[In the middle of the night (or rather the early, early morning), there's a sound somewhat like falling hail. It only lasts a couple of seconds, and is followed by the howl of a single big gust of wind that seems to get through the cracks of windows and doors no matter how well closed or locked they were.

It seems the rain was a shower of candy hearts, and they'll be cropping up all over the place all day!

What could this possibly mean?]

[ Because what is having a normal day. Roxas was just sitting around reading comics in his room when the TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR OF HEARTS started and the sudden sound of his window being pelted is enough to make him start a little in surprise and peer out.

What on earth, Asgard. He's going to pull on his shoes and head out into the House's main yard and look around, picking a few up. ]

Either way, he pinches Roxas' side. Whoops. Pikachu who is wearing a medical mask flails a bit!! Why would you do that to Roxas?!

Now Red's going to pretend that didn't happen and slowly inch away. ]

[The hearts aren't going to stop Kiritsugu from running his daily errands. He has odd jobs to do for locals, cigarettes to buy, and general observation to keep up with. He'll be found just about anywhere out in the city OR in Sigyn Welcome Hall during meal times.]

[ What in the world? Is this... candy? Saber glances around her to trace the source, but only frowns upon finding none. She looks at the pasty heart in her hand, and well, just sort of stares at it. It's not like she's going to eat it without knowing whether or not it's edible. ]

[Oswin is standing outside of her apartment in Odin district still in her pajamas and hair still tousled from sleep. Clearly, she's just rolled out of bed and had to go see why the hell there were suddenly candy hearts all over the windowsill and the floor.

Currently, she's staring at one of the hearts in her hand.]

Raining candy? Really? That's a bit too out there for Gods, don't you think?

[Euri's sleeping through the initial brief downpour, but in the morning she'll spend quite a bit of time fussing over the mushroomhouse in Gefion Park to make sure there wasn't any real damage.

Once that's all complete she'll be gradually making her way out of Gefion to wander through the city. Every so often she stops and curiously picks up some hearts, squinting at them. Candy hearts most definitely don't exist in her world, and there certainly isn't a Valentine's Day, so this is a weird, new thing to her. Maybe it's just the gods being dumb? It seems too harmless to be an attack by the city's enemies.]

[ She'd been taking a shortcut through the park more than actually coming to check on the house. She'd helped grow it, though, and while she didn't exactly live there, one always has a fondness for things one helps create.

And who knows how well giant mushrooms stand up against a downpouring of candy rain, anyway?

Jade looks pleased as she approaches, though, a handful of the candies in her own palm. ]

[ So there are candy hearts all over the ground. Jade has things to do, be it working at her restaurant - the Highwind - in the Heimdall district, checking up on the flower shop in Sigyn's district, heading to or from home in Loki's district, or just generally shopping around the whole city.

She's not as light on her feet as she thinks she is, especially sans godtier powers; it's very possible that she'll tread a heart while passing your character, or end up blindsided if yours does the same! ]

[Duo isn't paying any attention as he's coming out of a nearby shop, his eyes focused on a piece of paper in his hand. And because he's not paying any attention, he actually manages to step on one of the candy hearts with a CRUNCH!

He blinks, finally lifting his gaze from the paper and looks down at his shoe. He looks up with a frown, and, upon seeing Jade start to walk in font of him, he reaches out to pinch her arm...HARD.]

[Nezumi will be spending the majority of his time today in Freyr around the theatre. You can find him in the morning going to work, and then in the evening going home. In the evening he will likely be in alleyways avoiding people entirely, but it's not like your character won't be there, right?

[Waver finds the sweets annoying for two reasons. The first is that they're on the ground, and so he cannot in good conscience put them in his mouth. The second is that the sweets are on the ground, and his puppy in all bad conscience wants to put them in its mouth.

It is a sad day when you have to crush a sweet underfoot so your dog won't eat it.]

[ Apparently another ordinary day is starting... no, not even that. The abrupt sound woke her up, but since nothing followed after that, she thought of going back to sleep afterwards.

It's in the morning when she goes out and finds... these things laying around. Instict tells her to pick one of these heart things up, but reason stops her. It must be another trick from the gods, and she should check with people before doing anything brash.

Instead of letting it get to her, she'll head straight to the library and ask about this to other residents. Little does she know that she exposed herself to that sort of thing she wished would never ever happen again... goddamn it gods. ]

[With a cut off cry, Hibiki finds her legs moving on their own, and her arms wrapping around Hanako while a stuttered compliment forces itself out from her lips.]

[Clack. Clack. What in the world was going on out there? After tending to some plants, Giorno peered out of his window to see what looked like a hail storm. Bizarre, indeed. Of course, knowing him, he's going to go outside of the Sigyn Welcome Hall to investigate.

