Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

[He was not sitting on a seat. Instead he was walking from the bar to another lonely seat by the closest corner, where he brought his master, Ririchiyo, over to. She was not the type to feel comfortable speaking to other strangers as easily, so Soushi thought it would be a good place to leave her in without any fears.

From the way he was smiling while sparkling pure white, it was clear as day that Soushi was in a very good mood. One of the best moods anyone will find him in the closer he got to his master's seat. The bar felt like home, it would seem. From the way he was carrying a tray full of food along with a pink lemonade drink for his master.

Others may stop him for a chat. They may follow him to his table with his master. Or just simply watch him.]

Ririchiyo-sama, I've brought the food and drink you have requested. I hope it is to your liking.

[As he gently places the tray over to the table while he begins to cut the food into pieces for her.]

Please, allow me a moment to better prepare the food for you.

[Yup, he was in the best mood right now.]

[ If there was one questioning which was spinning around in her mind right now, it would be the question of “How did I get pulled into this?” The answer, of course, was obvious -- she’d been coerced. She wasn’t of legal consent to drink any beverages beside lemonade or anything which didn’t have alcohol in it. Because she’d never drank before, and nor had she ever entered inside a bar no less, she wasn’t sure how she would handle liquor. Badly, most likely.

Even so, seeing Miketsukami in a good mood was a good change of pace for her but something was telling her that there was some reason behind his happiness. After all, his sparkles were so blinding that she was having trouble focusing directing her gaze toward him. It was like looking into the sun, although she wasn’t burning. ]

No, I can do that myself. If you carry on acting as my hands and feet, I’ll become an invalid at this rate. I don’t need you to do everything for me. [ Saying this would be like talking to a brick wall, but she couldn’t just sit and make him do everything. ] I was given hands and legs for a reason, you know.

[All of her words did go into deaf ears, Soushi was already working on cutting the food into smaller portions as he usually does back in their world. You can say, he was in a state of imagination where everything he is now doing is from his daily routine which includes ignoring his precious master for a couple of seconds.]

No, please, you do not have to. I insist upon taking care of this menial task, it will be no trouble at all. [His gaze will finally turn to her.] There is no reason to allow your delicate fingers to get the least bit stained. And besides, having the chance to serve you like this... [He will take a out of breath moment with his hands over his chest.] ...is giving me nothing but...great joy, one that I couldn't possibly ever ask for. [Adding more dark sparkles to the mix before returning back to normal.] It has been a while since I've taken care of you like this, no?

A while? What, is your memory going bad now? You’ve done nothing but taken care of me ever since you arrived here. You’re always waking me up first thing in the morning, brushing my teeth, making my breakfast. The only thing that’s different is that you don’t take me to school. [ which does beg the question of-- what of her further education? well, knowing Miketsukami, he’d probably begin homeschooling her and she wasn’t aware of any schools in Asgard. ] Not only that but you escort me to and from the clubroom where the Neighbours Club meet. So, tell me, how exactly is it that it’s been a while since you’ve tended to me?

[His arch nemesis -- school. It has finally been defeated after months of fighting over Ririchiyo's time and attention. A world without school are just of the few good qualities Asgard has to offer.]

I could not feel any more joy. No wonder our days have been feeling much, much brighter.

[Compare to the last month, at least.]

[At her question he will place the utensils onto the table, reaching for her hands as he looks distraught.]

It has been far too long since I've last serve you, Ririchiyo-sama. With the time it took for me to head from your table to the bar, order our food and drinks, wait for it to be made, our choosen order being handed over to me, and bringing it back to you, it has been more than five or six minutes. Five or six minutes too long without been given the pleasure to be by your side, time away from you that will not ever be returned.

[ it was a good thing that a table was inbetween them for it meant that she didn’t have to back away from his hands as she usually did. however, now it was just a force of habit as she feels the atsmosphere do a complete turn with his sorrowful words. ]

The bar is actually close to here. If you truly feel that way, next time you go over there just text me or leave me a message. At least that way it will be like you haven’t parted from me at all.

That topic aside... a-a-are you going to have anything to drink while we’re here? While I may not be a legal consent myself it doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice the opportunity to have an alcoholic beverage.

[A soft smile and gentle nod will be enough as he begins to part from her hands. He had an odd feeling she might want her space returned.]

Yes. I will keep it in mind as a future reference. You are too kind for words. Always showering such emotions onto someone as lowly as myself.

[Then her next question added more fuel to his pure devotion towards her. She really was kind, delicate, and awkward. He could not help find her even more adorable than he already does. At the thought, he will smile even happily, if it was humanly possible.]

Please do not worry, Ririchiyo-sama. I am not the type to drink such beverages, only on special occasions do I ever dare to. [Not that he did not enjoy drinking because he did. However, he was not the type to drink to merely drink, but to be able to blend in with the group. Right now, he had no need to.] Besides, I am currently escorting and serving you. I do not wish to cause any sort of inconvience over your character and image from doing any sort of leisure activity while still remaining on duty. I am grateful for your concern, however. Thank you very much for thinking of me, Ririchiyo-sama.

