Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

I dunno. [ Slurred and with a yawn as she turns into his chest, closing her eyes. ] I live at the welcome place. In Freyr. It's really fun. I want to like it. But. [ yawn ] It makes me twitchy too because there are so many people. It's gross, all...suffocating-like. Plus there is no space...

Then perhaps you ought to move out someday. [Heading that way then, only swaying slightly.] I would if I were you.

Nope. No, no, I - I shouldn't even be telling you this. I hope you can keep a secret, Draco.

...But no. No, moving out? That would be giving up. No way.

[wasthemaster]

Is it giving up, or is it asserting your independence? I think it'd be the latter, personally. Aren't you the one who moved out of your tower?

[glistens]

No. [ spat ] I left my tower but I didn't move anywhere. I only meant to be gone for one day. Three at the most. Three... It's three isn't i- one, two... yeah. Okay. Three.

[wasthemaster]

What makes you think moving out and moving on equates to giving up? It's the exact opposite.

[glistens]

Lots of things.

"Lots of things" doesn't really give me an answer.

You didn't ask for an answer! [ yes he did ] It's everything! If I move out then I'm not dealing with it. You have to deal with it, Dray. Life is hard and cruel but we all have to do things we don't like and if I moved out I would just be giving up like an ungrateful person. I'm lucky to even HAVE a place to live. See? It's about not burdening people. [ how??? ] You just... You can't. You can't move out of places just like that.

[wasthemaster]

[He pauses for two reasons, really, the first being that butchering of his name and the second because he's not quite sure he really understands her reasoning.] I'm aware, Punzel. You're making this far too complicated. If you were to move out, you'd just encounter a new set of problems and then you would just keep up with the cycle of life being hard and cruel, see?

[corona]

I - [ wait what ]

N...o... Not really. No, I don't see. I thought you wanted me to move out. I want another drink. I'm thirsty.

[wasthemaster]

I think this is a conversation we should have later, and no, we're not going back into that crowd just for another drink. [Because horrors. And crowds. But mostly horrors.]

[corona]

Mean. [ and she sticks her tongue out like the mature adult she is ]

More like responsible. [He just returns the action. Yes, Draco, you're about as responsible as a baby cobra. Come on.] Another day and you can have another drink.

[glistens]

[ she smiles, closing her eyes again ]

Is that... [ yawn ] an offer?

Only if you actually remember to redeem it at another time.

Why wouldn't I remember...? [ does alcohol have mind wipe powers... ]

I had just as much as you did... [ LUCKY YOU DRACO. The closer they get, the closer she gets to sleep. Have fun with that. ]

Yes but I am bigger than you are and therefore hold my liquor much better. [What the hell is he supposed to do with a sleeping girl though.]
