Who: Riley and ANYONE
What: Riley is getting back into the swing of things and that means roof running.
When: D460
Where: Various districts...feel free to pick one.
Rating: PG for her mouth
Riley had been out of touch for a couple of weeks. Honestly, it had sucked because it had kept her from finding away to save Ellie or going down with her. It was a fucked up situation, especially with what her girlfriend knew about what her future was like. She hated that she couldn't be there for her back home but that was kind of the price of being, well, dead.
That really did come up a lot in her mind. Here she could do things for Ellie and be there for her but in the end they'd have to part ways because Ellie lived and she died. Perhaps she should have hated her for that, hated her for all the love she got from everyone too. It would have been fair really. Though it didn't seem like it, Ellie had it going on. People loved her and cared about her. They'd always put her first. Hell, Riley put her first too.
She was jealous. Who had actually given that much of a shit about her since her parents died? Well, besides Ellie.
Not a damn person.
Today, she just needed to clear her head. Then she could go back and be all smiles and laughter for Ellie again since that was what she needed. She needed her to be awesome as fuck and she had to make sure she had her head in the game for that. Which meant she was now running along rooftops, swinging along ledges. It wasn't anything anyone had taught her to do, she'd figured it out on her own and had the guts to bother to try. Practice had made her pretty damn good at it too.
Landing on another rooftop, she took a breath of air and planted her gloved hands on her hips. It was nice being alive. It really was.

She smiles.

She was trying to picture it though, go through all the mental images she had of things to pinpoint it. Of course, that was a lot of pictures to think about and she was pretty sure she just hadn't seen one.

And then she snorts, realizing what she just said.

"Now how often can you say that and not mean it the way you hear it?"
no subject
"Never again, probably."
no subject
It would be faster than going on the ground anyway.
no subject
"Yeah! Let's go."
no subject
"Come on! You have to keep up!"
no subject
"What, are you trying to lose me?"

It certainly didn't take long to get to the where they needed to go with Riley leading.

And there it is - big metal wheel, slowly turning in place. She points at it, still catching her breath.
"That, over there."

There were bars and stuff all over it for people to grab onto! It didn't even have to be moving for her to see that. All the same, she was jumping down so she could head toward it for a better look at it.

"The only thing interesting about it is the height. The view." Climbing down with a little more care than Riley of course took a little more time. She wasn't sure she expected the other girl to wait for her.

"Hey, I'm all for a good view. Let's do it."
no subject
"I don't know if we can while it's turning."
no subject
Riley was already of to go try it. She figured the moving would even make it better so she had to give it a shot.

Never had she thought she'd be quoting her best friend's words. But she was grinning all the same, knowing she would follow suit. Besides, not very likely they'd stop the ferris wheel just because they felt like climbing it. Whoever was even keeping it running in the first place.

Riley shot her a grin over her shoulder that said she found that hilarious. Also, if it was only a theory that she really needed to try harder to make sure Tris was entirely convinced.
no subject
"I mean, this is only the second time we've met."
no subject
She was about to climb a ferris wheel though so that would probably help.
no subject
"Not that I have any idea about your track record."

All kinds of stupid stories about Riley being...stupid.
no subject
Since normally people wouldn't want stories about them being stupid to, you know, spread.
