful. ]
I will wish it for my sister; I keep no such hope to see this place for myself.
no subject
[Literally. But Daphne frowns at Morgana's next piece.]
There's hope for penance.
no subject
[ she looks at her for a moment and then at their hands. ]
I save no hope for me.
