EVENT LOG: SOMETHING OMINOUS, WEEKS THREE AND FOUR

Yggdrasil's collapse is reaching a fever pitch and bringing the decay right into the heart of Asgard. Those that remain in the Holy City for this month will struggle with disappearances, memory loss, memory gain, and other various horrible things. Every week will introduce a new feature for you guys to play with, and by the last week, all four will be occurring at random in one major clusterfuck centering around the idea of collapse.

Week Three: Days 446-449 / May 11-17

Day 446 ( May 10/11 )
By this day, the memory loss will begin to worsen and start affecting canon memories as well. Your character may remember seeing their castmate in Asgard, but may not recall knowing them from home. They might lose memories of their childhood, or forget why it is they wanted to get back there. What exactly they forget is entirely up to you, but the recollection of their canon will become hazy if not outright blank.

This memory loss is not permanent and can return at random, either immediately or gradually, at any point throughout the month.

Starting during the past week, ghosts began appearing throughout Asgard's streets. The Travellers that have died during the opt-out event will return to Asgard as spectres that cannot speak, touch, or otherwise influence anything around them. Their spirits will be trapped between this world and the next; the living Travellers in Asgard will be able to see them, but they will not be able to hear anything the ghosts might say. Any Travellers inside Asgard that die will join them on the other side of the veil to be trapped there for the time being. These ghosts will continue to appear throughout the month as more of their company fall in Ginnungagap.


Week Four: Days 450-452 / May 18-23
• Day 450 ( May 18/19 ): Travellers begin having terrifying and painful nightmares whenever they fall asleep. These dreams are short-lived, easy to wake from, and immediately forgotten upon waking.
• The volunteer opportunity for new characters takes place during this week. Sign-ups are by email and must be received by May 17.

SPECIAL NOTE: As of the power expansion plot, bracelets will work outside of the city along with god powers. Characters WILL be able to communicate with those outside of the city of Asgard, as long as the party has his or her bracelet on him. ]

[Jade's dog is jumping up on him, trying to either give him or the dragon chittering down at him a kiss.]

Ow. Ow. Ow.. Hale, just go play with him on the ground.

[Said because sharp dragon claws were digging into his chest, Hale hanging down with a tail around his shoulder while he continued to chatter to the dog. He hopped down when Stiles told him to, the dog and dragon having a little tussle -- all in fun.]

Yeah, I know, Jade. The pair of them are... ridiculous.

[nukeoleptic]

[ The look she fixes him with is startled and her eyes search his face for a moment, clearly seeking something -- but then nope, she's left shaking her head and holding up one hand in what is a clear expression of apology. ]

Sorry, um, mister.

[ She taps her index finger against her temple. ]

I'm not actually super sure who you are right now.

[teenyoda]

[He gave her a sort of concerned look, then let it fade into a smile.]

You got hit with the brain whammy too? Jeez, Jade. I'm Stiles. I work for you at the Highwind with my girlfriend, Rachel? This is Hale, my dragon she drew for me.

[Hale, who was currently getting a doggie tongue bath and trying to cover his face with his wings.]

[ Well, at the very least, Osiris seems to be having a good time - so Jade's reaction is definitely amused instead of concerned. ]

Stiles! Oh, yeah, Stiles and Rachel and Hale. Those are all names I definitely recognize and I am totally not lying through my teeth about it.

[ She leans down to playfully tug Osiris's tail. ]

It'll come back to me eventually. I like your dragon, though!

[teenyoda]

[He just grinned and shook his head.]

Right. Sure. I guess I can't really get all wounded you don't remember me right now. Seems to be a city-wide thing. But I'm glad you seem to be doing okay otherwise. You're fully dressed, which, ah, is more than I can say for some people.

[Hale surprised Osiris, who'd turned to look at Jade when she'd tugged his tail, the dragon, opening his wings and closing them around the dog's head instead. More tussling ensued.]

Me too. He's a bit of a dork, but... hey, it fits in with me, right?

[nukeoleptic]

[ Jade looks down at herself, considering her outfit, before bursting into soft laughter at the sight of the dragon pestering the dog. Still no injury or outright aggression, but it's clear she's at least keeping their antics in her peripheral vision. ]

I'm suddenly very glad that I haven't seen anyone who forgot to wear clothes. Ooor, um, I'm really glad that my selective memory loss has selected that.

[ She tilts her head at him, though, grinning. ]

Did you just call yourself a dork?

[teenyoda]

Yes, I did, but only because it's true and it's something to be proud of.

[Their 'kids' continued to play along, Hale enjoying having someone near his own size to hang around, even if just in passing.]

But yeah, I'm hoping someone would have reminded you to wear clothes if that was the case.

[nukeoleptic]

I did forget about my ears for like, thirty seconds! It was a really confusing thirty seconds.

[ Jade's eyes cut down, then back up to Stiles's face, expression pinching into concern. ]

Ah - I guess no one told you you forgot your skimblewurt, though? Jeez, um. You can borrow one of mine, if you want, you really don't want to be caught out in public without one.

[teenyoda]

Really? Wow, that's.. uh, that had to be weird.

[He looks at her, then crosses his arms, a flat look coming onto his face.]

Ha, ha, Jade. You're a funny girl. Good thing I know you're a funny girl and therefore am not falling for that.

[nukeoleptic]

My puppy ears, not my human ones.

[ She wiggles one white fluffy ear at him, before shrugging her shoulders up and dropping them. ]

You can't blame me for trying. I'm happy I know you, Mister Dragon guy.

[teenyoda]

Stiles. The name's Stiles, but you'll remember that soon enough. I forgot this guy here for a bit after a nap and woke up having a freak out, so I get that it can mess with you. I don't really know the whys of this, but it doesn't seem to last too long.

[nukeoleptic]

Stiles.

[ Echoed again, as if it's some sort of foreign word, before she whistles softly to try to get Osiris's attention. ]

Well, I'm going to reclaim my dog now, Stiles, but I'll see you around, okay? And hopefully I will know your face next time!

[teenyoda]

Bet you a free meal you do.

[Not like he couldn't get a free meal out of her anyway, but hey, this way felt less like mooching.]

So now I'm just gonna pretend I don't know you.

[ Waving him on! ]

[He grinned, but he called Hale up back on his shoulder, waving at Jade to go on her way.]
