All the Whos down in Whoville...
Who: All the Whoniverse folks, and their plus ones
What: Eight is a bit Christmas crazy, and is inflicting it on his "family".
When: Day 378
Where: Thor 104 (Who House 2)
Rating: PG
A week before, everyone in the Doctors' makeshift "family" is sent a simple message:
Come to Thor 104 in one week's time for a Christmas get-together.
Bring a friend if you like.
No, this is not optional. Don't make me come get you.
When they arrive, they're greeted by a festively decorated house, twinkling lights and all, still covered in snow from the day before. The door is, as usual, unlocked so that everyone can filter in as they please. Once inside, the house is full of the sights, sounds, and scents of a huge family holiday gathering. A fire in the fireplace makes the house warm and cozy, and a decorated tree holds pride of place.
Grab a glass of cider or mulled wine, wander the house, find a conversation to jump into, or get some fresh air in the back garden.
But beware, Eight has been quite liberal with his use of mistletoe. Chances are you'll find yourself under some at some point in the night.
(ooc: Prose or action bracket thingies, whichever is fine.)

But he glances up again at the guess, his face smoothing into a perfectly innocent expression. It's not fully feigned. After all, the mistletoe'd already been here when everyone arrived, so it's not as though he needs to pretend to have done something he's not - at least as far as it turning up in the house. It being moved around, well. That's another story.
"I'm not so sure it's Jack, actually. Otherwise he'd be out here taking advantage of it already, wouldn't he?"
no subject
"Or he could hide in the shadows, waiting to strike," he suggests, thoughtfully drumming fingers against his arm. "Or...perhaps he's not the culprit after all. Most of you lot love a good kiss."
no subject
"Most of us lot? Now wait just a minute, what do ye mean us?"
no subject
Because he totally doesn't have the same desire, no sir.
no subject
"Oh, aye, I see. And it's just us humans wanting to be close to each other? Nothing you're interested in at all, then?"
no subject
no subject
"Seems to me that if you're interested in that with Rose, you're interested, Doctor. Ye don't have to pretend you're not with me, ye know. I'll not say anything to her about it, though, if you'd rather not people know."
no subject
"Don't you dare, or I'll see about pushing a lass or two your way."
no subject
Not really, however, since he has no intentions of telling Rose anything of the sort. That'd be up to the Doctor to decide what he'd want to do...unless he'd already gone and done so, and that thought gets him to give the Doctor a look that's a good deal less teasing and a lot more thoughtful.
"Have ye actually said anything to her, though?"
no subject
...that was about to come crashing down, but not just yet.
"I'm prepared to have a drink and celebrate our wayward family, though."
no subject
There was time for that, surely. If not at the party, then after. Nine would get a chance, he was sure of it.
If he'd only known what the future would hold, he might had said something else. But he doesn't, so instead he reaches out to clap a hand on the Doctor's shoulder.
"Come on, then, let's see if we can't go find one. Maybe some of that eggnog stuff, unless the girls have gone and hidden it for some reason."
