What: Scenario A: A regular day in the office (during a musical curse) | B: Out on the job.
When: A: Day 84 morning | B: Day 84 afternoon
Where: A: The forensics department office, third floor of the hospital attached to the laboratory. | An alleyway around a manhole in Odin district, close to the wall and the border with Thor.
Rating: PG13 for possible grisly details.

By the way, I encourage Forensics people to reply to both parts of the post, thread jack and jump around -- this is to get an idea of how our characters interact in their daily working lives! /o/]

[Though Apollo has done some forensic work in the past, it wasn't exactly official--okay, it sort of was, but he's not officially a detective or forensic investigator. Ema would be a lot more suited to this than he is, although he knows a law background is invaluable for a forensic investigator, so he's not without his qualifications! He's determined to be a consummate professional about this, his new job.

To become the best investigator he can be, Apollo has taken to studying whatever he can about the subject. His desk is covered with books, and there is a Very Serious expression on his face as he reads them.

Occasionally, however, he gets up to file and straighten things around the office, as he has a great will to organize as well as to succeed!]

[Apollo looks up from his book with a blink.] Oh, hi, Conan. [He nods, enthusiastically.]

It seems really good so far, though I haven't gotten to that chapter yet. I tried to pick out the books in the library that looked best. Too bad we can't look up reviews online here.

[It's not the most formal office, especially as no serious casework is going on at the moment. She can head on in.

Apollo is reading while biting down on his pen, concentration visible on his face. It's not all because he's studious; he's trying his hardest not to hum the terrible Gavinners song stuck in his head.]

[ Heading on in it is! And since she can't tell he's trying not to hum a Gavinners song (which isn't so terrible, even if it's not her style, she pauses for a moment, not wanting to interrupt him in some important thought. Let's see if that little swish of white fabric catches his attention before the moment passes. (Or if he starts humming first.) ]

[The Gavinners' music is not good. At all!

As he concentrates more on the text before him--one of the scientific ones, and so, not his specialty--his control over that strange urge slips, and he starts to hum "Guilty Love" under his breath (not that it's an easy song to hum), and then more loudly.

He also doesn't notice anyone approaching.]

[Ditto Apollo. Conan's reading one of his research volumes, but as Lamiroir enters, he looks up expecting to see Annalie back with the papers he requested or Loewe with more coffee-milk.]

Ah -- Lamiroir-san?

[ She smiles automatically when she sees him, and though she seemed anxious before, it melts away. ] Hello, Conan. You're still working hard, aren't you? [ biiiig book for a kid your age there.]

Mm! And I'm learning a lot too!

[The little kid grin might be slightly less convincing over that big book, but what can you do.]

Ne, is Lamiroir here for a visit?

[ well, looks like someone's working diligently. but for some reason, your look of concentration reminds him of a grimace of pain... yeah... ]

[Apollo gives a start, looking up from his book.]

Oh--has it been that long? I wasn't paying attention.

[But he looks at the clock, and yes, it's true. He leans back, running a hand over his hair.]

Right. Maybe I can take a short break. Thanks.

Yeah. Looks like you need it. [ ... he was really into it, so. a nod! ]

I've got a lot to learn. I have a law degree, but I'm still behind on the science.

[He considers for a moment.] I am kind of thirsty, now that you mention it.

[Now he has a new office, with an even younger boss! Someday he will surely be supervised by an infant. It's only a matter of time.

Also, magicians do have a way of surprising him when they appear out of nowhere. He starts and turns, then smiles.]

Oh, hi, Trucy.

[He all but preens; you know how he likes to be professional.] I've been working on getting everything in order. Though everyone else has too, of course. It's looking good, isn't it? It's nice to have an office again.