Hmph. Interpret however you like, I just thought it would be a shame for you to waste the chance to indulge in drinks. However, it is true that drinking while on duty would cause you to become a nuisance to me as I’m not sure how well you can handle your liquor. For all I know you could be a terrible drunk and cause embarrassment for me. Well, at least you’re smarter than a lot of other people here who are drinking like there’s no tomorrow. I almost feel sorry for them as come morning they’ll regret drinking as much as they have and wish they could erase the night from history. Not that I would know how it feels, but my textbooks inform me well enough of these so called “hangovers.”

[ as usual, she was talking down to people as she spins her index finger on the rim of her glass of lemonade. she couldn’t exactly control it, and she doubted she ever fully would, but at the very least she wasn’t making people run away from her. in fact, she was surprised at how many people kept on talking to her-- even if some of them were overbearing or irritating. ]

[Soushi will simply continue to smile happily at his young master.]

Of course. Drinking any sort of beverage in front of my master is not very professional. I would never dream of doing so. [It won't take very long for him to add in a more serious tone.] There is no need for you to worry about hangovers or coming to places such as these. Only few people come to places like these to forget their sorrows or enjoy a night with their companions. You do not have any reason to come to these places except to enjoy a good meal which is the sole reason I decided to bring you here tonight. Does the food not remind you of the way you used to dine back at the Ayakashi Mansion? I was told by the owner that all the food and drinks are made by the very best ingredients.

I suppose it does spark some memories from the mansion, eating here like this. [ in her own way, she does actually miss that place and the residents. Nobara, Watanuki, Roromiya... a part of her did wish that they were here. ] Hmph, and the food isn’t half bad either. If anything it’s satisfactory, at most.

[ for a moment she’s quiet as she eyes her plate of food with a troubled expression on her face, her eyebrows knitting together as she places her hands on her lap. why did he go through all the effort of bringing her to this place? it was a curious question, and he had been treating her more than usual -- the opera and now this. shyly, she glances up at him from between her fringe. ]

Mi-Miketsukami-kun. [ “I want to thank him... I need to. He’s been nothing but nice toward me ever since ‘then’. How do I express my grattitude? How do I tell him that I appreciate him for everything he does for me? Even going as far as wanting to know me...” ]

[Hearing Ririchiyo's approval over the food and location was enough to happily please him even more. Everything he does, everything he plans is always to satisfy his master's every need. He knew she missed their home, their world. So did he. Living at the Mansion de Ayakashi always brings him great joy to be with the others especially his master. Every day he shows his gratitude towards the gods for allowing him to remain by his master's side even if they were far from their home.]

Good. I am very pleased to hear you say so, Ririchiyo-sama.

[Then at her silence, he will notice the expression on her face, it was clear her mind was currently elsewhere as she began to worry over something. Soushi was close to expressing his own concerns, but decided to allow his master time to speak without being worried over. She usually gets like this whenever she felt embarrassed, didn't she? He will simply smile at her and wait for her response.]

Yes?

I, um, you see... [ she was completely clueless on how to word her sentence, stuttering over her words with ‘ahs’ and ‘ums’, shifting in her seat from time to time as she picked up her glass with her left hand despite being right-handed. ] Why did you, no that’s not it, um, a-are you, no not that either, ah...

Did you remember to shower before sleeping last night? I didn’t hear the water running. [ ... not. what. she. wanted. to. say. AT ALL. ]

[He will patiently wait for Ririchiyo to make her inquery without much faily. It was obvious she wanted to ask or tell him something very important if she was stammering the way she was. Soushi knew her way too well.

So he continue to wait for her question until she finally told him in her haughty way over whatever was in her mind. The warm smile reminded on his face, he was unfazed by her odd inquery.]

Of course. I always take a shower before I go to bed and after I do. However, I do so in my own room, Ririchiyo-sama. I do not believe I've ever taken a shower in your dorm. [And he never will. :|]

I-I was perfectly well aware of that. [ it’s obvious due to her fake confidence of knowing such a thing that she was annoyed at how she always dodged what she wanted to say so perfectly. she’d give it a second go when she could actually think her words through. ] I was just making sure since a persons’ hygiene is the most important. Did you know that you are more prone to depression if you don’t take a shower regularly? They say the feeling of cleanliness makes the mind calmer.

Certainly. It is all the more reason I enjoy taking two or three showers a day. Not only do I do it for the positive benefits, but it is also a vital part of keeping your image intact. [He will lean down.] You do remember the promise I made to protect not just my mind and body, but lifestyle as well? To be entirely certain, I am worthy enough to remain by your side as your dog. [Reaching for her hand as he sparkles.] Well, hygiene is a large part of it as well. So rest assure, I will always be clean and calm in your presence.
