END OF ARC 1: DAY 171-172 BATTLE
[At dawn of Day 171, the battle begins again. It's the same as before, only both sides' troops are better organized. The first day will go badly: losses will be heavy, as the forces of Asgard as their allies seem overwhelmed by the numbers and ferocity of their opponents. The more battle-ready gods themselves can be seen openly on the battlefield today (Thor, Heimdall, Baldr, & Freya as melee. Loki, Sigyn, & Hel as mostly-unseen magical support. Freyr is still on a boat.). At night the battle pauses for a few brief hours, only long enough to bring in the wounded and the dead.
However, on Day 172, things begin to look up again. Another wave of reinforcements arrives, this time a large army of mostly human but partly elven forces, along with a few leaders who can quickly be pointed out as gods. This new army helps turn the tide, and this day goes well for the "good" side (though only by a slim margin).
But it still isn't over. In fact, it seems like it could draw out for a long time, until every bit of Asgard's side is destroyed.]
[ooc note: this is the catch-all log for Days 171-172 (Nov 8-11)! It includes the battle, but can be used for anything going on in the city, for medics, etc. Anything that isn't in the shelter can go here.
The shelter log is here. The Day 173 downtime log is here. Please be sure to include the day/time of day in the subject line of top-level threads. Also, be sure to have read the entire plot post.
There is a timeline of all important posts in the ooc comm here. If you have plot questions, please submit them to the plot post so everyone else can get the answers. Thank you!]

And afterwards, you can oversee your world's recreation--become it's new Queen or goddess or whatever you want to be. It's up to you.

You're - you're joking, right? You've got to be joking...!

In response, Vanitas cocks his head a bit.] Little hard to take in? Well, that's understandable. It'll just take some time.

[This is absolutely crazy. But - she knows he isn't just messing with her. He's serious.]
I don't want to see anything recreated! Especially my own world!

It's the only way.

[She's moving to grab his hand.]
Let's go back to the arena!

Are you listening to anything I've said? You go back, and take Dog with you.
no subject
You're not - [Oh, denial.] - You're not on their side! You're just confused. [She's making another grab for his hand.] So come on already!

[Then, he raises his other hand, and her shadow leaps. But not to harm her. It turns into a kind of hand, that wraps around her waist and lifts her off the ground, then starts to carry her off towards the gate.]

Vanitas-! Quit it!
no subject
[That's all he says, before he turns and head back to the fighting. The shadow will carry her right up to the city gate, before it dissolves back into the ground.]
