END OF ARC 1: DAY 169-170 DOWNTIME

[The first battle is over, but the second will begin any time. For two days, the enemy forces will remain on the other side of the battlefield, working on strategy and tending to their wounded. Both sides have taken heavy losses, and the Arena is full of the hurt and dying.

The battlefield itself has turned to a bloody, muddy mess. The elves will be asking the Army Engineers group and anyone else willing to help them lay timber and gravel out to make the ground easier to walk on for the next battle.

What will you do in your breathing space? Keep working, mourn your losses, or retreat from the horrors of war?]

[ Ah, she... kinda feels bad for Bianca now. ] I'm sorry you had a similar experience, Bianca-san... so you don't think there's hope in this case?

I think there is hope but it's really difficult to find it. [Pause] But I guess that's just want makes it worth earning.

... So far, we're doing well though, right? I mean... we also have allies who are helping our armies, and they haven't reached this zone yet.

[ She's struggling to find something positive about this, but alas, even she's not that convinced they can hold on for a long time. ]

I guess but...I'm still worried.

I've been thinking a lot about my stay here in Asgard. I never realized how peaceful my world really is until I got here. We don't have to worry about things trying to hurt you or be scared about trying to befriend other people...

Your world sounds a lot like one I would like to be in. But that's not possible, is it...

[ Sigh. No use feeling miserable for herself right now of all moments. ]

But I know what you mean. There are fierce wars where I come from, but none of them really involved my country these past years.

Really? I don't think your world has pokemon...right? It would be really cool if we were from the same world though!

Also, your country is really lucky! I hope that it continues to be like that! [And for a good long while too]

No, we have animals... I learned they're quite similar to Pokemon, but not quite.

[ We don't have giant insects or cool dragons here. :( ]

There are some animals in my world but how are the ones in your world similar?

Well... Touya-kun showed me a few of those. Like that Pokemon that is practically similar to a dog. [ Ah, what was the name.. ] Lillipup, I mean its name was.

Yup, just like how Tepig is just like....well a pig! Just like how Liepard is like a cat!

Hm...I guess with those similarities, our worlds might not be so different after all!

[ A nod. ] I heard that your Pokemon have powers, though, but they can't use them here?

[needsmoregreen]

No, not really.

But that doesn't mean we can't train them all over again! We'll just have to teach him how to fight without their powers! Like um...martial arts! We'll teach them how to fight with their fists and feet and stuff!

I remember how your Pokemon looked like, I do think it can be fit to fight like that... [ Really, she's at least relieved that it won't spit fire at any moment. ]

And when it does, he'll be able to save you and everyone here!

The almighty Emboar to the rescue! [Pause] Oh, if that happens we need a cape for him! A really big red one with his face on the back too!

A cape? Wouldn't that impede his movements?

[ She'd seriously think about it, if they didn't have a war raging around them right now. ]

[And that was the point, to stop thinking about the war for a moment]

It would but he could always take it off during a battle or something! It would look really cool if he took it off and the wind was blowing by!

Uhm... but wouldn't he risk to lose his cape everytime he takes it off?

[ D-dumb question, but she's trying to keep the casual conversation up. ]

He'll just tie on something...like maybe a tree or a pole! He won't lose it that way!

Would he have time to do that, though..?

Maybe? He could try if he wants!

If not, I could be there to hold his cape until then!

That would be nice of you... [ even she knows this discussion is dumb, and yet the other alternative would be... thinking about war again. ]

[As long as she can cheer up Hanako, that's all that mattered!]

And in the meantime, I'll be sure to add some doodles to his cape to make sure that he knows how much I love him! ...Or maybe he wouldn't like that if it's all messed up....
