Progress through the ice blockade will be slow and narrow, as they can't possibly hope to clear the entirety of the forest that has been buried under Thiazi's black ice. Now that they know the source of her magic's corruption, it might not come as a great surprise when cracking open the ice unleashes a strange burst of magic.

At the halfway point between Utgard and Asgard, a pulse of energy will move through the entire city, immediately putting every mortal it touches to sleep. This part of the curse is mandatory and your character must fall asleep; the dream effects of it are not mandatory, and can be played with at your discretion. During this first wave, Travellers will be granted a brief dream - that does not belong to them. They will see, from the dreamer's point of view, every hope and goal and aspiration that the dreamer wishes to complete before the end of days. Whether it's simply confessing their love to an old friend or saving their home planet or perfecting an Asgardian pie, your character will see someone else's ideal resolution before Ragnarok. Upon waking, the Travellers will be plagued with the indistinct whispering of several voices overlapping one another and a slight headache. Both symptoms will gradually increase over time until it reaches incapacitating pain and nausea. The only way to assuage the symptoms is to find the owner of the dream and either maintain physical contact for an hour or discuss the subject of the dream until a full confession has been made. After that, the symptoms will fade and the Travellers will be free to carry on with their day.

There will be other pulses of magic at random throughout the day; these are not mandatory and you can feel free to have your character experience as many or as few dreams as you wish. All dream-sharing will cease by the end of the day, as the blockade progresses past that centre-point of magic.

It's okay, just... take it easy.

[He let one arm drop, grabbing for his soiled jacket, and using a sleeve to wipe some of the blood from her face. He was pretty sure she'd be okay, despite wobbling around like she was; head wounds tended to be more blood than serious injury. Still...]

Thank you, Tohru. You are most kind.

[She smiles at him, then, her face pale, but her eyes sharp.]

I will be fine. I've suffered much worse, you know.

I...

[He fell quiet at that, remembering the look into her thoughts and memories before.]

...I know.

[He hesitated, the arm around her tightening a little.]

D'you think you can stand? I'll take you back to your apartment.

[damselled]

[She looks at him in concern, a hand squeezing his shoulder reassuringly.]

I am alright, Tohru.

[She nods at him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to steady herself.]

Yes, I can. Thank you.

[sleight_of_hand]

[He kept an arm tight around her, determined not to let her go.]

Okay... just take it easy, it's not that long of a walk. Lean on me if you've gotta.

[Maribelle leans on him as they walk, a little embarrassed at having to do so.]

Thank you, Tohru. It's quite fortunate that you came along when you did.

[He glanced down at her leaning on him, feeling his face growing hot again, and he just wanted to scream at himself. Just... no. Stop that face. There's too much red going on there.]

...o-of course.

[damselled]

Are you alright? You seem rather flushed. [Hopefully, he's not getting sick...]

[sleight_of_hand]

F-fine. Fine. Honest.

[He needed to focus on something that was not her... something that could get him irritated. That would stop him from acting like an idiot.]

S-so... how's it going between you and Hanamura?

[...and that worked as expected, because he found himself near grinding his teeth as he said the brat kid's name.]

Are you certain? Don't push yourself to hard, Tohru. I should hate to see you hurt.

Well... he and I are going to spend some time together. Hopefully today, if things stop being so... inconvenient.

[He had to keep telling himself not to dwell on it, that there was no way she was being serious. Instead, he focused on his annoyance about her spending time with the trash can delinquent.]

O-oh... that's... good.

[...wait, what if they ended up randomly passing out on each other? Adachi felt his face pale at the thought.]

Yes. I'm rather interested in seeing the means of entertainment common folk have in your world, and he said something about... a movie, I believe.

[His paleness did not go unnoticed by her, and she frowned.]

You look as if you might be ill. Are you sure you're alright?

[sleight_of_hand]

F-fine...

[No, he was not fine. He was the opposite of fine. Right now, trying to shove Hanamura into a TV even if it wouldn't work was sounding like a good idea.]

M-maybe you should take it easy today? You know... it would suck if you passed out on him or something like that.

[Wow, subtle.]

[damselled]

Well, you certainly don't sound like it, darling. Would you care to join me for some tea? It would do us both good to get off our feet, in case we find ourselves drawn into sleep again.

Oh, goodness. I appreciate your concern, but I am not about to go breaking commitments, even in this state. It would be terribly rude of me.

[sleight_of_hand]

[It'd be even ruder if she fell asleep on Yosuke's-- you know what? He was not finishing that thought.]

It's okay; I rather make sure you're safe at home.

[damselled]

[She could tell something was wrong, and the flat look she gave Adachi would tell him that much.]

I don't want to risk you hurting yourself, Tohru.

[sleight_of_hand]

Hey, I'm not the one that nearly cracked my head open, 'ya know.

[damselled]

But you could have been.

[sleight_of_hand]

But I wasn't~!

[He flashed her a cheeky smile, before his expression calmed down a little.]

C'mon, can't you let someone worry about you for once?

[damselled]

But you could have been, and that troubles me greatly. Any one of us might be injured - or worse!

[But she giggles.]

Oh, very well. But can't you allow me to worry over you, too?

[sleight_of_hand]

Nope; not in my description as a police officer.

[But he was grinning, clearly joking around.]

[damselled]

Well, then, it is a good thing that it's in my description as a noblewoman.

{She chuckles, joking back with him.]

[He grinned slightly, but his expression wavered quickly.]

Hey... can I ask you something?
