[Johnny's fast and agile, which is a good thing on a day like today. He'd really like a piece of that dragon, but he's not dumb enough to challenge it to a fist fight. So instead, he'll be using his time to rescue anyone who needs it, fight along side others, put out fires, whatever might he might be needed.]

[Varon is out and running from place to place in the evacuation effort which is like herding cats with some of the natives. Covered in soot and ash, Varon spots Johnny and calls out.]

The "Mysterious Stranger" || The Arena

[ A tall, slenderly-built blonde woman is leading a few faceless youths to the Arena, holding the hands of a child on each side. She speaks soothing to them as she drops them off at the pool. ]

Don't be afraid. If you catch fire, jump in the pool. If your friend catches fire, push them into the pool. The scary monster will be gone. [ She whispers lowly to into the ear of one child:]

But if he comes this way, you have to stay underwater for as long as you can.

[He's been running everywhere it seems once he's split off from those he is familiar with. Sliding down from the rooftops towards the arena he nears the building to see if anyone else is inside. The fires had spread to the roof and for now, he was only one man to attempt to stop them. In hopes that the roof would not collapse in, he found it best to see if anyone still remained inside. Breaths catching the air as he hurried, hand on the hilt of his sword as he slowed slightly near the entrance.

It was there that he spotted the figure. His brows furrowing slightly at the children there.] Miss!

[He jogged near her, gesturing to the exterior.] This place will become nothing but a trap if the beast is to attack and the fires are catching the wind near this area.

Sigyn District (The Hospital)

[So...everything's gone dark, and to top it all off...there's a great big dragon announcing everyone's doom.

Great.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, you take your pick), Merlin's got other things on his mind. Like putting the fires around the hospital out and getting a bit scorched in the process.]

You know, finding out that one of the houses actually gives water based powers would actually be great right about now.

[He tosses a large bucket of water onto the nearest patch of fire and frowns, calling out to the people around: ] Oy! Anyone want to give me a hand here??!

[In response have a seven-year-old taking that bucket out of your hands and nodding to the full one he's just put down.]

Keep at this, Merlin-san! The grey people will notice and help, I think, we just got to get things going!

[ Ange wasn't planning on sitting inside, not at a time like this. She wanted to know more about what the hell was even going on with that dragon, and maybe even see it with her own eyes, as stupid and bold of an idea that was. But more importantly, there were members of her family stuck in this place here too, so she should at least check up on them. Anything better than sitting inside and cowering on her own, she's not the type to do that.

If you'll spot her anywhere she won't be alone though - there will be a gray-haired man following her which some people might recognize as Juuza Amakusa, because for once he's actually doing his job of babysitting Ange, clearly. You might even catch her throwing a sort of snarky comment his way, considering Ange seems pretty annoyed about the whole situation. ]

[Oh look... it's red. And she's with someone else. He was curious as to what she was up to- bitch better not get herself into trouble, he has to be a babysitter too.... apparently since he's always looking after the younger children.]

Oi Ange! [He briskly walks up to her... and then looks at the silver-haired man.]

[Rise is reeling from the info she was trying to take in. Treacherous actions? War? Ragnarok? Her knowledge in mythology wasn't so great, but when "end of days" and "die" are attached to it- she gets the idea. I mean pretty much.

Thinking she had to check on her friends first, Rise went through who she knew in the Freya House, before running out into the city. She wasn't about to attack the dragon like some people, but she was definitely going to protect this place as long as she and her friends were stuck here!

So Rise can either be seen running around outside, or attempting to put out the small fires throughout the districts.]

[Senji is basically wandering the city looking for people to assist- since he thinks that everyone here are stupid enough to get burned by all this chaos, he ends up spotting some girl trying to put out a fire.]

Hey it's dangerous around here, can't you see the obvious fallin' debris?

[So, after he obtained a sword from the blacksmith Shu decided to search for people who needed help.

Maybe he can do something useful.

That's what he's hoping for at least.

He worried about things like casualties and death rates. Shu hoped it wouldn't end too badly.

With all the smoke around it was difficult for him to make out his surroundings.

For now he'll just run around blindly trying to dodge burning debris.]

[Euri was wandering around Freyr, just about to head back to Freya house before it got too dark. But a dragon showing up? That's way too exciting to miss! There's no way she's going to hide, even with all the destruction going on.

She is staying near a tall building, though, for protection from some of the debris, and she's about to follow the dragon as it swoops and makes its way into another district when she spots this kid!!!]

