- June 15-16 / Day 464:
- Not long after sunrise on Day 464, the air in the city will become briefly charged with magic. It will feel something like static electricity, hanging noticeably before dissipating suddenly a half-minute later. This will mark the beginning of the Visitor's Event! Starting then, characters old and new will begin to tumble into the city. They may appear anywhere there is room for them: in the middle of the street, on top of the Ferris Wheel in Hel's creepy amusement park, in the Comfort House, or ten feet in the air above the lake! Visitors may appear at any point during the duration of the event.
The city's natives will begin to usher them to the courtyard of the palace at the center of the city, where Freyr and the Welcoming Committee will have set up stations. This is where they will be given a bracelet to allow them to communicate with the network and reside safely in the city, provided with food and drink, and given camping supplies - basic tents and sleeping bags - if they choose to stay in the courtyard. - June 17-18 / Day 465:
- A minute after midnight, all characters in the city - including the freshly arrived Visitors - may notice something a little odd: a soft, warm glow through their shirts, right at the center of their chests. The light will fade, but it isn't quite finished yet. Starting then, threads of light with that same gold glow will lead from their wrists, beginning as intangible bracelets of light and leading them with anyone they have a "connection" with; what exactly that "connection" is is up to you! It could be romantic interest, or simply belonging to the same world, or sharing a favourite colour. Anything is viable, and they can have "connections" with as many or as few people as you'd like. The closer they get to the person they are bound to, the more brilliant the light. Physical touch will stop the light, and will also bring a sense of something like completion, contentment. When characters close their eyes, the glow of the strings is a soft, gentle one, akin to a nightlight.
The lights are not permanent, and seem to flicker to life and back off again arbitrarily. Your character may have one connection at noon that splinters to fifteen later that afternoon, and then none at all that night. Not all connections will always be "on," and you are welcome to play with this at your discretion! Please note: They will only ever be formed as a result of feelings your character already has - they will not create new ones.
That night, in the Castle Courtyard, Freyr will build an enormous, contained bonfire beneath the Great Oak Tree Merlin planted during an earlier celebration. Things may be rationed, but modest snacks and drinks will still be provided. He will encourage storytelling, games and riddles, and a general welcoming, since who knows how long these new Visitors will be here for, right? Mellow gold lights in the same shade as the ties between the Travelers and Visitors, among other things, will decorate the area to give it a sense of warmth and peace. - June 19-20 / Day 466
- Day 466 brings a gentle rain onto the city. Awnings and canopies will be set up in the castle courtyard for shelter, and the Welcoming Committee will continue to operate the bracelet and supply stations for any latecoming Visitors. That evening, a god will make a post to the network, giving notice that the Visitors will soon be sent home, so that people should say their goodbyes. After the given time, they will flicker and then disappear. The strings of light between people will begin to fade at this time as well, a gentle tapering off for a few hours until they are gone for good.

Regina | original| open all days :D
A year has passed from the time Regina has been here and it only feels like yesterday. The war in Connacht has escalated to unspeakable levels, fringe groups of the nephilim have created problems for the lord that has formed his forces together. The Fianna have long since been killed in battle, their remains have been eaten by her own kind.
Only the two twins of one Ó Braonáin chieftain still live and are, oddly enough, under her care. They're only children and they were once the ones that have vowed to kill her and the rest of their kind, so that none of the half-bloods live in Eire any longer. It is only natural instinct that these unfortunate half-breeds devour everything in their path, including humans. Cannibalism isn't that uncommon or them -- no matter how much they resist it. Or so Regina feels. She has long since foregone her more destructive days, her youth marred with blood and flesh of many. The hatred she feels for her own being is strong and it hasn't gone away. She is the source of her mother's pain.
Yet when she's in Asgard, again, she speaks in her mother-tongue, relishing in it. It feels like it's been eons that she could use her language. Just hearing it sounds foreign, when nine years ago, she had been speaking it fluently amongst her own people.
The battles are harsh and Regina has no problem exploiting her former role as the right hand of the resistance, the savage and beastial girl she was. The only split second solution was to take a chunk out of her opponent's neck. She couldn't exhaust herself, lest she turned on those who she was with, killing a man she loved. The sick fact was, blood kept a nephilim going, the next best thing to flesh. When she had normally lived her life to push people away and long since shoved those away because of her fear that she would cave to her demonic blood.
So it's not a surprise Regina manifests, blood from her mouth and her spear. Thank Modron for the small favors that Asgard has stunted her before she turned on those around her. As much as she hates humans, she isn't fond of eating them, despite what they may think. ]
Dw i heb dy weld ti ers talwn, Asgard.
[ "Long time, no see, Asgard." ]

