[Day: You survived. That was... horrifying. And you don't think you've ever been so happy to see the sun rise the next morning. Things are worse for wear, and you need to get more supplies just in case something else comes.

But wait- halfway through the day, and suddenly the sun is gone? Where did it go, and how is it night so early?

Night: Careful. The terrors of last night are back, and now are even in more of a frenzy than before. More crazed, more dangerous, and wanting to destroy everything they come across. Hope you can keep your eyes open.]

Mmhm. [ Rapunzel rolls her eyes and turns away at last, shutting off her wrist lights in the process.

Firelight was good enough for her at home and she'll be damned if it isn't good enough for her here. ]

I think I can safely say that it won't. Otherwise it wouldn't be very effective.

[He pauses.] Well, in any case-- we should rest. Would you like to go first?

Oh! No. No, your shoulders probably hurt. Plus there's whatever else you were doing before. [ AA mystery that, on second thought, kind of annoys her. ]

[He shrugs.]

Well, thank you, then.

[He makes his way to the suite bathroom, taking the bracelet and flashlights with him, and changing out of his Apocalypse Gear into a white wife-beater and sweatpants, splashing his face with water, and coming back to lie down on the bed.]

Shall we say one hour each? It should be safe.

Can she get all the crap out of her clothes, take inventory, check the network, and draw filler in an hour?

Okay. Oh, um— You wouldn't happen to have a sweater somewhere. Would you?

Of course. [He goes to the closet and pulls out a rather nice, warm, gray one. Probably way big on her.]

Yes! Watch. [ She kicks off her boots and quickly (she does actually - surprisingly, even - want him to get some sleep, after all) plops back on the bed to wiggle out of her makeshift utility belt and...dress.

---[He starts to object in a Kyon-like fashion.

But you know what, he's seen worse with Asahina and he's fulfilled his "Rapunzel manages to embarrass him quota"!!!

It takes some doing, but he'll just stay there next to her and watch peaceably what the hell is going on now.]

[ What's going on is simultaneously the most absurd and ingenious use for an oversized sweater ever in any universe. She leaves her (black) stockings on for reasons that will soon become apparent, but once she's littered his floor with the rest of her clothes, Rapunzel sets about to gathering pillows and positioning them in a circle at the center of the bed.

Then, moving careful so as not to disturb her work, she crawls to its center, arranges her hair on top of the pillows, and curls up. Flexibility allows her one leg extended in a left split and dedication to her craft lets her duck her head without much trouble too.

The reward of her labor is looking a fuzzy little grey blob in a big, golden nest with a black tail-like appendage curling out of it. ]

See? Cat.
