Girl, if I go down then you are going down with me because you are at my ass.

[She gives her a LOOK then guides the horse toward the park. She wants to do the whole gallop thing right away.]

[Ellie bursts into surprised laughter and hugs close, moving easily with Callus. He's already sure of where they're going, and will break into a trot on his own if Riley will let him. They'll need to get some open space before they let him run, though. The second they have a good expanse of open green, Ellie calls out-]

Okay, give him his head!

You got it, girl!

[Giving him the signal, she laughs as he takes off. Leaning forward on his neck, she lets him take over, trusting the horse they're on.]

WHOOHOO! LOOK AT US GO!

[Ellie grips with her legs more than onto Riley and lets herself move with the horse, letting out a whoop as Callus starts to run. He knows where the go, doesn't need all that much direction from the girls; he navigates what seems to be a familiar path to run.]

Hold on, he's gonna turn, lean-

I got this! I got this!

[She's already leaning, moving with the horse. He knows where he's going so who is she to tell him anything? Besides, she feels like she can fly like this. Like she's really free and she's taking Ellie for a flight through the air.]

[Boosh, around the turn. Ellie starts laughing because Riley's joy is infectious, and she's feeling it again, remembering what it's like to not worry about anything at all, to just let go and take the moment for what it is.

She's missed this. She's missed Riley.]

[Riley throws a grin over her shoulder at Ellie before looking ahead once more. Yeah, she's got this. This is the kind of thing she was born for. Showing the fuck off and dragging her best girl with her in the process.]

[Callus takes them in an arc around the park, slowing to a trot to snort a few times, taking the path he likes. Ellie's still laughing, hugging Riley tightly.]

You good?

Good? I'm amazing!

[She lifts her hands into the air when she sure her balance is okay.]

Look! No hands!

[Of course, this doesn't last long because soon she's grabbing the reigns again.]

[Ellie laughs and lifts her hands too, gripping with her legs. She's starting to get good at it.]

The real test is to try all that without a saddle on.

Am not. I'm going to be like some badass warrior chick riding bareback on a horse as I rush around saving damsels in distress.

[Ellie pulls on a tone of mock suspicion.]

Where the hell are you gonna find damsels to save?

What? It's not like everyone can punch people with trees like you.

[Though, her main damsel will still be Ellie buuuuut she's not saying that.]

[Ellie gives her a poke in the side. Fuckin' Riley.]

Hell, maybe I'll save a few myself.

[She jumps and elbows her. No side poking on the horse!]

Alright then we need superhero names. Badass superhero names.

[She says that one like it's been picked out for a while. Ellie immediately pokes her again, because ow Riley.]

Okay what does that have to do with your powers?

[Hey! She grabs for Ellie's hands so she can hold them with her own. That'll stop the poking!

And end up with them holding hands.

Look, I don't fucking know, ask Alice. She made it up. She's like six years old and she thinks I'm awesome.

[Seven, Ellie. But she stops talking right away when Riley grabs her hands, letting her keep them. Whoa.]
