Depends on the people. There were people who preferred to be around at night, instead of in the daytime. But most of them were the daylight sort. Me, I kind of preferred the night.
no subject
I still like it at night, but it's easier to do things in the day.

Very few were gifted with being able to enjoy it.

[As they progressed, the carnival loomed just ahead, barely in view. It had quite the spooky look to it at night. Thankfully, however, there were no sounds of honking in the distance. That actually got a sigh of relief. She couldn't handle him right now.]

[Aradia picks up speed and drags Samantha with her.] Oh wow!
no subject
[Another squack and she was being dragged behind Aradia on the way past admissions and right into the carnival. Nope, definitely no honking, but the place had that desire to show off the spooky at every turn. The red-head looked around for a minute before she finally came to a stop.]
She looked at one of the spectral shades that seemed to float around this place and her eyebrow raised.
I have no way of telling if they're illusions or real here....
no subject
It's probably both, honestly. I wish I could tell you, but I can't commune with the dead anymore. At least, not here! I used too though. The dead are surprisingly chatty, believe it or not.
[She lets go of Samantha's hand to walk around.] So this is a carnival.
no subject
Yep. Games, booths, mirror mazes and the like. So what do the dead gab about mostly?
no subject
A lot of things! I think it might differ from culture to culture. I've heard great stories of how they've died and some kind of just blather in general. Most of the time, I can ignore them. It's kind of like white noise? You get used to it when you grew up with it for so long.
no subject
Somehow, not surprised that a few would worry about their deaths. It tends to be all some people can think about when they come back, at least at first. I haven't talked with them much, though. Necromancy wasn't something I studied, other than the basics.
no subject
I guess I have trouble thinking about it since I've grown up with it. It's something I'm familiar with! I don't think it's all bad, but not everyone likes it.
You can talk about it if you want! I like hearing stories. It'd be like the dead speaking to me again, except you're obviously alive!
*ahem* If anyone else is still watching - possible Trigger Warning ahead
...
But, you want me to tell you about what it was like when I died? [An uncomfortable shift. It wasn't something she talked about much.] It gets kind of gory... and really creepy.
no subject
Only if you want too! I wouldn't want you to talk about something you're uncomfortable with. I just think sometimes letting it eat at you doesn't help you at all!
no subject
Fucking naga. If you ever meet one, kill it. You'll be doing yourself a favor.
no subject
I know what a snake is, but not a naga! But I'll keep that in mind if I ever see one. [Except she doesn't know what one looks like...]
no subject
Imagine a person like me, no horns or tail. Fangs, claws, usually not wearing much. It's like that from about the hips up the body. The rest of them's a long, scaled snake. Usually about twenty feet, thirty feet long. Absolute bastards. Don't trust a single one of them.
no subject
I want to see one though. That sounds like something you'd see in a Troll Indiana Jones film. [She sounds way too excited for this.]

You have a new chapter in your life now, so don't dwell on it too much. There's a lot better things out there and you wouldn't want to get caught up in something that brings you down.
