END OF ARC 1: DAY 169-170 DOWNTIME

[The first battle is over, but the second will begin any time. For two days, the enemy forces will remain on the other side of the battlefield, working on strategy and tending to their wounded. Both sides have taken heavy losses, and the Arena is full of the hurt and dying.

The battlefield itself has turned to a bloody, muddy mess. The elves will be asking the Army Engineers group and anyone else willing to help them lay timber and gravel out to make the ground easier to walk on for the next battle.

What will you do in your breathing space? Keep working, mourn your losses, or retreat from the horrors of war?]

Maybe I could add some more leaves or some branches?

That might provide enough support for the other stuff! Oh, maybe some grass too?

[...Actually, Bianca doesn't have a clue on how she could make it better....] I wonder if some wood would be okay...

There's not much wood or leaves available... unless I create it with trees.

Do you think that would work? Make it better with trees and make the enemy have a harder time getting in?

That was my purpose with building the barrier. [ Although she has no idea what she's exactly doing... would a dome shape work in this case? ]

Chopping wood off trees would require a lot of time and work, though... we can't afford it.

Hm...I guess that's true...

Maybe we'll just have to ask for wood from others... [But the problem is would they be able to get enough in time?] ...Is there nothing we can do about it?

Well, I could still raise this barrier- but... I'm afraid you can just watch.

[ A pause. ] Or.. maybe give me indications as to which areas I should cover.

Well, I don't know where the battles might be but maybe we could put up some barriers around certain houses? Just in case if they use it as a shelter?

Other houses, oh? Like, which ones? [ She's not sure she can spend all her energies on this yet. ]

Uh...maybe Sigyn since we need healers! And uh ... [Now that she thought about it...]

Okay, maybe not...it'll take forever if we do something like that!

Indeed, that's what I was concerned about. [ They wouldn't have the time for that. ]

I guess the hospital and the arena are enough.

I wonder will everyone be okay though...I've been in a 'war' once but...it wasn't like this. [She shakes her head] No, it's not like this at all. People did get hurt but at least we knew that everything was going to be okay!

[ Ah, she... kinda feels bad for Bianca now. ] I'm sorry you had a similar experience, Bianca-san... so you don't think there's hope in this case?

I think there is hope but it's really difficult to find it. [Pause] But I guess that's just want makes it worth earning.

I'm just wondering is it though.

... So far, we're doing well though, right? I mean... we also have allies who are helping our armies, and they haven't reached this zone yet.

[ She's struggling to find something positive about this, but alas, even she's not that convinced they can hold on for a long time. ]

I've been thinking a lot about my stay here in Asgard. I never realized how peaceful my world really is until I got here. We don't have to worry about things trying to hurt you or be scared about trying to befriend other people...

Your world sounds a lot like one I would like to be in. But that's not possible, is it...

[ Sigh. No use feeling miserable for herself right now of all moments. ]

But I know what you mean. There are fierce wars where I come from, but none of them really involved my country these past years.

Really? I don't think your world has pokemon...right? It would be really cool if we were from the same world though!

Also, your country is really lucky! I hope that it continues to be like that! [And for a good long while too]

No, we have animals... I learned they're quite similar to Pokemon, but not quite.

[ We don't have giant insects or cool dragons here. :( ]

There are some animals in my world but how are the ones in your world similar?

Well... Touya-kun showed me a few of those. Like that Pokemon that is practically similar to a dog. [ Ah, what was the name.. ] Lillipup, I mean its name was.

Yup, just like how Tepig is just like....well a pig! Just like how Liepard is like a cat!

Hm...I guess with those similarities, our worlds might not be so different after all!

[burntviolet]

[ A nod. ] I heard that your Pokemon have powers, though, but they can't use them here?

No, not really.

But that doesn't mean we can't train them all over again! We'll just have to teach him how to fight without their powers! Like um...martial arts! We'll teach them how to fight with their fists and feet and stuff!
