[In the middle of the night (or rather the early, early morning), there's a sound somewhat like falling hail. It only lasts a couple of seconds, and is followed by the howl of a single big gust of wind that seems to get through the cracks of windows and doors no matter how well closed or locked they were.

It seems the rain was a shower of candy hearts, and they'll be cropping up all over the place all day!

What could this possibly mean?]

More than that, if I hurt someone here...

[He trails off before simply shaking his head. He'll just have to avoid those candies at all cost. Instead, he starts looking through the candies again to get a better idea of what they might do.]

"Be rough"?

[Something about that sentence caught his attention. What would happen if he hurt someone? ...maybe that's a question better saved for a later time. In any case, he also goes through the candies along with Shun.]

"Kiss Me"? That spells chaos. "Pinch Me" doesn't sound so pleasant either. [...but what does "Be Rough" do? Hopefully not a fight.]

Here's another one that says "Hit Me"... And "Hug Me" and "Be Nice". The first two are clear, but what would "Be Nice" do?

What colors are yours?

They vary. This one- [He holds up the "Kiss Me" heart.] -is pink. Whereas this one is red. [And he holds up the "Pinch Me" one.]

Do you think the colors could mean something, as well?

We know the words each mean something, and the only other difference I can see are the colors. I just thought it would be good to see if that has any effect as well, just to make sure.

[He's gathering up pink ones as he speaks, quickly reading each of them one by one.]

...they could be color coded to discern the disgusting effects the candy produces. I've noticed that the pink ones have rather...positive outcomes, whereas the red ones are... [He winced at the thought of actually punching someone.]

I see you've grown accustomed to the pink ones, though. I would have, too, seeing as they...aren't as violent.

Oh... That would make sense. I haven't actually stepped on many of them myself, though. Subaru keeps eating them before I can, as much as I try to stop him from it.

[He idly pats Subaru on the head.]

...I'm glad to see they don't seem to have affected him, but I'm still not so sure it's good for him to be eating them.

It's probably because it might only have affected the humans. I doubt it would work for dogs. Hm...

[He's still examining the candy hearts, before noting the repetition in the sayings.]

...I've only counted six sayings, have you noticed?

It could cause even more problems for people if it worked on the animals as well. And the main purpose of us being here is to feel different emotions, so it would make sense if it only affected us.

[He takes another look at the hearts to confirm what Giorno's said.]

...So these sayings are the only ones we need to worry about. But those red ones could still be really bad news.

Feeling different emotions, that's right... [Too bad he's only been partially annoyed throughout this whole experience of being here.] Ah, I suppose it's glad that Subaru didn't try anything when I was petting him, or at least if he was under the influence of the candies.

But yes, the red ones are bad news. We better keep watch for the rest of the day, see if anything terrible might occur.

Hopefully anyone who hasn't figured it out already won't take very long to understand what's going on. If we can all avoid the reds at least, nobody will get hurt as a direct result of the candies.

[He obviously considers it important that no one harm each other because of these.]

...I don't like the idea of just sitting by and watching, but it could also be dangerous if I stay out and make a misstep. Maybe I'll start heading back and try to warn anyone I see on the way.

I'm sure other people have figured it out by now. I mean, if they haven't, then I would figure someone would have to tell them by now. [A shrug.] But I'll try to stay out of it for now. Better for people to experience it themselves.

[Although he would like to step in...he's not confident that he won't break another heart.]

I should head back as well, I've had about enough of these things for one day. As much as I'd like to help...I'll start warning people as well. For good measure.
