Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

[ her laugh is similar ] Well... I do like to paint! I wonder how they knew enough about us to be able to pick what Houses we should be in. What are the others?

I wish I knew too... but I guess it's not so surprising that gods who are powerful enough to bring all of us here could also know about our personalities?

If I remember correctly, the other Houses are Odin, Thor, Sigyn, Hel, Freya, Baldr, and [There's a slight pause] Loki.

[ the significance in that is pretty unmistakable ]

Loki? [ ... ] Who's...in Loki?

[Nina's pause was instinctual. A brief moment of thought about Johan's House.

She quickly gives Rapunzel a sheepish smile, hoping to overcompensate for her careless mistake.]

It took me a second to remember the name of the House. [Hopefully that's believable. There's another slight pause before Nina says:] And considering that Johan lives there, it's a little embarrassing that I didn't know it right away.

[Nina doesn't want to mention Johan, but his House is public knowledge on the network, and she realizes it might seem a little odd if Rapunzel later found out Nina couldn't recall the name of his House.

She hates lying, but there's no point of burdening or worrying Rapunzel with the truth.]

[ It probably speaks to how much she already trusts Nina that Rapunzel accepts this explanation with a surprised "oh!" and, after a beat, a contrite laugh. ]

So...it's Johan's House, huh? I still can't believe you're brother and sister. You almost made it sound like there was something dangerous going on with them.

[Rapunzel's words cause Nina's heart to sink. A part of her wants to explain to Rapunzel why she should be careful around Johan, but she doesn't want to burden or worry Rapunzel for no reason (Nina already foolishly made that careless mistake at their first meeting). Plus, she doesn't want to make it more difficult for Johan to change.

The best thing to do, Nina decides, is to keep cautious by herself. After all, Johan is her responsibility.]

So, you like to paint? I'd love to see some of your art sometime.

Great! I love to paint. There's not as much time as there used to be for wall painting with all the exploring I have to do, buuuut it's - basically my favorite hobby. [ And if she looks maybe a little proud of herself she certainly isn't going to say so. Art is more or less the one thing she feels marginally confident about. ]

Wall painting? [Nina's impressed.]

You must be very talented.

Thanks. Mostly? I think it's...just all the time I had on my hands, you know?

[Nina gives Rapunzel a comforting smile and nod.]

Annnnyway. Ahaha. [ awkward laughter goes here ] Um. I've never really been anywhere like this? So - what's good to eat? I'm kinda hungry. [ And also the alcohol she's been drinking is making her sleepy. ]