...Ok, now this is something to behold. Candy hearts, of all the things that had to fall, candy hearts. He's seen some bizarre things, but this takes the cake.

He looked around to see if someone had been clumsy enough to actually drop these things all over the place, but judging by the amount that these little guys came in, that didn't seem possible.]

...am I supposed to eat these? They don't seem very...healthy at the moment. [He's just blankly staring at one, at this point.]

[So Bianca has no idea what is going on but the idea of candy falling out of nowhere is just too good to pass up!

[It's not the candy hearts raining down from the sky that catch his attention first because suddenly his head is spinning just as ??? steps out from the CD store he was visiting. It takes him a moment, stumbling in the meanwhile, to figure out that it's not his Telepathy going hay-wire since he's got music blaring in his ears. He can't think much more than that since his vision is blacking out, and he ends up slamming into the nearest building and sliding down into an unconscious mess on the ground.

In a minute or so, he's awake again, but there's something different about him; one that he can pick up in a second, especially with the small rug-burned mark with little specks of blood on his cheek from sliding down the wall.

Look's like someone's human again.

That is why ??? will be trying to make his way back to his house and looking more or less ticked off and nervous all at once.]

[ He will, of course, be intercepted on his way back to his apartment, just as Jade is leaving her own. She has flats on, feet scooting a little awkwardly as she very clearly attempts to avoid the sea of candy hearts on the ground.

She'll notice the blood in a second. For now, she'll just notice that something's off about him. ]

[Duo's actually got a day off from work and is planning on spending it window shopping and price checking! He's been trying to save up for things to place in his room (it is still ashamedly bare), and figures now is the best time to gather prices on some of the things he's been dying to get his hands on.

Stepping outside of the next shop, he spies the candy covering the ground. Are those hearts? Curiosity gets the best of him and he goes to gather a few of them up.]

[Alice blinked as she heard a resounding "crunch" under her foot. Avoiding the candy hearts was getting ridiculous! She sighed and looked up. And then promptly blinked as she found herself hugging a complete stranger.]

Ah- I-I beg your pardon! [She didn't know what came over her! She pulled away and was blushing.] I'm terribly sorry, I don't... know what happened.

[Huh....Raining candy hearts was not on the forecast today, as far as Norman knows. He's managed to get Mary to the park to give her more grazing space, but at least she'll have her shadow-leash on while he's busy staring up at the sky in confusion.

However, after awhile, Norman's going to make himself a shadow umbrella (with more ease than usual, oddly enough) so that the candies stop hitting him on the head and getting caught in his hair.]

[Oh! There's a face she knows! Hibiki's got Fiery perched on her head for their little outing, and she initially approaches Norman with a smile on her face.]

Her expression becomes one of surprise for about a split second before it changes to outright flustered. The candy's magic takes effect, and within moments she is embracing him.]

[Hibiki's on her usual routine - working at the hospital, dropping back at the Welcome Hall to feed Fiery and Kiri around lunchtime, and back to the hospital. In the early evening she can probably be found walking around the city with her Cyndaquil in tow as well! Because... those candies on the ground are kind of strange, but it's not like she can just pick up food off of the ground and eat it, so might as well try to ignore it for now??]

Really awkward to just go up to someone after saying their name, but this is Red. ]

[Naminé had woken up when the sound of... something falling outside had begun. She'd just been blearily trying to make sense of it when there was that howl. That, at least, did a much better job of making sure she was totally awake than the other noises did. She'd peered out the window very briefly, deemed it too early to deal with this since it seemed to be a weather phenomenon rather than an attack, and had then gone back to bed.]

[... So it's a very weird morning when she steps outside and sees countless tiny hearts strewn all over the place. The girl isn't sure what to make of them, and at first she seems to, for her, be quite bothered by the development, perhaps more so than would be expected. (It's mostly because they're lots of tiny hearts, especially ones that fell from the sky.) But soon enough, she begins to pick her way through them, trying not to step on any. 'Trying', of course, being the operative word. She attempts to make her way toward the hospital.]

[It's times like these Naminé wonders if habits like taking Bo Peep to the park every day are always for the best. It's not her own discomfort she's worried about; she's having a dickens of a time trying to get the lamb with her to not eat the suspicious candy all over the ground, please. It's pretty much a fruitless endeavor with a creature as inquisitive as Bo, but Naminé is doing her best. The trip to the park will be a short one today.]

[And of course, today had to be the day she'd set aside for errands. Lots of them. So once she's safely brought Bo Peep home, Naminé will be making her way around the city again, putting even more and slightly anxious effort into not stepping on the candy. ... Her success is limited. She's just got too much ground to cover and the ground itself is much too covered.]

