END OF ARC 1: DAY 169-170 DOWNTIME

[The first battle is over, but the second will begin any time. For two days, the enemy forces will remain on the other side of the battlefield, working on strategy and tending to their wounded. Both sides have taken heavy losses, and the Arena is full of the hurt and dying.

The battlefield itself has turned to a bloody, muddy mess. The elves will be asking the Army Engineers group and anyone else willing to help them lay timber and gravel out to make the ground easier to walk on for the next battle.

What will you do in your breathing space? Keep working, mourn your losses, or retreat from the horrors of war?]

[A. Day 169/Evening/ Gefion Park]
[Her arm was still a bit sore from earlier but it had been treated by the healers. Today had been eventful it wasn't the first time she'd been in a large scale battle like this ,but she hadn't seen the aftermath last time.

Matsuri sighed and lent against the tree she had found and stared at her brunt uniform.

[B. Day 170/Morning/ Arena-Hospital]

[It was over for now at least, but her injuries are fully healed and she's determined to be useful. Even if she wasn't really sure how she couldn't heal people but there has to be something she could help with.

Matsuri ended up helping repair the roads by moving the equipment and materials and will be around the roads for most the day]

169 & 170

[169 - Afternoon/Evening - Arena]

[Lea's wandering around the arena some time after Namine's patched him up, looking for familiar faces and just getting a sort of general feeling of what's going on. Truthfully, he's got no way to judge whether this is good or bad by comparison, since it's his first major skirmish since he got here...not even two weeks ago.

Every now and then he stops to rest, leaning against a wall and folding his arms, observing.]

[170 - Arena/Freya]

[Lea will be wandering around outside the arena and over to Freya and back again at various intervals, keeping an eye on things and just getting out to stretch some. He's got his chakrams with him, every couple hours or so stopping to practice up a few moves, just to make sure he's in good shape again after his injury.]

[wingblades]

[It hits him, but with the armor on, he doesn't react to it much (though he can tell her kick is something that's not normal.) He leaps back again, goes for another tactic.

He charges, feints a strike at her upper body, but at the last minute does a quick reversal (which would be an equivalent of a really fast side step for her) so he's facing her side quickly, and aiming a strike at her feet.]

[wingblades]

[Ven blinks and looks up at Lea, forcing a grin on.]

Hey, Lea. Just kinda waiting my turn here. Other people need it more than I do, so I can wait.

[emblazing]

[ she observes him for herself. there is always a level of responsibility for knowing any who might fight with her. ]

Am I right in assuming this was your first battle?

[ it's not judgement, just quiet observation. she seats herself, smooths her skirt. ]

You look like you've been through hell.

[the smile makes him grin in reflex, but it fades quickly as he gets a closer look at Ven's injuries. Some are worse than others, but it's the sheer number that alarms him.]

What happened?

169 - Evening

[Sora is in the arena, with dried mud still stuck in his hair and clinging to his clothing. What matters is he's alive and not suffering any life-threatening wounds. Hercules is safe in his room in Freya, surrounded by all the edible greens that could fit into the space. With his pet taken care of, Sora is free to move around and talk to old friends and new faces.

Either he isn't being observant or Lea is a master at blending into scenery (or maybe both) because Sora doesn't notice him the first time he passes. The second time, not long after the first, he stops for a chat.]

Hey Axel, how are you doing?

[Lea can blend in when he wants, but the truth is also that Sora can be rather unobservant. Though to be fair, he almost doesn't recognize him the first go around under all of that mud and dirt.

He's missing his coat, having decided to just ditch it since Namine had to cut it away to get at his earlier injury. Luckily he managed to rustle up a relatively clean black t-shirt.

There's no point in trying to correct Sora about his name at this point.]

Well, look who it is. What've you been up to?

Besides rolling around in the mud.

[wingblades]

[Ven laughs a litle, before wincing cause ow. Ribs.]

These aren't all mine. I just took the injuries of others who can't really stand them or need the relief to survive. That's what my power is here. For some reason, I kinda learned to deal with the pain.

