[The snow sure is nice, isn't it?

Well as of today, there's also a festival to keep the fun going! In the park there are tables upon tables of delicious snack foods and drink from every world imaginable. A stage has been set up and musicians both local and from the allied regions of the world will be playing there day and night. If a Traveller would like to perform they'll also be given the opportunity to take the stage.

Since many of the allies from the big battle are still around, the sights, sounds and smells are extra varied this time. There will be people from all over playing games, ice skating, and generally doing anything wintery outdoor funlike.

For the House banquets on the evening of Day 196, there will be separate logs, so keep your eyes peeled!]

[ All right... He goes to get them some skate and Pikachu pops out of his shirt squeaking that he wants some skates too!

Of course, they don't have skates for Pikachus so Red will shake his head as Pikachu pouts. ]

Do these fit? [ He has no idea what he shoe size is so he guessed, obviously. Here you go, Namine. ]

[Aw. ;; Poor little guy. Maybe they should find him some booties--]

[-- Oh, right. She takes the skates and gives them a try. They're not quite right, but it's close, and it's not like she'd be sure of the difference, anyway.]

[ NAMINE, SORTING YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT SIZED SHOES IS A BIG DEAL. ]

If it's too big, we can get smaller ones. [ And Pikachu is going to go back hiding into Red's shirt. Maybe some booties will do him good, actually. ]

Mm-- I... guess they are a little loose.

[... Naminé seriously. FIGURE YOUR SHOES OUT--]

... Is he going to be okay? -- You know, I know someone who found some little shoes for his friend who was pretty small, too. Maybe Pikachu could use some...?

[ Pikachu pops back out of Red's shirt, interested in what she's saying. He blinks a couple of times while getting Namine some smaller shoes. ]

I guess that would be nice... [ Though he's trying to imagine Pikachu with some booties.

That's really weird. ]

[She wouldn't have thought about it either if she hadn't already seen something similar.]

It might make him a little more comfortable...! He could even get a sweater, too. [Thought hopefully one less offensive to the eyes than the one Tavros picked out for Tinkerbull.] What do you think, Pikachu?

[ Pikachu is going to nod aggressively at that. If it makes him more and it isn't ugly, he is totally okay. Red will look down at him then back at Namine before shrugging. ]

We can check those out after a skate then. [ Since... They just got these ice skates and stuff. ]

[Victory. /o/ She smiles at the reaction, nodding less vigorously in return.]

Sounds good.

[Yeah, that... would probably be the most convenient way to do it, yes.]

Have you at least rollerblade? [ Red will tap on the ice with his skate first to check if it's okay to skate on as he still looks at her.

Any experience is experience after all. ]

[Give her a second, she was watching that tapping--]

Oh-- no. I've never done anything even close to something like this before. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.

[She only looks about half as embarrassed about that as she probably should.]

That's all right... At least I know what I should start with. [ Be bad if he just assumed she knew the basics and stuff.

He'll get on the ice now and slowly skate his way a bit before returning back. Reaching out a bit, he offers her a hand to hold if she plans to actually get on the ice. ]

Good...! I'm relieved. [Phew! Although she was prepared to stumble about if necessary until she figured it out, it's nice to know he has at least some idea of what to do and theoretically can assist. Lingering awkwardly but not unhappily just past the edge of the ice, she watches him go and come back.]

[The offer brings only a hint of surprise to her expression that is quickly followed up with a grateful smile, and quietly she is glad that she isn't trying to do this alone. She reaches out to take his hand carefully before cautiously easing her way out onto the ice, eyes on her feet.]

All right, you should try to make motions like this. [ Since he doesn't know how to describe it, he'll show her with his skates without actually moving anywhere. They're basic skating motions to be honest... He's not really sure what else is there to this, to be honest, but he's trying to think some more here. ]

And relax. [ He nods a couple of times. ] Ready?

[lethechained]

[And she watches intently, studying as best she can manage and nodding once he's done explaining.]

I'll... do my best.

[Just give her a second to take a deep breath.]

Ready.

[Aaaaaaand there she goes. ... It's very slow going.]

[ IT'S ALL RIGHT! He's skating slowly, too! Obviously he's trying to make sure Namine doesn't fall so early. ]

You're doing great. [ Pikachu even pops out, looking down at the iced lake. ]

[lethechained]

[Obviously! If worst comes to worst either they can help each other stay up or drag each other down--]

Thank you--...! [It's sort of distracted, but sincere. Pikachu's appearance serves to distract her with something else, but she seems to catch herself well enough.]

[ No................ Namine no-- ]

We're almost halfway there, just keep moving. [ HALF-CIRCLE HAS BEEN COMPLETED!! Pikachu will even applaud since Red is still holding Namine's hand. ]

[DON'T WORRY she won't cause him any trouble if she can possibly manage it--]

Okay--!

[Despite her trepidation, there's a smile on her face that just keeps growing as they go, and the applause seems to finally get her to let out the laugh that was threatening to escape, followed by a few of its short, breathy, but happy fellows. Such a nice Pikachu. <3]

It's no problem... Really. [ Being thanked to help someone have fun and ice skate is kind of weird if he thinks about it too much. He rubs his neck with his free hand as they're slowly making another feet... Pikachu is still aplauding though!! And laughing because Namine laughed. ]

[Which has her all the more glad; she's just happy Red isn't too bothered by it; he gets a bright smile turned his way for his trouble. (She's not going to forget to pay some extra attention to Pikachu later when she can reach him without being afraid of falling on her face, but for now he'll just some more of those laughs that he encouraged.)]

Yes, I think so...! At least, I hope so.

[She is, even if it as yet untested.]

That's good. [ And he'll slowly let go of her hand now. It's a gradual process that probably took at least half a minute.

Will Namine continue skating...?! Stay tuned!! He's watching her closely while still skating by her side. Going to be here just in case she loses balance, obviously. ]

[She's in no hurry to let go, either, but let go she does, hesitation and all.]

[She spends a lot of time looking at her feet, her arms out from her sides as if for balance or the promise of catching herself, but... she keeps her feet. SUCCESS! A wide smile spreads across her lips, the 'I did it!' obvious in her expression when she looks back up at him.]

[ He'll smile back at her once he notices the success here. Pikachu's smile is more like a grin, but they both seem glad that she's doing well with this. ]

You're doing it. [ And he'll skate up ahead a little more. ]

I'm doing it...!

[-- Woah hey, where does he think he's going? Except she doesn't actually protest, she just kind of-- looks after him, then at her feet, then back at the ice, just trying to keep going without actually speeding up. Please don't fall now, please don't fall now--]

[ He'll stop and wait for her--obviously going to look back to see how's she's doing.

Is she going to fall...? Pikachu will be opening his arms and waving them as in saying GO NAMINE GO COME OVER HERE. ]
