Welcome to Lux —

It's been under construction for about a month, and anyone in the Baldr district (or who just liked to wander) surely would have noticed the bar's construction. It was only a few days ago that the sign was finally put up—Lux.

Maybe you saw the owner's post on the network and decided to come see. Or maybe you were just walking past and was curious about the crowd of people who had gathered. Regardless, you'll be welcomed into a ritzy bar and lounge. There are some locals mingling about, and jazz is drifting through the air, since the owner is currently playing.

Should you decide to stay, you'll find that the drinks and food are very generously half price for grand opening. Or, if that's not to your taste, then surely the music and crowd will make up for it.

Welcome to Lux, the bar owned by the Devil himself.

Yes! Oh. I mean. [ cough ] Yes. It is a big deal. Mother will be very surprised.

[wasthemaster]

I bet she will. Can't wait to meet her then.

[glistens]

[ The idea of Gothel coming to Asgard though...

For some reason it worries her more than she feels it would've ten days ago. And that worries her too. Makes her feel guilty enough that she takes another drink - this one much longer than the last. And when she's through she nods weakly. ]

Yeah. Can't wait. You know you were supposed to tell me about your school right? That...was the whole reason we went outside?

[wasthemaster]

[He pulls the drink back, giving her a look.] Really should have got you your own.

...right. School. Well what exactly do you want to know about? I've told you about the Houses and the lessons. What parts didn't you understand?

[corona]

Oh no, I...I understood. I just want to know more, I guess. About you. I mean -- Pfft. [ She makes a derisive snort. ] People probably ask you that a lot back home, huh?

[wasthemaster]

[The smirk he tries to pull off is more like a grimace than anything.] More often than you think. There are a few people in my world that are a bit too nosy for their own good. [No really, it was almost unbearable when the roles flipped and it was Potter who was stalking him around the school.] For the most part though, a lot of the people I know back home are my kind. You know, other wizards and witches. They already know about our world and about my family. My father's quite well known. [Just...not necessarily for good reasons.]

But I'm not the one most people are after, believe it or not.

[corona]

So...there's someone that is? Sought after. [ This is an interesting turn; for all he'd been willing to talk to her about his world and her world and her chair-tying prowess, he hadn't spoken much of the other people in his world, and her curiosity is obvious. ]

[wasthemaster]

..Undesirable number one. [It's muttered, very quietly as though he's trying to convince himself that it's all still quite real. That everything is still happening at home.] ...his name's Harry. [And judging by the look on his face, it's a very foreign and strange thing to say the boy's first name.] Potter. Harry Potter. He's been sought after for many reasons over his entire life. It's disgusting.

Why? [ No elaboration there; whether she means to ask about Harry's notoriety or why it's disgusting is entirely ambiguous. ]

[wasthemaster]

All of them can be lumped into two actual reasons. [And he holds up a hand to tick off on his fingers as he lists said-reasons.] First of all, he's famous, or infamous. Depending on how you look at it. We all grew up hearing stories about him ever since we were small children. And secondly? He's the only one who can supposedly save our world.

[glistens]

[ that was unexpected ]

What -- why? What did he do that everyone's heard of him? And why is he the only one?

[wasthemaster]

...there are good wizards, and there are bad wizards. Potter survived a curse a bad wizard used to try and kill him. It's a killing curse, and the berk survived it. That's why. To both of those. That's the main reason why. Harry Potter, the bloody Boy Who Lived.

[corona]

Why...does it sound like you think that's a bad thing?

[wasthemaster]

I'm not exactly his number one fan.

[glistens]

Mm... [ There's a bit of a sway as she tilts her head to consider that. ] Why?

[wasthemaster]

...ask me some other time.

[glistens]

You don't want to talk? [ Her frown is definitely more of a pout this time round as she scowls over the edge of the stolen glass. ] Mmm maybe you should have some more to drink. I would like to talk and never stop, sir.

[wasthemaster]

Not about him. I'll talk about everything but him. [But he reaches forward to swipe that glass again. Drinking does sound like a good idea.]

[corona]

Wow. [ she stares ] You... must really hate him huh.

[wasthemaster]

...you could say that Potter and I have a long history together. The feeling's rather mutual. [Sort of. It's quite complicated, especially given what happened right before he came to Asgard. Oh well...drinking and kind of just glaring into space. Stupid Potter. Even when he's not here he causes problems.]

[glistens]

Well we don't have to talk about Potter then if you don't want to. It's a little hot in here anyway. [ How they're related is beyond her but she smiles a bit dreamily and allows herself to fall to the side against his arm. ] But I wish my life were that interesting... That way I could impress you with stories.

[wasthemaster]

[How about if that arm casually moves to go around her shoulder so she's just plain against his side?] You can impress me with more stories about tying men with your hair and life in the tower. That is more interesting to me than anything about Saint Potter.

[corona]

[ Well - she's going to pause for a second there but it doesn't last long because she's drunk and she doesn't give a shit. ] Saint Potter is a very catchy name. But... [ Cuddling is nice. She likes cuddling. Have some cuddling. ] I've only ever tied up one man before.

...Don't - Don't tell anyone though okay? No one would take me seriously if they knew that. I have lots of experience threatening people but - I've only followed through once. I don't have very much experience doing anything honestly.

[wasthemaster]

[Hey you know what, cuddling is still a-okay as long as no one else knows about it.] Catchy name for a bloody idiot.

Rapunzel. Honestly. Who would I tell? [Though there's a slight smirk.] That's why you've got to show them. You can tell all you want, but it's really all about the show if you want to be taken seriously.

[glistens]

Oh. [ She laughs (a little too loudly) and waves her hand. ] Believe me. I will. I will show everyone. Oh but - when? I can't think of a stitchation - situation, I mean. Um. I can't think of one where I'd need to...