What are you doing??

[Euri looks thoroughly amused at his efforts. And even if she didn't use video in their last conversation, she's assuming he'll recognize her voice.]

[Chie's exploring the Thor district when the weather suddenly changes; that alone worries her, but the heralding of the dragon a while later makes her get up and get going. she doesn't choose to actively follow the dragon just yet; while she does want to help out, she's got more important things to take care of right now. she needs to find out where her friends are first. once she does that, though, she'll definitely do her best to lend to the effort.

despite her goal in mind, if she's caught during her dash toward the Freyr and Freya districts—where the majority of her friends and new acquaintances are located—she'll certainly lend a hand and check in on people she sees along the way. her protective instinct extends to everyone, after all.]

[Look who else happens to be in the Thor district! This spiky, blue dude. He's looking up at the sky with a frown on his face. Sure, he's seen dragons back on Mobius, but this guy is totally different from Dulcy. That's for sure.

He seems to be headed in the same direction for... some reason. In reality, he's planning on looping around the whole area if possible. Still, when he spots her, he'll speak up.]

[Using all his speed, Sonic's going to be booking it all over the place. The sight of that nasty dragon's left him on-edge, and what's a hero to do in times like these if not rush out and make sure people are safe?

With his speed cut down severely compared to his regular powers, it's hard to make huge whirlwinds or kick dragon butt like he could at home, so he'll be largely on the defensive. It's not his style, but being in Asgard's left him very aware of his limits.

Nonetheless, if anyone needs a hand, he'll be ready to help in what ever way he can.]

Freya District

[After her initial shock at seeing a dragon, of all things, flying over the city, she ran out of Freya House to do what she could to help keep the city from burning, at least. Part of her wanted to check up on Ange, Battler, and Shannon, but she thought they'd (probably) have enough sense to stay out of danger, and it was more urgent to keep the damage being caused by the dragon as limited as possible.

So she stayed in the Freya district, organizing bucket brigades to put out fires, directing others to safer areas, and using her Charm power to help the most panicked people she encountered to calm down.]

Anywhere and everywhere

[A dragon.

Capell'd seen his fair share of them by now, but this one was incredibly different from what he'd dealt with before. This was nothing like the creatures found in Casandra, and it was probably a heck of a lot stronger.

But that didn't mean he couldn't follow and try to make sure no one was going to get hurt by being in its way. Most of what he managed to do was keep people from the flames left in the monster's wake. He couldn't really live up to Sigmund's name if he didn't try to do everything he could.

Even if there wasn't much he could do in the end.]

[Atobe was out with his own fair share of trouble trying to help people. He's not used to being the one actually doing manual labor, but he wasn't selfish enough to only look out for himself in a land he is declaring his, whether the gods like it or not. So here he is trying to push away from debris that's blocking the path of one of the burning buildings, the people inside--- gray natives who were too frightened to do anything--- pleading for help.

When he spots Capell however...] You there! Get over here and help.

[ she's terrified. she really is terrified. somehow, the world always seems doomed to explode into pieces. fire, noise, panic everywhere-- it's just like her world again. and she doesn't want to watch this world fall apart, too.

it's why she's clutching an angry stray dog to her chest right now, shoved in a corner on a street, back facing the chaos. in the light provided by the fires down this particular street, you can see the terrified shaking of her frame in sharp relief. there are burns down her back-- her right wing is half-singed and a bleeding, broken black. but she's clutching to the dog and refusing to let it go-- and the reason soon becomes apparent: its leg is mangled. she has to save it. she has to keep it from getting burnt, too. if she can't even do that much, then--!

[ guess who was chasing a dragon! this man with sword drawn was chasing a dragon, though he's currently paused in the chaotic streets to check around. tch, looks like he missed the creature here too, though it sure didn't miss breaking apart everything.

--he does, however, notice the girl huddled in the corner. masamune being masamune, he can't exactly ignore that, especially when it comes to OH GOD DANGER. so the debris that's falling near her? is getting slashed apart by this dead asian, with a neat slice.

he's good at entering a scene in the nick of time ... cooly. ]

[For a few seconds, he's simply standing and staring up at the sky.

Dragons aren't real. Of course, neither are foreign gods, or many of the types of people that he's met in this place. There are great many things that he's seen and heard in this place that are not real in his former understanding of reality.

The flames that land close enough to make him jump and bolt away?