(Ages, Regina.)
[The voice came from around a corner, a familiarish red-head's face turning from around the bend to gaze at her. She'd come to this place, watching for people she knew. By now, she'd come to expect that they might show up, that they'd be here only a handful of days. There were some she wanted to see, some she would almost have demanded to see.
Seeing Regina, like this, brought back complicated feelings. Covered in blood like she was, brandishing her spear as if ready for murder or war, it made the half-demon feel a few things. Fear. Attraction. Fascination. Concern. The emotions warred her in her face as she watched every move the other made, a hand out of sight at her side, near the sickle at her waist, just in case.]

The first time she arrived in Asgard, she found herself in utter apathy that she was apart from the Fianna that Danu had ordered her to serve. Now that they were dead and the small group of the two mean Arthur had sent, the orphan twins, Morrigu, and now apparently a half-sister, Regina was finding herself impatient to go back.
She gives a soft sound in amusement, idly smearing the blood away. It is sad, that this isn't uncommon for them to meet like this. Regina had done the same in order to prevent Samantha from killing another. ]
I have the feeling I've missed out on quite a bit on your little war.
[ War is everywhere; the kingdom of Tara was falling apart at the seams, in a civil war of its own and many lords fighting over who would ascend Niall's throne next. ]
Into another war from another war. Lovely. I'm getting pretty bored of these things.

If you had only a few days to be here, what would you do that you regretted not doing before?
no subject
[ Is she really surprised that Regina replies so coolly, with a hint of a sadistic grin? She's long since stopped caring for being the way she is, to some degree. It keeps that distance between herself and others.
As much as a nephilim's hunger is never sated, even Regina has her limits. Most times. ]
It isn't? Well, perhaps I should consider myself lucky.
no subject
[Seeing that grin, the other half-demon's eyes widened a fraction and she shifted her stance. When Regina didn't come in closer, though, she settled again and started to approach.
Slowly.]
You never did seem to like living with regret. I guess you could think of yourself as lucky. Me... it's a little cruel. I've missed you, you know.
no subject
[ She finds herself gently correcting. What Danu was hoping for was Regina reforming but that has yet to be seen through her often neutral actions. Her loyalty as an ovate makes her refuse to waver to any side -- human or demon, good and evil. Regina wants real no part of it, maybe to just be holed up and never bothered again. And yet, she's always soft with those she cares about. Without hesitation, she's maternal.]
You look better than how I last remembered you.
no subject
I... spent some time back home. It was anything but perfect, but I came to better terms with what I am. I haven't had that kind of problem since, though it doesn't mean I'm completely safe to be around.
I'm just not going to completely lose it.
no subject
I am very glad to hear this.
no subject
So am I. Thank you... It's still tricky at times, and... I've had to acknowledge that I have to be what I am to avoid losing control.
no subject
It is an impressive feat, truly. Not many of our kind are as lucky as you.
no subject
I had others to help... and a few it was safe to feed on, so long as it wasn't always the same for their own sake. Here, well... I have the runes if that doesn't work, and it gets rid of the hormones.
It's... something, but I don't like to get too big a head about it.
no subject
[ But so she knows, the blood on her mouth... well. That deserves an explanation. Regina steps back gesturing to herself. ]
But I suppose I do better than most. It's unfortunate when this remains the last alternative to the most bullheaded half-bloods.
no subject
[She sighed.]
But... I'm not afraid of you, Regina, not like I used to be.
