The Hrafn Tea Room's design is simple and shows its owner's taste for blues, greens, and grays. It's only here and there that the warmer color of Odin district shows itself in brief glimmers, such as on the aprons of the staff. Most of said staff are natives, but they have rather more color than most. Perhaps it's Yuri's influence, but like him, they are also quite polite, prompt, and dedicated to their jobs. They are welcoming in manner without being overly cheerful.

Located so close to the library, the tea room is very friendly to readers. Off the main seating area is a separate, quieter reading room, with many comfortable chairs for the use of those who wish to read or study in relative peace and silence.

There is a hand-lettered sign in the window that reads "Help Wanted", in neat, elegant script.

The proprietor himself can be found at a table at times, sitting alone more often than not, thoughtfully enjoying one of his own blends and perhaps a book.

[Yuri happens to be behind the counter at the moment, and he turns to her with a nod. He's not familiar with her, but he doesn't find her appearance odd, not for Asgard.]

That's correct. We're looking for hosts and servers, as well as kitchen staff. Is there anything in particular you'd be interested in?

Well, I don't think you'd want me cooking, I've never really done it except when everyone had to make cupcakes.

[She's unwaveringly cheerful, though.]

What do hosts and servers do?

Hisao was just a little nervous. He'd never had a job before, had no experience in any sort of service industry and was pretty new here. However, it was becoming more and more obvious as they days went by that if he wanted anything beyond the basics of life, he was going to need gainfull employment.

He'd been checking some books out of the Library when he'd seen the 'help wanted' sign and the fact that this was a tea house. He looked inside and saw people reading, too. It seemed a calm place and that was a plus.

...and if nothing else? He was getting pretty good at making tea.

So, it was with a few deep breaths and a summing up of nerve that he approached the counter with intent to ask for a job.

Standing behind the counter, Yuri, as somber as he often was, could be somewhat imposing, but that was not his intention. Cordially, he turned to smile at the young man as he approached. Though he often left the work of dealing with the public to his employees, he did like to stay involved in part, as well as keep an eye on the business, though no one would accuse him of being too involved.

He wanted to keep things running smoothly, but he also preferred to have employees he could trust to keep things running smoothly in his absence. It was important for him to maintain the tea room, but it was not his primary concern. Matters of justice kept him busy as well.

"Good afternoon. May I help you?"

"Good afternoon." Hisao replied, smiling in return, albeit a little tentatively. "My name is Hisao Nakai and I saw the Help Wanted sign on the window. I was wondering if I could interview for the position?"

[Despite the awkward timing of her first visit, Diva had found it enjoyable. She hadn't returned out of a vague sense of being unwelcome, though she figured that it was just from the timing of being accused of hurting Shu just beforehand. It was true, certainly, but only a handful of people knew that Shu was really only the surface of her deeds, and only one of them had any reason to tell.

She had been dutifully looking over librettos, searching for new arias to practice her new-found power, but the promise of free tea had been plenty of reason for her to leave the library with a single libretto in hand. It would be a nice break!

Diva is sitting at a table by herself with a cup of strawberry tea, happily humming a melody from Tosca as she reads it. Oh, and she's wearing this, just because. Feel free to approach her! She'll gladly chat with pretty much anyone.]

Strawberry, huh? I can smell it from all the way across the room.

[She frowns, looking back at him]

It's not that fragrant... [But then she looks at her cup with an expression like "is it?"]

What are you doing here, anyways? This doesn't seem like a place for you.

[ He approaches her from behind, placing a hand at her shoulder as he leans in with a smile. ]

Hello, Diva. Are you enjoying yourself?

[ He seems to have his other hand behind his back... ]

[She flinches at the hand on her shoulder, since she had been rather engrossed in an aria, but seeing who it is, she smiles brightly]

Ah, Johan! Hey, you surprised me!

[wow where did all that rudeness that was in claire's tag go...]

Mm, I am, yes! I've been trying to learn new arias all day today, so I thought it would at least be nice to change the scenery. Especially since Yuri was kind enough to offer a free drink too.

[He notes her arrival, but he doesn't approach right away, waiting until after she's settled. After all, there are many things in the tea room to occupy his time. But he remains quite conscious of her presence, one of the sinners he's identified.]

Good day, Diva. And what do you think of the tea?

[Yuri is perfectly pleasant as he says this. No one could find anything to fault in his manner. He's the very picture of the polite proprietor.]

[Euri's never been one to turn down free food and drinks. After hearing over the network about the offer, she finished up leafing through some books in the library and she and Dog headed to the Hrafn Tea Room!

So she'll be wandering in, an enormous black wolfish dog following behind her placidly.]

[Noticing Euri and her dog, Claire plucks a dog treat from out of his pocket (he feeds them to the animals at the circus in the carnival) waving it lowly to attract the dog's attention!]

[ Yifei was here for the tea because... tea was like her family's forever drink. It was like the elixir for immortality or something, but she drinks it out of mindless habit nowadays. That isn't the point though! She was also... looking to see what this place is about and since help is wanted and all, it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

But cutting to the chase, SHE ZOOMS AUTOMATICALLY TOWARDS DOG. ]

Heeeeeeeeyyy, Dog! So you and your cute master came on by, huh? [ Let her ruffle the fur around his neck. ]

Hello, Euri. It's a pleasure to see you.

[Yuri approaches her with a smile and a nod. However, it's faint and fleeting, though even when it fades, he remains pleasant enough in manner.]

I'm afraid pets are not allowed in the restaurant area. [Even his own cat is not in evidence here. But he pauses.] Unless it's a service animal.

[ Johan is seated with a cup of tea, taking a break from revisiting a favourite of his: Преступлéние и наказáние Pryestupleniye i nakazaniye, or Crime and Punishment, as he casts a sidelong glance over to the Help Wanted sign. ]

[Claire plants his hand on the surface of the table Johan's sitting at, giving his plate of goodies a pointed look.]

You gonna eat all that?

[Yuri notes the book, and it draws his attention. His maternal and paternal grandparents were from Russia, and he speaks the language. He speaks it now as he draws near, quoting from the novel as he approaches.]

There is justice in it. You must fulfill the demands of justice. I know that you don’t believe it, but indeed, life will bring you through. You will live it down in time. What you need now is fresh air, fresh air, fresh air!

[Did someone say tea? Bitches love tea. Especially Utena here who has a cup of her own. Maybe she would go to the reading room later, but for now... She would be drinking her tea to herself. Utena would have to come here more often.]

[Laurent liked tea, it was a traditional drink in his world and always helped him to relax. He didn’t had a good one since he arrived to the city. The tea here lacked of something, like the city itself lacked of color. That's why we was so surprised when he found the the Hrafn Tea Room after his weekly trip to the library. How did he miss it before? Shame on him.

He walked in, a pair of books in his hands and found a comfortable table near a man sitting alone, enjoying his own tea.]

[Yuri stopped by Laurent's table at the sight of someone he hadn't seen here before. Like any good proprietor, he tried to keep some contact with the patrons.]

I hope the tea and service are to your satisfaction.

[Elika's diligently at her post and dressed as smart as usual, working hard. still, she's a reader herself and Yuri's a cool dude. so, when there's a moment, she smiles at him.]

It's very generous of you to offer this place as a small respite, after all that's been going on.

[He nods.] Thank you Elika. I only wish there was more I could do.

I do try to do what I can for the community, even if this is not the kind of civil service I'm used to providing.
