After giving some consideration to the nature of their bonds with their patron deities, Sam Winchester posts to the network supposing a theory: if the gods can feed magic into the Travellers to give them their House Powers, perhaps, then, the Travellers can feed magic back into the gods. They have been under great duress both with Odin's collapse and the most recent disasters in the kingdom, even the smallest bit of a boost may make a difference.

Using the same runes from Draco's magic expansion plot, Travellers will be advised to draw the personalised god runes for their patron deity somewhere on their bodies in runic ink, anywhere it might not be disrupted or broken. For the duration of this day, every time the Travellers use any form of magic - be it House Powers or other runic magic - the god rune will glow faintly in the colour of their patron. The energy they pour into their magic will travel along the bond to their god and give them something of an energy shot, just the slightest lift in their strength and energy.

However, performing this transfer comes at a cost. The more magic performed, the more the Travellers will be drained of their own energy in a nearly euphoric way. The exhaustion will come in a vague sense of warmth and affection ( as it is, after all, the spirit of the Mother that gives the gods their magic ), as the need for a nice cup of their favourite cocoa, or perhaps a comfortable nap in the sunlight, or maybe even a profession of love.

Yes, we're giving you an aphrodesiac curse. As the Travellers grow more and more tired, they will grow more and more inclined to cuddle up with someone or something they care about and sleep off the exhaustion. This is generally harmless and will not be an extreme; it will not create feelings of love where there are none and it will not encourage them to do the nasty or anything like that. It's more simplistic than that, a base sort of love that comes in simple touches or a spoken word of love.

Anyone participating in this event is more than welcome to vary up the way this manifests in their characters, but by the end of the day, all Travellers using the transfer will be taking a collective nap for a few hours. When they wake, the euphoric effects will be gone and the god runes will no longer be active. Fingers crossed no one came across them cuddling with their best friend!

[He has no interest in entertainment, or 'free time'. So, aside from meals and rest breaks, he'll be wandering the city painted with runes, offering to help out whoever seems to need it. He isn't an ideas person, but he likes this freedom to 'interfere' and join in on things.]

[And he doesn't mind being touched. He could be taught to like hugs, too.]

September. [Roland doesn't usually greet people with a smile, but doing so feels right and he doesn't question it. Hello, friend.]

You too? [He realizes he's running his fingers over a line of September's runes, and drops his hand.]

[He doesn't smile for any occasion, but he looks kind. Best he can do.]

[He lifts a hand and wiggles his fingers, miming... something.] I've energy to spare, if you'd like it.

[Never mind that he can only give a little at a time, because doing so with these runes leaves him twice as tired as he would otherwise be. Everyone's getting an energy top-up today.]

[He's a firestarter, not the most useful power outside of a fight. No battles today, and hopefully not for a week or two.]

But do you need it more than Asgard's gods? It's no hardship, anyway. Gets easier the more I get used to it.

[He does wish. So, with no further talk about it, he sets a hand on September's shoulder and sees the purple light of the runes begin to glow over the collar of his shirt. When his hand tightens and he starts to need that support, he stops, hearing himself give out something like a sigh before he quite realizes he's doing it.]

[He moves to support Roland. Average height, not tall, but uncommonly strong.]

[Roland can't quite recall the last time someone that size took all six feet of his weight so easily. It's unexpected, but not a worry. He thinks he knows what manner of man this September may be, so mostly it's... nice. There seems no harm in allowing himself to think so, allowing it to be nice, so Roland does, leaning against the other man and making no attempt to find anything to sit on.]

Mm. Maybe so. Seems to take more out of me today than it did at the clinic. Think it's these.

[Roland pats at the runes on his own chest, then moves that hand to rest on September's chest instead. Best to have the extra balance, after all. Just in case.]

I should be pacing myself more, but... It feels good to help. Good to be useful, if only for a little while.

[He rarely repeats himself, and so he's not insisting Roland sits. He can handle standing here for ages, as long as he doesn't try to use his power.]

We were warned it would cause us to tire more quickly than the norm.

I should have titled that last comment, "ooh mr september ooh"

[Roland's not sure why he's so reluctant to pull away from the contact, but it doesn't matter. That warning surely didn't apply to gunslingers, and Roland ought to show the other man as much. He can stand on his own anyway, see?]

[Best keep a hand on September's chest, though. Not because he can't handle using his power today. Just... because.]

[He nods at September's runes.] Gotten much use out of yours yet?

[If it applies to September himself, it must apply to everyone. He's supposed to be the 'superhuman' one, after all. Gunslingers are only human... not that he's asked if Roland is human or not.]

The gods might have some need of it, at least today. Have you tried the firepits in the park? Might be plenty there who'd appreciate a little fire.

No. I have not seen much of the park. Where are the firepits?

[Roland realizes too late that he's holding out his arm, elbow bent, like the dandies of Gilead used to when inviting the ladies at court on garden walks. He starts to lower the arm but then, with a mental shrug, leaves it up. Why not?]

[Oblivious, simply thinking Roland's being kind, which he appreciates. He's seen the gesture before, and he remembers every single occurrence as if it had just happened. He doesn't forgot.]

[Naturally, he does what the majority of humans do when an arm is offered.]

[Roland tucks September's arm next to his body and for the first time all day, for a moment, he has to make a conscious effort not to think too deeply on his gesture. He thinks on the route to the park, instead.]

I'm surprised you haven't seen them yet. Do you spend much time in the park?

[Yep. Small talk. That is what you are hearing come out of Roland Deschain's mouth. You heard it here first, folks.]

It's not much like being in a true forest. But nice enough when there's no time to go outside the city.

[Roland's running out of small talk himself, but that's not a worry. He's content to leave the conversation at that, leaning against the other man a little and not particularly hurrying in the park's general direction.]

Forests and wildlife hold little interest to me.

[He shrugs, a little confusion peeking through Roland's contentment.]

I don't see what interest has to do with it. Don't you intend to go there and catch food for yourself if the shortage gets worse?

No. If we are all hungry, the wildlife in the park will not last long at all.

[What will he do then, he wonders. He eats up to twice what a normal man does.]

Wasn't much there to begin with. [He looks curious a moment - is that really where you've been doing your hunting all this time? Because. Really. - and then shakes his head, tugging on September's arm for emphasis.]

Life will come back to the forests outside Asgard's walls. It takes more than one flood to kill a place that thoroughly. And the plants in the park will keep growing quick enough, if that's what you've been depending on.

You have not been eating the meals provided in the welcome houses?

[Strange. He has a gun, but killing the native animals seems almost like stealing, in a sense.]
