Getting to know you
Who: Any/all strike team members
What: Training/mingling/SNACKS
When: Day 473-474
Where: The Citadel
[From the outside, the small medieval-style fortress appears unoccupied, but on the inside, the first meeting of Asgard's strike team. For the next two days, members are invited to get to know one another, share what they can do, train, or...you know, team build.
For those who wish experiment with working together, equipment has been set up to form an obstacle course of sorts that takes up half the gym area. (Those who have trained with the Assassins on their capture-the-flag courses may feel the similarities.) Plenty of seating is available for those who just want to mingle or talk strategy.
There are also snacks. Eat them.]

Relax, Altaïr.
[ Altaïr’s honestly on his list of people to not touch just like that, but he’s actually getting a light clap on the shoulder now. ]
I know how to work with a team.
[ Mostly. When he doesn’t decide to run off on his own. That’s pretty likely to happen, but shhh. ]
But if this is you trying to tell me I should run the course, I guess I can give it a go.

He nods, looking slightly more mollified (and ignores the shoulder clap).]
It is your decision in the end. But I would advise you at least try.

[ He rolls his shoulders, and marches towards the course, cracking his neck as he does. ]

And then he takes off. ]

It isn't graceful or practiced, as such. Obstacle courses aren't really his thing. But he gets through, and relatively quickly too.
Just running and hoping for the best. That's what he does.
As soon as he's finished, he skids to a halt and braces himself against his knees as he catches his breath. ]

[ He straightens up, and whips his bangs out of his face. And grins. ]
Guess she was right.

[If no one enjoyed any part of it, fewer people would bother to develop these skills.]

[ He makes a face. ]
Those seem terrible.

What is a gym?
no subject
Oh, it's a building or hall or room where you work out. Usually has a lot of machines, some might have mirrors and space for dancing and other sort of exercises you do with just your body. There's almost always a sound system for music too. For the working out spirit.
[ Flexes right arm. ]

The future continues to reveal its most confounding aspects.

As humans got less and less time on their hands and more and more comfy and started spending their days sitting rather than doing physical labour, they decided they needed to make a business out of moving.

[ Kings' Crusade, huh ... He'll just file that information away, his eyes narrowing very briefly in thought before they widen in a smile again. He slips his hands in his pockets, wagging back and fourth on heels and toes. ]

Had enough training for today?
no subject
Yes, I think so. Quite.
