Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

The left, once you've reached the top. [ Johan is retrieving a key from his pocket as he follows, his steps as light as her own. ]

[ left, it is. she steps aside for him, head tilted and smiling slightly. ]

[ He seamlessly slips the key into the slot, giving it a turn, and opens the door to a much more private and lavish room -- though still black and white in its decor and theme. ]

Though the music is quite beautiful downstairs...

[ He holds the door open for her. ]

It's nice to have a quiet sanctuary like this.

[ claudia hasn't quite decided what to make of the music. certainly, it's harmonious and better than the bards in florence and rome. but it's foreign, strange, and leaves her unsure. how would she move to the beat?

she steps inside. ]

And a comfortable one, too.

[ He shuts the door veeery gently behind them, and walks to his left immediately, up a couple of steps and behind a bar counter. ]

It's not quite open to the public, yet. We still have renovating to do. [ He looks back at her with a hint of curiosity in his eyes -- something almost boyish, before turning his back to her and seeming to fiddle with some stereo system. ]

It provides great comfort, and an even greater view. [ Which he will show her. Oh, what's that? He's started Pachelbel Canon in D, but at a very soft volume. ]

I hope you don't mind.

[ — oh, are they staying? alright, then. it's not as though eavesdropping was giving her much information, anyway. thank god, though, his back was turned. that was...a little startling, even for the low volume, and claudia is wondering what is making the noise. technology. ]

Not at all.

[ she sits, legs crossed again, mindful of her glass. red wine. (only three gulps left, not that claudia gulps her wine in polite company.) it'd leave a terrible stain. ]

[ Johan walks over to a door leading to a balcony, in which he pulls aside the curtains and allows the night sky to enter view, before returning to the comfortable sofa she was sitting at. Settling in beside her, Johan rests his elbows at his thighs, slouching forward a bit as he watches her, hands folded. ]

It's nice, isn't it?

[ he looks tired, that way, and claudia knows from experience how an opportunity to sit is rare when playing host. she "hm"s in thoughtful agreement. ]