[doomfire]

[ hmm ] We might be able to split up, unless you think it's safer to stay together.

[tenacityformed]

[gives a sort of...sad, fond little smile at that.]

Sounds like a pain. [Literally.] But, that's just like you, helping out people you don't even know.

[a pause]

Sure you're gonna be okay?

[wingblades]

Yeah, I'll be fine. I just need to wait my turn to get healed.

[He pokes at a bruise on his arm thoughtfully, only grimacing slightly, before looking back up at him.]

Have you been okay though?

[tenacityformed]

[Ven stop poking your wounds and making those faces, Lea doesn't like to see you hurting.

But he shrugs, grinning.]

Got a little scraped up earlier. [icicles stabbing into his shoulder and sides, no big deal.] But Namine patched me up, so m'okay now.

[suppressthedark]

[He gives a start as his name's called, wincing and glancing up at the person who'd just called his name.]

...Malik?

[That's...unexpected. For now, he's too tired to even be wary, and he's already been told that everything's...mostly worked out. He tries to stand, but settles back down with a grunt when his body complains at it.]

[trinitylimit]

[At that, Sora rubs his hand against his cheek, then wipes what he figures is dirt on his already filthy shorts. He doesn't take offense to Lea's comment; it translates as a playful jab. He's capable of forming retorts.]

I've been fighting too. Don't you know a warrior when you see one?

[wingblades]

Oh good, she's safe.

[He looks genuinely relieved. Yes, good, Namine is safe. One less KH kid to worry about.]

Do you know how the others are?

[singlehandedly]

This is not a good place for rest.

[You look like hell. You need rest, and you probably need a healer to look at you, too. Please tell me you're able to walk.

That goes unsaid. Perhaps it's just on hold for now, as he looks down at Ichigo and can't quite hide how tired he is himself.]

Didn't know warriors could be so shrimpy, most of the enemies probably just looked right over your head. Sure all that dirt isn't because they just trampled right over you?

[reaches out and wipes more grime off his nose.]

[Everyone's tired, aren't they? Trying their best and continuing to fight, to heal everyone...He can't just sleep at a time like this.

Gritting his teeth, he slowly, slowly manages to get to his feet, hissing as the burn on his leg gives him a new shot of pain. He's mostly leaning against the wall, but he's up.

After all, he's had worse.]

Ngh....I know.

[tenacityformed]

Yeah, she's good. Roxas and Sora are fine, too.

[that's about all that he knows, honestly. Everyone else he's still working on checking in with. After a moment, he reaches over to wipe some dirt off Ven's cheek.]

D'you want me to get ya anything?

[singlehandedly]

[He looks startled for a moment, like he's forgotten they're there. Maybe he has. It happens, when you're only focusing on getting things done, then he huffs what might've been a very quiet laugh. Nods.]

I would be grateful if you did.

[wingblades]

... okay, good-- hey!

[Yep, that's some whining there 8( dangit he's not some kid who needs his nose wiped. Huff >8(]

I know we're low in supplies, but do you think maybe there's food around? I'm kinda starving.

[redpaintednails]

[Oops Shinji, she was this close to step on you. Well, without shoes she wouldn't hurt him a lot, but still. She takes a step behind to give the kid space because, um, awkward.]

And you can really do it with... [How to name that thing?] With whatever you're using! Can you really drive it?

[It was a fond gesture ok you're dirty :<]

Think I passed some tables with some food earlier, I'll go grab ya somethin'. Don't move.

[gives him a grin and gets up to go round up some food. He comes back a few minutes later with some fruit and also a damp cloth in case Ven wants to clean up a bit.]

There wasn't much to choose from, but hope this'll do.

[Malik notices. The gritted teeth, the hiss, the way he's evidently not wanting to trust his legs to carry him.]

But rest you should. We do not know when the fighting will continue. [A beat. He knows how it is, to not want to take up the energy of those who are healing when there are those who may not last the hour. Priorities are important, but at the same time, it is pointless to go into the next battle in a condition that will only get you killed then.]

If you do not wish to be healed, at least see that your injuries are treated.
