What: Someone thought it'd be nice to add some instant color to the drab walls of the city.
When: Day 123
Where: somewhere in Freya, not too far from the welcome hall
Rating: G, but may go higher depending on the threads.

[ When one finds his or herself wandering around the Freya district, he'll see that half of this one street has been covered in color. More specifically, paint. Bright hues of red, yellow, blue and green greet each and every passerby with the intricate yet pleasing shapes and patterns they form. Some are characters from cartoons from Japan. Others are inspiring quotes and proverbs written in Chinese and Korean. Many windows and doors have stuffed toys of the cute characters themselves to give the area a more welcoming feel. Why don't we just show you some pictures? ]





[ You'll find three individuals painting this work in progress. They look busy! But what's there to do in this corner of Asgard? You can comment on the little details of the paintings, or praise them for their work, even! Maybe you have a request for them to paint on the city buildings. Maybe you scold them because you think that - gasp - this is vandalism! Or maybe you can decide to be just as much of a vandal and ruin their masterpiece. ]

Hi! [ She glances at her painting. ] Do you think it's kawaii? Do you want me to draw something kawaii for you?

Kawaii! In Japanese, it means cute! [ ...why is she telling a guy named Mako this ] Do you want me to paint something for you on the wall?

[ colour over-dose, man. he's just really enjoying the artwork, when he happens upon one of the artists... oh hai taiwan! raising a hand to wave! ]

So... you're gonna draw yourself? [ worst pick-up line... but clearly you are the most kawaii. ]

No, silly! [ She's trying to hide how flattered she is, but she's clearly blushing. ] I'm not that cute...

Um, do you have a favorite animal or something? Or a favorite character?

"Kawaii" is cute, yes? [ Never mind the somewhat mangled pronunciation. The deer and rabbits are pretty cute.... ]

[Yeah, meet the fiftieth person today who doesn't know what that word means, Taiwan.]

Haha, it depends on what that even means! [Romania's kind of looming over her shoulder, red eyes sweeping across the impressive space.] Would you be the type to insult your own work? I wonder.

[well, Hope was just walking through Freya and trying to get back home when... this happened... he's a little too awestruck by the paintings that he doesn't completely register what's being said to him just yet.]

[He passes by, in awe of the spectacle. He smiles, looking at the deer.]

That's charming. ... Draw something? Hmm.

How about a two-headed black eagle?

[...he says this happily, completely unaware of how odd the description of his former coat of arms might sound.]

[Korea's currently hard at work, writing in Korean on a wall, almost messily done around a vibrant tiger againt a blue background. He looks at the wall, and continues on. He's already painted a rabbit, a few birds, and a person that looks supiciously like himself.]

Hehehe! My wall looks great! [He continues writing the cute characters along the wall]

[ She tugs on his sleeve to catch his attention because she's a shortie. ]

Heeeey. What's that supposed to be? What's that supposed to be, huh? What does that say?

[ after admiring taiwan's drawings, he'll come over here. brb suddenly peering over your shoulder-- ]

What're you writing? Poetry?

[ And onto the next artist. This is... oh look, another rabbit? Is this a theme? The tiger's kind of neat looking... he'll just quietly observe for a moment or two here. ]

It certainly looks like something, my friend. [He chuckles. How long he's actually been there, no one knows...]

[Chie just so happens to be walking by when she hears his exclamation; out of curiosity, she wanders over. when she sees what he's done, she nods her approval.]

[ And in Hong Kong's spot we have a mural that seems to be dedicated to Bruce Lee's entire movie career, from Fist of Fury to him in that very recognisable bright yellow tracksuit from Game of Death. All in martial arts poses of course.

Also pandas.

...He might have wanted to draw a few other things on the wall that might have required censoring, but maybe Taiwan talked him out of it. ]

Wah, Bruce Lee...

...must be a really old grandpa by now, huh? [ DON'T TELL HER HE'S DEAD!!! ]

[ man is that... bruce lee? but he's gotta hand it to this guy-- those are some great drawings. some of those poses look pretty painful though (not just for the other person either) so he's just doing some sympathetic wincing as he peers over these drawings. ]

Woah, that's a cool one-- [ but wait, you mean stretching your leg up that high is humanly possible...? so maybe he can't talk, seeing as he vaults across rooftops like it's a normal thing, but still... ]

This art is very good. [ He will cock his head to the side and watch for awhile, if that's okay. ]