[Alice was asleep when all the candy heart rain occurred. So when she stepped outside to explain, she had never seen such things before! She couldn't help but examine each and every one. She was picking them up and reading each one.]

Hug me? Kiss me? Goodness! How did they fit such tiny writing on here? [She tilted her head.] What a cute little heart, how strange they should be here so suddenly! I do wonder what they're for!

[She picked up as many as she could. Maybe someone could tell her about them? She was reading each one quite intently she wasn't watching where she was going. Which was why she didn't notice she was about to run into someone.]

[When Hugo sees Alice he calls out to her, holding a heart between his fingers. It's the kind of thing he'd imagine at tea parties, or would think little girls liked so so far she's his number one suspect.

[Something can certainly be said about the weather in this place. Aladdin came to the park to have some fun and maybe get in a little reading in while the sun is out. He’s pretty curious about sudden appearance of small heart shaped treats.

[Freyjadour will be spending most of his time around the theater today. The rain of candy had made quite a mess, and he'd taken up the job of trying to clean it up.

So he's outside today rather then backstage doing repairs and handiwork, broom in hand as he tries to sweep up the multitude of fallen candy hearts, completely unaware of their properties... at least for now.

He's bound to step on a few as he goes about his cleaning, afterall.

After cleaning up for the day, he'll be heading back to his apartment in Baldr district quite a bit more wary of the candies in his path.]

[When Nezumi walked to work, he was mildly surprised by all the candies on the ground, but he hadn't paid them much attention. Of course, he stepped on a few, but he didn't know that it would have any effect. Not yet. Of course, when he comes across Frey outside of theatre, their effect is made abundantly clear as he walks right up to him and kisses him on the lips. It's probably shock that keeps him there for a few seconds.]

[John has been around for some of the strange events that have occurred at Asgard, but candy hearts? Raining from the sky? Yeah okay. That was a thing that happened.

John has picked up a few, and he punched a grey face earlier. So that was just kind of his day.]

[ And so Yellow glances up, stopping herself just in time from colliding with John, but a candy heart crunches beneath the sole of her boot. ]

Equius grunted and stared at this 'rain' that had fallen in annoyance. Who caused candy to rain upon the ground? "Wasteful," he muttered, feeling one of them crunch under his boot. The tingling in him made him growl that much more and he glared at whoever happened to be there.

[The shower of hearts had awakened Kuroneko out of her cat-worthy sleep. She checked to make sure that they seemed harmless enough, then finally--finally--walked out of her room. She had planned to buy more cosplay materials today, and not even Asgard's wacky event was going to stop her. Aside from the usual fabric, you may see her gathering other things all around Asgard. Just what was she planning? Still, feel free to bother this strange gothloli. Stranger things may happen yet...]

Well, in fairness, Gwaine doesn't do much of anything as an initial response to the middle of the night howling-winds, falling-hail scenario. He mostly just sort of rolls over and goes back to sleep, actually, unless or until some emergency calls for springing into action at a moment's notice. Which hasn't been a very likely scenario in his time in Asgard yet.

Beyond that, well. One doesn't let a little fall of...

What are these, exactly. He sure as hell doesn't find them familiar and he doesn't plan on kissing/hugging/anything of that sort to them. There is a legitimate investigation of the matter on Gwaine's front at first. Picking them up and sniffing them, feeling the texture, licking them, all that sort of thing.

Yeah, probably sorcery or something. What are you gonna do?

Pretty safely guaranteed that he'll be all over the city, once any particular duties at the Citadel have been handled. His seeking out of places and people worth finding for the nefarious Dumb Quest For Merlin is ever ongoing, after all, until he's come by enough to feel accomplished with it. Things to look at, strangers to talk to, natives to try to charm back into colour. The usual routine.

Plus come on, kind of exciting to be out today of all days. Hug a stranger, punch a friend, compliment an enemy- it's like anything goes! Wouldn't miss that mess for the world. ]

[Gwaine clearly was more than happy to accept the mixed bag of events. Arya was not quite aware of what was going on but wouldn't complain about the compelling feeling she had to suddenly kick him after stepping on one of the stupid candy pieces.

And so she gives him a good kick, with all her little leg can muster - which is actually quite hard.]

[Hugo had thought of upgrades for the tracks of his steam engine and is making his way out in the earliest hours of morning from Heimdall's hall towards the park with his train in his arms. At first it's a bit too dark for him to really notice the candy hearts that litter the streets, but as the light grows with the hour, he frowns in confusion, steps slowing and brow furrowing at them.

He keeps going on his way, but all the while he'll eye the brightly colored hearts suspiciously and half wonder if that Alice girl had had a city-wide heart-themed tea party in the night.]
