What: Bad Moon Rising: Week Two

Where: All across the city.

[ You've been on edge. Inexplicably, so far as you can tell in the moments after those short bouts of quick, sharp anger you've experienced in the past few days - but maybe it's simply stress from the recent attacks on the city. Perhaps some rest will help, or a nice day at Folkvang to decompress and gather yourself.

Whatever you try, though, the odd feeling of being off stubbornly lingers on. Anger is joined by discomfort, the shadows in the corners of the room just a little bit darker than usual and did you see something dart down that alley way? The hallucinations creep into every day activities, paranoia and snappishness leading to insomnia and sleep deprivation. Try as you may to ignore it, the symptoms only seem to escalate over time. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's something else entirely.

But it's stubbornly lingering on. Perhaps some rest will help ... ]

[May tenses, fingers curling into fists but she holds back Closes her eyes and breathes in, collecting herself and making sure she's in check before she speaks.]

It's cool, don't worry about it. [She forces a smile.] Just be careful next time.

[Her lips pulled back and claws were visible. She looked at May, and there was that brief look that was almost like a predator baying at the edge of a leash. There was a dark flash of temptation that, as she recognized it, her eyes widened and she took several steps back.]

...god, sorry. [She reached up to press her fingers to her forehead.] I haven't been myself lately.

[She blinks, stepping back a few feet herself.] It uh...It's okay? I'm getting that this seems to be a thing.

[She's rubbing her forehead and nodding.] It's... apparently not just me these days. Not that this really helps my mood.

God, this is the last thing any of us need.

I'm with you on that. I don't even know what's been going on around here and I'm willing to agree. I mean, like, no one needs this kind of 'I'm going to cut your throat out if you look at me funny' sort of mentality...ever.

Thiazi. [She growled and her claws extended before she closed her eyes and nodded.] The gods have said it's probably her, and I'll buy that. This is the sort of thing she's done in the past, just bigger scale. She's messing with us, maybe through the bracelets. I know she's tried to hack in and mess with Loki before.

{May nods.] Right, yeah. Good to know. I just....Oak and ash this is not what I was expecting when I showed up here. I don't even know what I was expecting but it wasn't that everyone was ready to turn on each other, due to magical hijacking.

...Though, I suppose I should have probably guessed something was going to be up. What with the war and all that.

The war's also been ramping up. We really pissed her off a while ago, getting Freyr back from her. I think she's pissed and retaliating. It means she's taking the kid gloves off.

[may makes a small sound in her throat.] Okay then. Good to know what to expect, at least. This is gonna be a blast.

It'll be over soon enough. [She grunted.] These things don't last forever, and we're going to fight back against it. Just try to keep your wits about you.

Yeah, I'm working on that part. [She smiles, the expression a little tired.] It's not easy though.

[samantha_grey]

No, it isn't. It never is. How long have you been here? I don't think I've ever met you before.

I only got here a few days ago. I'm still pretty new I would try and get to know people but uh...yeah, I don't entirely know if that's the best plan right now.

[samantha_grey]

Oh son of a ... you have shitty timing lady. I'm sorry, but you just showed up in the middle of the frost bitch retaliating. Try not to trust anything you see. most of the folks are a hell of a lot calmer.

[She smiles a little.] Yeah, I....Am working on that. It's hard to believe this place is...well, not like this most of the time. I'm willing to hold out hope though. Nothing wrong with that.

Trust me. The fighting gets bad sometimes, but most of the time it's really quiet and they're all trying to deal with stupid, silly crap. You'll see soon.

I'll buy it. [she smiles.] If nothing else, I'll find you and say you owe me a Coke or something if it turns out you're giving me false hope.

Yeah, I can live with that. What's a coke in the long run? [She shrugged and scratched at her head, closing her eyes and turning to the side.] In the meantime, though... you're probably a lot better off keeping your distance from me. I'm not exactly safe when someone's screwing with my head.

Okay. I'll have to find you when there's nothing messing with us though. Just to y'know, compare.

Heh. I'm not that different. Less surly, slightly less likely to attack you with my claws, but I'm still a moody little half demon either way. It's the others that the difference'll be big.

[She grins] I can deal with moody. I hang out with a teenage boy on a regular basis.

Well... [She frowns] Let's just say my mood swings aren't always safe. If I'm flirting, I suggest being in the next county.
