Day 319

Perfect. The front doors to their new home in Thor would be easily recognized by anyone who ever knew the Doctor. It wasn't an ordinary front door - oh no. There were two doors, painted blue with small windows at the top. Even the porch light overhead had been changed to look like the light on top of the TARDIS' blue boxy self. Her St. John Ambulance sticker was back too, on the door without the white sign that included instructions. Perhaps it was strange to have a sign that read Police Public Call Box over a door to a building but it felt like home that way. Surely the others would agree.

Unfortunately the only thing she couldn't do was make it bigger on the inside. The technology just didn't work here. Oh well.

She stepped forward and pulled the doors open as they were meant to be. Welcome home, everyone. And welcome to everyone who wishes to visit because the doors are left open. Feel free to just wander on in. There's bound to be someone about to harass. Also, a plethora of kittens thanks to Six's curse.

[Maybe it's something to do with being British. Or English. Whatever. Sometimes people make the mistake of listening to how she says things rather than what she says. Happens to the best of us. Even weird... alien guys.] What? Nah, I'm fine. I just mean, I dunno how much more alien stuff I can take. [But she's smiling, and her tone is light. Honest, just... brusque.] I still don't have your name. Uh, either of your... name.

[Eight looks relieved and smiles back at her.]

Well, you won't have to deal with too much "alien stuff". The gods saw fit to make us human while we're here.

And we're just called the Doctor. A bit difficult, what with there being five of us, so we've gotten into the habit of calling each other by, ah, numbers. In order of which incarnation we are.

[Okay, yes, it sounds ridiculous, but referring to each of them by their clothing style was getting a bit too unwieldy.]

I am the eighth incarnation, so I am usually just called Eight.
