Getting to know you
Who: Any/all strike team members
What: Training/mingling/SNACKS
When: Day 473-474
Where: The Citadel
[From the outside, the small medieval-style fortress appears unoccupied, but on the inside, the first meeting of Asgard's strike team. For the next two days, members are invited to get to know one another, share what they can do, train, or...you know, team build.
For those who wish experiment with working together, equipment has been set up to form an obstacle course of sorts that takes up half the gym area. (Those who have trained with the Assassins on their capture-the-flag courses may feel the similarities.) Plenty of seating is available for those who just want to mingle or talk strategy.
There are also snacks. Eat them.]

Luckily, many of us are well-acquainted with such matters. It's only the Giants' magic that may make a difference.

You guys have been to Thrymheim, right? What do you know of their magic. The fire giants... weren't as well known for it, as I'm sure you've heard. A lot more physical over there.

Thiazi's magic makes her very difficult to surprise. In her domain, none of us would have a chance. [The scars they still have tell them so.] Here in Asgard...it may be possible. But she is formidable nonetheless.

Surt was... well, the others told me he was terrifying in combat. I'd passed just before that fight.

In the short term, we don't need to kill the queen—only make it harder for her to do the same to us. In the long term...we shall see.

...
Someone will need to kill her. Us, or someone else. Ragnarock wasn't a fight that ended without almost all of them dead. I doubt it's different here.
But first, stalling until the time is right.

Agreed. No one in Asgard—and beyond—is safe until she dies. But rushing forward will only endanger more.
Until the day comes... [He looks out over the training course.] We prepare. And do what we can.

Any seem promising to you in particular?

... I have supplies we can work into and can make more. There's a priority on healing herbs, but I've made sure to keep some of my other stock in production.

[Because he already knows just how much of a disadvantage they're at when it comes to Thiazi alone.]

[It's a long road ahead, he expects.]
Thank you, Samantha.
