A mass text is sent out from the TARDIS to all of the Doctors, strays and the people they've adopted:

Your presence is required at the house. Please come.

There's no reason given as to what this is about and it really isn't a request either. When they arrive they'll find the front doors to the house unlocked and tea set out. The living room has more chairs than it normally does as if preparing for a huge group and they are.

Of course he doesn't have to. Won't stop him from doing so, though.

"I know. And I'm glad."

He doesn't deserve it.

[bossily]

"You know, I think you just might be the only person alive who'd say you're glad I meddle." She knows that emotional topics or just anything serious is hard for him to get through, and up until recently she spent her entire life closing herself off emotionally from others, so a little humor is what they both need to get them through this conversation in front of all the others.

Keeping her hand in his, she nudges her hip against him playfully.

"It's like having a wife without the marriage or any of the benefits that come along with it, I'm not too sure how lucky you actually are."

She's got that right. Humour is exactly what they need, and it's successful too. He laughs. Shakes his head.

"What kind of benefits?"

[bossily]

"Oh, you know -" She pauses, waggling her eyebrows. "The sort of things that make you blush, stammer, and flail."

There's another hip nudge to go along with the playful lilt to her voice. And apparently along with humor, she's going to tease-flirt with him. It reminds her of the good old days on board the TARDIS, back when things were still new and they were learning about one another. It's a nice, nostalgic feeling that's easy to roll with.

And there falls the smile to be replaced by a more dumbfounded expression. Yes, he should have seen that coming but. Really.

"Clara!" He lowers his voice to a hiss. "There are children here."

[bossily]

"That's no way to talk about yourself, Doctor."

She doesn't take his reaction seriously at all, and just laughs. She's never inappropriate around children, at least not in ways they could see or hear. And her little tease here was between the two of them, with neither Alice or Clem close by. So she can laugh and not feel actually scolded, taking great amusement in his awkwardness.

"I know I sometimes call you a gigantic five year old, but that doesn't mean you actually are one."

He jabs her side. Not hard enough to really hurt, but still hard. And sniffs.

"Not what I meant."

[bossily]

There's some devious laughter from her, as her eyebrows arch up even higher, and she jabs at his side in return.

"I know what you meant. I just chose to ignore you actually trying to scold me. And it's just fun to watch you squirm."

"Oi." He sniffs indignantly. "Sometimes I forget why I like you."