Those are certainly real enough.

And for one surreal moment, Gau is reacting the way he would react to a threat back home: reaching into his messenger bag, tugging out a kunai, and setting his face into a defiant expression, ready for a fight.

His green eyes flick to the kunai, then up to the dragon, then back to the kunai. The small metal blade looks even smaller in his hand suddenly, tiny in fact. Insignificant, as he is insignificant.

There is no way in hell he is fighting a dragon.

Even he isn't foolish enough to think that is possible.

Instead, he stuffs the weapon back into his bag, ducks off down the road.

A part of him wants to find Raikou-san and Raimei-san, but for right now, he's looking for the nearest person that he might try to help, whether that be healing or helping to put out a fire.]

[It was easy to spot the purple haired acrobat running towards him despite all the fire going around them. They had to get everyone to a safe spot first before doing anything...]

[People are supposed to be afraid of things like this.

It's not that Oz isn't afraid, exactly. But he's used to taking things in stride, and he seems quite willing to take this in stride as well.

A part of him wonders about the possibilities of climbing a building and jumping off and trying to get on top of the dragon... but without the powers of B-Rabbit, he isn't really capable of much.

Still, he's perfectly content to stand in the street and stare up at the majestic creature, as if simply not considering the danger he's in, at the moment.]

[Stopping and staring is hardly admirable inside an inferno, Oz. At least, not in the possibility of you getting killed by all this. Instead, Zen's striding over to him, eyes narrowed as he gets ready to lose it.]

[Yuri's power being fire, it's not much good for combating fire. "Fight fire with fire" is true only in certain senses. So he doesn't use his power.

Instead, he does what he already does as part of his job as tea room manager: he directs the inhabitants of this place, helping them to locate fires and form brigades to rescue those in danger as well as deal with the blazes and prevent them from spreading.]

[Odin is his district and while he's been scouring the rooftops of several others he's made it back to home soil, if that is what it can be called. Leaping down onto the ground he looks around the surrounding are before spotting the tea house. Tensing slightly as he watched the civilians run out, he moved towards the entrance and grabbed a bucket of water on the way.] Sir!

[Voice catching the air, his tone is serious in it's accented form but he's here to help. He looks to the other--the manager of the rooms.] The fires are catching to the east wall.

Around the Freyr District, DRAG HIM.

[Somewhere in his mind, he had known that it would eventually come to something like this after he had so thoroughly studied the letter given to him upon arrival; why else would some of them be given such offensive powers?

Now wasn't the time to dawdle in his place outside the Draupnir Theater, there were some individuals – one more than anyone else – that he had to check up on.]

Freya District

[That's strange... it got hot all of a sudden. The snow suddenly melted and she's peeling off her jacket and sweater.

Then her blood ran cold as her fists clenched tightly at her sides. You did not just go flying around the sky, threatening the place that has had Selphie on edge for quite some time and then just fly away leaving a bunch of angry, dark clouds in your wake.

She doesn't even notice the flames or feel the scorching of the flames on her skin before she's running off like a bat out of hell to start helping out in whatever way she could. Without a Guardian Force, she couldn't use magic and without magic, she was pretty much useless to help contend with the dragon threatening them all.

She's running on pure adrenaline as she starts using her jacket as a means of putting out the closest fire.]

[ Tidus has been running around all over the place, eventually making his way to the Freya District to get to Rikku; however, he spots a familiar face swatting at fire with her jacket, so he treads his way over. ]

Selphie, right? [ With a sword in one hand and a pillowcase in the other, he flaps the pillowcase at the fire preoccupying her until it's out. ]

Anon (Intro): Choose Your Own Adventure

A. FIRE THE CANNON FODDER (ANYWHERE THERE'S FIRE)

[Somewhere where the fires are raging pretty well and debris is raining like manna from heaven or something (only the sky doesn't look too manna-friendly right now, does it?), there's a bright-haired someone strolling along like it's a meadow of wildflowers.

His step is light, despite the someone else he's carrying over his shoulder, and he flits through the flames and hazards like he hasn't got a care in the world.

If you were able to see his face in the smoke, it'd be half-covered by the mildly tattered outfit he has on -- but his eyes are wide and inquisitive, darting every which way. You'd also realize that the reason he seems to be getting through unharmed is this:

The burden on his shoulder is one of the featureless denizens of the city, and every now and again he lifts the grey bundle -- to fend off flaming bits of roof and embers and who knows what else. There's no better meatshield than something set there for decoration, hmm?

