END OF ARC 1: DAY 169-170 DOWNTIME
[The first battle is over, but the second will begin any time. For two days, the enemy forces will remain on the other side of the battlefield, working on strategy and tending to their wounded. Both sides have taken heavy losses, and the Arena is full of the hurt and dying.
The battlefield itself has turned to a bloody, muddy mess. The elves will be asking the Army Engineers group and anyone else willing to help them lay timber and gravel out to make the ground easier to walk on for the next battle.
What will you do in your breathing space? Keep working, mourn your losses, or retreat from the horrors of war?]
[ooc note: This log takes place IC on Days 169-170/Nov 4-7. Please be sure you've read the plot post and the battle log's starting info thoroughly. Make absolutely sure that you include the day/rough time in the subject line of top-level comments, as well as if your thread is open or closed.
In addition to the battle log, there is a full-event log for those hiding out in Folkvang here. If you have any questions, please direct them to the mod post so everyone else can see them!]

Choose your own adventure. See below for the dates and locations. OTA.
[ In the four months she has been in here, Hanako thought that the plague was the most horrifying situation she ever got herself in. She hadn't considered large scale wars before, but now she does- and it's not pretty at all. Before Asgard, though, she would have cowered in fear and taken refuge in the shelter. Whether it was in a good or bad way, Asgard changed her. You won't find her at the refuge, instead, she'll be out and around helping as much as she can with carrying the injuried and taking care of them for the whole day.
If you're injuried, you might have this girl enter your room. Because all healers are busy, she may come around to bandage people up as best as she can before it's their turn. Dr.Watson's teachings came in handy, at the very least.
Alternatively, she'll be in one of the free rooms, growing several plants that will be used for herbal purposes. ]
[ Day 170, morning - Gefion Park ]
[ She'll be generally here to check on the plants and everything that might have been damaged. Nashi is taking her company, so much unaware of what's going on...
You can find them all over the place: by the lake, in the forest area, sitting at a bench. They're going to stay there for most of the morning, until Hanako decides to return to help out in the hospitals. ]
[ Day 170, afternoon to evening, Hospital and Arena ]
[ Instead of just working around... Hanako had an idea. She's building some sort of tall barrier made of vines and bamboo around the two places, in case the enemy forces are going to break through. It's not much, hell, this might be useless, but she'll be damned if she can't use her powers for something other than providing herbs. She's done thinking of just running away. Anyone willing to help is more than welcome! ]
Gefion Park!
When she sees Hanako, Sophie decides to stop her search for now. But as much as she wants to look for Asbel, she was afraid to leave a friend on their own when the second battle might start any moment. ]
...Hanako? Will you be okay out here?
no subject
[ Hanako glances at the other girl briefly, her attention focused on one of the damages trees. Nashi instead barked and approached her, sniffing the air to recognize her scent. ]
Day 170!
Which is why Bianca is taking some time to step outside of the hospital to sit down and relax. It was only for a moment but Bianca would gladly accept it. She didn't want to see anymore injured people right now.
It was then that she spotted a familiar looking face]
Hanako? What are you doing?
no subject
Bianca-san? I'm, uh... [ How to explain this. ] I'm trying to reinforce the defenses with my power.
no subject
[With that, Bianca walks up to the fence]
Maybe I can help out?
no subject
[ A little hesitation. ] You don't have to.

Day 169
Way to jinx it, Silver.]
...Hey.
[At least that doesn't cause him to wince from moving his arm around, his right arm was sprained no thanks to a punch gone wrong, and there are obviously bruises all over his body.
Somebody had been pretty busy, apparently.]
no subject
[ Ah... a familiar face definitely. He definitely doesn't look worse than the poor people she visited earlier, but it's still a pretty beaten up status. Hanako approaches carefully, checking over for the bandages, ice, and healing creams. ]
no subject
[...There's some silence as he fingered one of his miniaturized Pokéball, after all, fighting alone and without a friend is completely different than fighting alone with his Pokémon; he knew that, but still...
...It's better than just wishing that the idiot was there with him.]
no subject
[ She eyes the Pokeball, but says nothing of it. Gonna place the food on the bedside table. ]

day 170, hospital
Although just standing around staring wasn't very polite, so.]
What are you doing?
no subject
[ It's not polite to talk to her when she's in the middle of concentrating, either! Hanako turns to him, like a little girl who's been caught doing a prank. Except, no, it was no prank. ]
Excuse me?

gefion park!
When she spots Hanako, she pauses in her trek to make sure it was her. She hadn't seen her during the attack, so it was a big relief to see that she seemed to be okay, for the most part.]
...Hanako-chan? You're out here, too?
no subject
[ She sounds pretty worn out, and the visible part of her face is... very pale. ]
Yes. Are you here to check on the plants?
sorry for how late this is aaaah........
[Though, she trails off glancing at their surroundings a little. The park is... really not as pleasant as it was a week ago.]
Are you alright?
don't be sorry <3
[ The emotional hurt can't be worse than all the people who are injuried or lost someone dear to them. ]
What about you?

Barriers, hm?
Gmail didn't notify me, and please ignore the wrong account ;;
[ So subtly that she nearly jumps, concentrated as she was with her work. ]
Er... I thought I could make my powers more useful- other than carry people...
All good~ <3 I saw nothing

As he was about to rest and take a sip, he caught a glimpse of someone he'd been wanting to see for a while. So, instead of drinking the tea he'd gotten, he pushed himself to his feet and walked through the crowd to her side.
"Hey. Tea?"
no subject
Hanako turned, pausing from her work to face him. Ah, Hisao... after their talk in the club meeting, there was no other chance to have contact with him. But, they were in a dire situation that didn't leave much room for awkwardness, although she couldn't help but feel her chest tighten a little as he approached. How should she start the conversation... ah, did he bring tea for her?
"Uhm... yes, thank you." She muttered after another pause.
no subject
He had similar worries - what was he even going to say? He had so many things he wanted to tell her but considering everything, how much of it was important at this point? Well, there were one or two things that definitely needed to be asked.
"How are you? You've managed to stay unharmed so far?"
He had no idea that the Gods weren't bringing people back during the battle - for all he knew she could have died already.
