[Alana will prefer to think of you and your kind being from another universe if it's all the same to you.]

Other than wings, how are you different to humans?

[Curiosity here is easier to deal with than in other areas. Alana will be curious about the world she's found herself in later (once she's accepted she's here in the first place). This winged creature is nicely distracting from the larger issues at hand.]

We are hermaphrodites. And we have many powers, but it doesn't really matter here, does it? [ since the gods took them away ] We are ageless, as well.

Are there many of you?

[She studies the angel a little closer. The androgyny was plainly able to be seen. She wondered how the church back home would react to hemaphroditic angels. That would be quite a stir.]

[ honestly, church either says they have no sex or they are hermaphrodites. Whatever version humans are most comfortable with, but bible never really specified, simply implied. In any case, Satan would have a kick out of it watching religious people freaking out. ]

Of course there are. Billions. We are Father's army, the ones meant to obey him blindly and without question, with no free will and no desires. [ he actually sounds rather bitter at that ]

How does that work here?

[Because that, right there, was fascinating.]

[ Satan pauses and then he smiles like she just asked something too funny to pass. ]

Let me tell you my name.

[ he comes just a bit closer, the smile becomes softer and gentler, just like his voice. ]

Lucifer.

[ so about how other angels are and how they obey God? Yeah. He is not the best angel to tell her about it. Not anymore. ]

[Alana instinctively recoils as the angel approaches. Alarm bells are going off and she really- really wishes she could leave this situation now that it's taken a turn for the extremely bizzare.


Yet again- she's going to need a moment.]

[ Satan pulls back, waving his hand ] or Satan. Or the Devil, the Evil, the Opposer, the Morning Star, the Serpent- whatever you want to call me, really, by now I have far too many names to keep up with.

[ his smiles drops slightly and the wings in his head follow. ] About Father and my siblings, I'm afraid I'm not the best at telling you what it means to be without them. After all, I'm the black sheep of the family, you can imagine.

[Well- at least now Alana has a third option in this scenario. Either 1: this is all real, 2: she's having a severe hallucinatory mental breakdown, or 3: this person's is suffering from self-delusions of the worst kind.


Alana doesn't particularly like any of those options.]

[ of course Alana. Because you are not looking at someone with wings coming out of their head, back and ankles ]

With you? Nothing at all. [ curious, you'd call him. Also because he is a bit of an ass and likes to shock people. ]

[The wings lend themselves to her suffering massive mental breakdown.


Oh- is not an answer you give someone who claims to be the devil. Neither is I don't believe in you.]

Yes, I have. Taken directly from Hell. I suppose I should thank them.

[ but he knows the face of disbelief when he sees him. he is used to it ]

You can believe whatever you want. That I'm Lucifer or that I'm just insane. I don't really care, either way. And it's not like you believing in this or not will influence anything but yourself.

It's. Not something you hear everyday.

[And in her line of work, she's used to grandiose claims coming from the people behind bars.]

I'd hope not. What would others think if you often encountered Satan?

[ he is being just a bit of an asshole, forgive him. Or not.

I don't know. How many others here believe you are who you say you are?

[If there's one good thing about this conversation, it's made Alana forget about the bigger background problems. How can you when you're taling to the devil?]

Everyone, so far. [ he shrugs ] Considering the beings that exist in this world, they really have no reason to insist it's a lie.

And besides, why would anyone claim to be Lucifer? it's not like I'm liked or trusted.

I've worked extensively with the criminally insane, so I'm used to claims which most people wouldn't think to make.

[Right now though, she's about to give up and tell this winged creature that she accepts their claim in case that means she'll be able to end this conversation. She can't spare the mental energy it takes to process this right now.]
