END OF ARC 1: DAY 169-170 DOWNTIME
[The first battle is over, but the second will begin any time. For two days, the enemy forces will remain on the other side of the battlefield, working on strategy and tending to their wounded. Both sides have taken heavy losses, and the Arena is full of the hurt and dying.
The battlefield itself has turned to a bloody, muddy mess. The elves will be asking the Army Engineers group and anyone else willing to help them lay timber and gravel out to make the ground easier to walk on for the next battle.
What will you do in your breathing space? Keep working, mourn your losses, or retreat from the horrors of war?]
[ooc note: This log takes place IC on Days 169-170/Nov 4-7. Please be sure you've read the plot post and the battle log's starting info thoroughly. Make absolutely sure that you include the day/rough time in the subject line of top-level comments, as well as if your thread is open or closed.
In addition to the battle log, there is a full-event log for those hiding out in Folkvang here. If you have any questions, please direct them to the mod post so everyone else can see them!]

[ Note: this is the same girl who charged at a pack of bear-sized ice creatures armed with nothing but her own steel body a couple of days ago. And somehow made it out alive without bleeding. ]
no subject
[No bleeding because she's a robot, but Ven doesn't know that and thinks she's another cool lady.]
Um, sure? I'm not sure how though.
no subject
We can have a light spar if you wish.
no subject
Sure, but uh, do you have a weapon?
no subject
Please attack me with all your strength.
no subject
Okay... here I go!
[He runs for a charging attack, swinging the Keyblade from the side for a wide swipe.
Hm, he's got slightly slower reaction time in this. Gotta get used to that.]
no subject
[ She charges at him as well, and as soon as the distance between them is small enough, she slides to evade the blade and goes for a low kick. ]
no subject
He charges, feints a strike at her upper body, but at the last minute does a quick reversal (which would be an equivalent of a really fast side step for her) so he's facing her side quickly, and aiming a strike at her feet.]
no subject
Yet, no bruises. Just scratches that don't bleed.
She quickly jumps back on her feet, crouches and turns sideways to jab at his stomach. A steel punch aimed at his jaw follows. ]
no subject
Wow, you hit really hard!

[He stretches a little.]
But it's okay, I think I'm getting used to this!

Oh right, my name's Ven!

Nice to meet you too.
Thanks for helping me out with this.
no subject
Oh, yes--I may I see your face? I would like to register it in my memory banks.

[He takes off his helmet, grinning up at her.]
Phew, forgot it gets stuffy in there. I guess I can take it off for the rest of the training session.