And every now and then, as he goes about his business, you'll hear a bit of grumbling, pout carrying audibly:]

... Wow, this is pretty lame. That's not a fair exchange at all, I want my other powers back! How is it fair that you've got nothing and still have a better deal than me? I want a do-over of this round!

B. ONE... TWO... THREE LAMBS ON THE GRILL (NEAR THE CENTRAL DISTRICT/ACCESSIBLE TO ALL DISTRICTS)

... Five and six... seven...!

[This time, the boy in question is perched by the side of the road a little more removed from the various infernos created by the dragon, though from here it's pretty easy to see the creature as well as the strange illumination of the palace.

Though, considering he arrived to an ominous sky and the castle bright as all get out, it's debatable whether he realizes it's anything out of the ordinary.

At the moment, he's busily people-watching, ticking off those who pass him on his fingers in a hearty voice. Really, at first it'd just been a couple of people, following the trajectory of the great beast, but after a while it turned into more than a trickle and now there's just a growing look of amusement on his face.

Eventually he'll stop someone with a cheerfully-shouted question:]

Hey, hey you! You've got enough time to tell me something, right? So, why's everyone running around after that dragon? Did he steal something of yours? Or... [A brief moment of thought.] Maybe a someone?

[ That gets Cloud to stop, for just a second at least. ] You kidding me? He's setting things on fire!

Odin House and close to it I don't even

[From his window, Miles could see the sky darken and morph into something that looked like a scene from an overdone apocalyptic movie. He narrowed his eyes (which had been wide moments ago, in surprise) and tried to survey the area outside Odin House without actually leaving it...

The voice spoke. The prosecutor listened intently; too rapt to even pull out his organizer and take everything down word for word. Ragnarok he recognized, but Muspellheim seemed obscure. Hands on his windowsill, he continued watching...and gasped when he saw the dragon, quickly stepping away from the window as if that was the only thing separating him from the dragon. As if the windowsill had caught fire.

He could vaguely see someone run over to the dragon (could it be you?) and try to attack it; Miles wanted to open his window and call out a warning, and he had walked back to the window to see what was happening, but he ended up just watching until the dragon created a small fire just outside Odin House.

He was frozen to that one spot until the dragon's shadow moved away...and the fire kept on crackling happily, blazing...

What if it spread to the House? What if it spread to...anywhere, period? That was enough to galvanize Miles into action (not only that, the dragon didn't seem to be coming back), and after acquiring a bucket of water, he ran outside, on the alert and ready to head for cover in case the dragon changed its mind.

As he doused the fire, he surveyed the scenery within his district; there were people who had gotten too close to the creature and had suffered for it, and more fires burning in isolated patches.

Miles gripped the now-empty bucket. His power would be pretty useless for putting out fires...but could he use it for lesser injuries?]

[Atobe was making his way out of Odin at this time. After his short talk with Frau, he figured he was more use outside than inside, and while he wasn't going to engage in a battle of wills against a creature that could easily crush him, he didn't exactly think that the place burning down was on his list of things he wants to see.

So upon spotting Miles and his empty bucket, he pauses in his step, eyes quick to look him over to study his profile. Scared, it looks like, but that's no surprise. A man who probably never believed in the supernatural happening at all and is still frozen because of it, or perhaps because he's aware of his own weaknesses. Either way, the bucket in hand was a sign he wasn't idle earlier, and that was enough to prompt him to speak.]

Ahn~? Did you bring a bucket for decoration or are you planning on using that?

For the NnO people!

[It takes him a while to reach it, with being dragged this way and that, but Gau finds himself finally near the center of the city, outside the palace. It's the closest to a middle ground that exists, since the two that he is looking for are in different districts than himself.

That's what Raikou had told him to do if something happened, after all.

So now he's waiting, trying to stay out of any immediate flames, and keeping his eyes open for pink hair or blond, as he waits to find out if his partner and his partner's sister are all right.

His heart is pounding in his chest, but it's not like it's the first time he's been in a dangerous situation, and he makes himself breathe carefully and just... wait.]

[Running around from district to district, Raimei has been rather busy chasing after the dragon in the sky, but without her usual speed it didn't take long to lose sight of it.

Stupid dragon was not only flying around, but it was spitting fire every which way. Raimei had to stop a couple of times to save a random civilian from turning into dragon chow.

