Day 319

Perfect. The front doors to their new home in Thor would be easily recognized by anyone who ever knew the Doctor. It wasn't an ordinary front door - oh no. There were two doors, painted blue with small windows at the top. Even the porch light overhead had been changed to look like the light on top of the TARDIS' blue boxy self. Her St. John Ambulance sticker was back too, on the door without the white sign that included instructions. Perhaps it was strange to have a sign that read Police Public Call Box over a door to a building but it felt like home that way. Surely the others would agree.

Unfortunately the only thing she couldn't do was make it bigger on the inside. The technology just didn't work here. Oh well.

She stepped forward and pulled the doors open as they were meant to be. Welcome home, everyone. And welcome to everyone who wishes to visit because the doors are left open. Feel free to just wander on in. There's bound to be someone about to harass. Also, a plethora of kittens thanks to Six's curse.

[The blush wasn't going away. Alice knew that the TARDIS was actually a ship, she did. But right now she was a woman, a woman who... her mind didn't let it get any further.]

It... but... [Congratulations, TARDIS, you have rendered Alice silent.]

[She uses her free hand to stroke the girl's head.]

Let's speak nothing else on this matter. We've got a room to find.

Oh ah... [She still had some pink in her cheeks as she nodded.]

Could my room look over the garden? Is there a garden? Can there be a garden?

[Good, no more thinking about it.]

It can. And we do have something of a garden. It needs a little color added.

Can I take care of it? I don't have the growth power but I do know how to tend a garden!

[sexyoldgirl]

Of course, dear. I doubt anyone will object. They will probably appreciate it too, what with them being busy with work.

[Speaking of busy...]

Have you got a teacher here?

Oh ah... [From one touchy subject to another.]

I... had one. Miss Hermione but, she... [Alice's smile fell and she pulled at her fingers.]

She was returned home... so no, Miss Tardis, no teacher.

[sexyoldgirl]

[She squeezes Alice's hand gently.]

We'll find you one and perhaps she'll return.

[madcuriosity]

I want her to return but... that... is selfish, isn't it? To want her to come to a war, away from her family and friends? [She kept a hold of the TARDIS' hand.] But I miss my friend.

[sexyoldgirl]

It's not selfish to want someone you care for by your side. I'm quite certain that she had friends here too and would want to be with them if she could. [Just like the TARDIS did even after realizing that she could go home and still be with the Doctor.]

Do you think that at least... some part of us remembers Asgard, even if we mayn't? Supposed we dream of it but it slips our mind just as we wake but our hearts feel both lighter and sadder all at once? It isn't impossible... right?

If there is one thing that I have learned while traveling with the Doctor - it's that nothing is truly impossible.

[And she means it.]

[She smiles as she climbs the stairs and looks all around the rooms. It would seem she and the Tardis and Marigold are first to arrive. She looks about, going to each room to gaze out the windows and find the one she likes best.]

I don't want to forget anyone. [She says as she looks out a window over looking the porch.] Oh some nasty sorts, I suppose. But I want to remember even them in a way. Even the worst sort of person could teach you something.

[Not surprising, really. Some of the others had more belongings than the TARDIS did. Well, probably most of them do actually.]

Good or bad, we are affected by all sorts.

[madcuriosity]

Yes, but I have you, and you're very good sort. The Doctors too. I'm fortunate that it seems mostly good sorts have been here. [Though she had a few choice bad words for Thor.]

[sexyoldgirl]

There's no mistake in that. We choose only the best to spend our time with. [And Alice fit the qualities they looked for.] I've had some encounters with the bad sort. Nothing new there.

[madcuriosity]

Well, enough talk of bad sorts. [Alice suddenly said as they went into yet another room.] We don't intend on having any live with us. Let's change the subject.

[sexyoldgirl]

[Change the subject? She can do that.] Seen any you like?

[madcuriosity]

[She paused at one room, where it had a giant window with a windowsill. The window, rather than opening up and down, was two separate panes that opened like doors. She went over to the window and looked out. Not the porch, but the backyard was in front of her.]

Perfect! This one, please!

[sexyoldgirl]

It's yours. [Simple as that.] We'll bring your things up and put them away.

Could we please paint the walls purple, Miss Tardis?

[sexyoldgirl]

We certainly can. You and I can fetch the paint today.

[madcuriosity]

Splendid! Should we get other colors since the others might want to paint their room? Or should we wait? Are we going to paint main rooms of the house? How... many rooms are there, exactly, will there be enough for everyone?

[sexyoldgirl]

We should wait to find out what they want. [She knows them pretty well but not enough to pick their paint. If this was her TARDIS-shaped home she would.] We can paint the main rooms. I've not counted the number of rooms but I hardly need one.

Well, maybe we should paint the living room a pretty light blue, or maybe a bright cheery yellow! There are so many options!
