No, but I know someone who calls himself the Doctor, but he's not really a doctor.

Besides, it's probably culturally insensitive to take issue with how people use professional titles in other worlds.

I'm from Earth. Which isn't a constant around here, apparently. But I works as a medical officer on a starship.

( and he misses it more than he ever thought he would. )

A world called Messaline, but I know Earth exists in my universe. I've just never been there. I know a couple people from there though, and my dad seems to spend time there.

On Messa, I was a soldier, or meant to be one anyway.

You might get the chance to be, here. We're in the middle of a war, though it's a bit unorthodox.

[Especially since she'd sort of left that in her past a little bit.]

( he almost smiles, at that. war is a pretty foreign concept to him, and he finds the idea of professional soldiers somewhat distasteful, even if he won't say as much. )

That'd be where the unorthodox part comes in. Apparently, just by being here and talking to each other, we're helping.

But interacting and talking with people isn't exactly something I dislike doing. Much better then fighting and killing. I don't want to do that.