What is wrong with the creepy people of this town? Geez. They're worse than Miharu from the lack of response.

...it really did not stop her from saving them. However, it did motivate her to fight against the creature in the sky, but the idea was quickly dismissed. It's true she has been itching for a fight, but it was obvious she wouldn't be able to do anything about it unless she randomly grew wings and flew.

Again, the same feeling of helplessness was getting to her because she knew there was nothing she could do. Yet, it did not stop her from wanting to help. She was sure Gau and Raikou would be okay on their own. They really don't need her as much as everyone else did.

So she went off to continue to help as many people as she can until changing her mind for the millionth time of the day -- she wanted to check on Gau and Raikou, after all.

But before she could even find a way to call them, one of the dragon's fireballs almost fell on top of another nearby civilian, so she quickly rushed them out of the way before the fireball could touched them, but she was still hit by the surface of the flames in the process. Raimeo was able to escape with a couple of burns on her body and clothes, and had a limp in her step because the force of the fireball pushed her harder to the ground.

She looked worse for wear. Good thing she was a tough cookie when it came to injuries, but decided it would be a good idea to see a doctor about them.

It took longer than expected to get to the center of town, but she found her way without getting lost (for once). Now, she just needed to remember where the hospital actually was, so there will be an injured samurai roaming on said location.]

Between Odin and Sigyn

[The moment the dragon's voice boomed across the city, Nezumi was running. Out of the Library and down through Odin as if the very hounds of hell were nipping at his feet because this? Is nothing that Shion would have any experience with whatsoever.

So here he is, dodging falling debris, ignoring the trapped and faceless locals - even jumping over them in some cases, as he makes his way with a steely-eyed determination towards Sigyn district where, hopefully he'd be able to find the damned airhead.]

[Shion is, as expected, far too intrigued by this to keep himself safely inside. Though he's smart enough to not run through the district or stray too far from the areas he knows, he'll (once again, unsurprisingly) be helping anyone in the Sigyn district that he finds trapped or otherwise injured.]

That someone isn't Ayame though. While most would have been scared for their lives, Ayame seems to lack self-preservation. Nope, the fabulous long-haired man is struck by how utterly amazing the creature looks. Look at him! He's admiring the overgrown lizard's beautiful wings, that intimidating face...

That dragon is really big compared to a little seahorse he knows.

Hatori...will not be amused if he knew what Ayame is thinking right now.

[It's probably the fact that Ayame has always been able to zone out that has kept this princely (at least according to himself) man out of harm's way.

Still even such a lucky person seems to run out of luck sometimes...or maybe it's just plain stupidity. Whatever it is, there's no denying that he can't walk with that sprained ankle of his.

Nevertheless for now he pays little attention to his surroundings as he sits down against a wall. The air smells of smoke and enough shouts can be heard. A fight perhaps?

He doesn't care.

No, he needs to look at something else. Large amber eyes inspect the real damage.

Burned silver hair. The beautiful strands are sporting small charred ends. He's unsure how it happened but something cannot be denied.

It's a sad day for Ayame.]

[The voice comes from nearby as Frau crouches down near what appears to be an injured lady. He eyes the injured ankle and then scans the nearby area for a safe path, considering the nearest location for medical attention.]

Following the dragon/anywhere

[Gilgamesh's reaction to the appearance of the bellowing red dragon was certainly one that would give anyone pause: annoyance. A deep scowl marred the otherwise somewhat boyish face as he planted one hand on his hip, the other carrying the woven bag containing the passable wine he'd managed to procure. His casual afternoon of wine and needling the residents of Eventide was ruined, and the King of Heroes was a mite put-out.]

What pretender dares call himself a king in the presence of the true King? Beast, no mere 'god' can dictate to the King, much less a fool of a mongrel.

[Fortunately, Gilgamesh had taken to carrying around a simple bow and a quiver of arrows in the event something 'interesting' happened. A dragon qualified well enough. Though after a few shots, he was becoming more than a little irritated that they seemed to have no effect, even aiming for vulnerable areas.]

[He saw the arrows sailing from the ground level and paused, keeping an eye out from where they came from. A breath from his lips and he moved from the rooftops in which he had been travelling from down to the ground beneath. A heavier exhale as he moved from a ledge to a crate near one of the buildings he waited for the other to halt his attempts before speaking out towards him.] Have you any success?

[Nothing seemed to be working from what he had attempted with his companions earlier but perhaps the arrows would do more harm than throwing knifes.]
