Castle watched the local people, intrigued by the grey and the color in this city - the color that they were supposed to bring. It left him with more questions than answers, but now was not the time.

He glanced back and forth between Conan and the manhole.

"We're not going down there right?"

Because his shoes were Armani.

"Oh no. Not a problem at all."

He was ok doing interviews, though he did like to look at evidence too. Still if the choices were get in a sewer or interview some people, Castle would definitely pick talking to people.

This kid really was... well, a kid. But he talked like every detective Castle had ever met. It was kind of jarring.

"No, I think I'm good. I'm sure she can update me if I've missed anything else."

Castle paused before turning away. He couldn't hold back any longer.

"How old are you?"

Seven? He thought Alexis was brilliant but sadly she had nothing on this kid.

"How do you... how do you know all this stuff? I didn't know people could be prodigies at being cops."

Castle was more impressed than anything.

"So you learned from him? You must a prodigy. I was somewhat of a prodigy myself."

Not really. But his mother had always said that he was a writing prodigy.

"That'd be fun."

Castle liked kids and he was honestly used to super mature ones - his daughter was always vey mature for her age.

"I'll uh.. check in with Beckett."
