Getting to know you

Who: Any/all strike team members
What: Training/mingling/SNACKS
When: Day 473-474
Where: The Citadel

[From the outside, the small medieval-style fortress appears unoccupied, but on the inside, the first meeting of Asgard's strike team. For the next two days, members are invited to get to know one another, share what they can do, train, or...you know, team build.

For those who wish experiment with working together, equipment has been set up to form an obstacle course of sorts that takes up half the gym area. (Those who have trained with the Assassins on their capture-the-flag courses may feel the similarities.) Plenty of seating is available for those who just want to mingle or talk strategy.

There are also snacks. Eat them.]

[She'd damned well make sure that genocidal maniac didn't screw anything up. They'd come too far to have him muck things up at the finish line.]

You guys have been to Thrymheim, right? What do you know of their magic. The fire giants... weren't as well known for it, as I'm sure you've heard. A lot more physical over there.

Anything worth calling a god's going to be near impossible to take down. I have a feeling, though, if what you're saying is true that we're going to have to take them down near to here.

Surt was... well, the others told me he was terrifying in combat. I'd passed just before that fight.

[She was almost casual, in a slightly distasteful way. She'd died so many times that, as much as she preferred to avoid it and not dwell on the details, it was almost a commonplace concept for her. Death just followed her like a shadow, and they'd long been ... comfortable with each other.]

...

Someone will need to kill her. Us, or someone else. Ragnarock wasn't a fight that ended without almost all of them dead. I doubt it's different here.

But first, stalling until the time is right.

Nobody. [She frowned and looked them over.] I should feel worse about calling on some of them, but they're more skilled than a lot of people much older in this city... that and they've grown up fast.

[She gave a short, curt nod.] I suppose you're right. They really aren't children, and they've chosen their path. No point stepping in the way of it. There's plenty of danger either way, like you said.

Any seem promising to you in particular?

We don't have the time for that, but honestly nobody Desmond's ever suggested to me wasn't qualified, so I figure you guys have an eye for talent. Anything you need for me in the meantime?

I'm going to go with some knowledge sharing today. Building jumping... isn't exactly in my skill set. I'll try the course later though. In the meantime, getting them used to potions seems good. A couple were asking as is.

... I have supplies we can work into and can make more. There's a priority on healing herbs, but I've made sure to keep some of my other stock in production.

Alright... I'm going to leave it to you for now. Give me a holler if you need anything. We'll probably talk again soon.
