[In the middle of the night (or rather the early, early morning), there's a sound somewhat like falling hail. It only lasts a couple of seconds, and is followed by the howl of a single big gust of wind that seems to get through the cracks of windows and doors no matter how well closed or locked they were.

It seems the rain was a shower of candy hearts, and they'll be cropping up all over the place all day!

What could this possibly mean?]

[There's a second of silence, and then Nezumi turns to Shion, smiling.] So who did you kiss?

Does it matter that much? [Not that Shion isn't curious about Nezumi's situation himself, of course. It's just embarrassing to remember his own, and he's sure that his ears have reddened just a bit by now.]

He didn't see me coming toward him, so I ran over a lot of heart candies when I swerved out of his way. It was an accident. [He can't help but recall the incident in the West Block; it was such a shock that it won't ever completely leave his mind.

And hastily tacked on:] But it was nothing like the first time!

So you came onto him, then.

It wasn't my fault! [This argument is becoming really petty really fast.] I'm sure you aren't any better!

Oh? Who says I kissed anyone?

[Seeing Shion's flustered face is pretty much the best thing that's happened today.]

You did. [No, seriously. He did. DON'T MAKE THAT FACE.]

[superfiber]

[Very mildly:] Did I... [He did.]

Are you curious about who? [Nezumi smirks and words his question slowly and teasingly.]

Yes.

[Shion doesn't consider the consequences of his words. Why should he? His curiosity pushes everything else aside just as it always does, and much unlike the way most people would respond to giving such a blunt answer, his expression is genuinely quizzical and not at all flustered or indignant.]

Ladies first.

[Nezumi just gives Shion this asshole grin here.]

[Wow, rude. Surely all Nezumi wants is to see Shion become flustered and lose his composure, but that isn't about to happen!]

Go ahead, then.

[superfiber]

[Wow, you're really getting good at your comebacks.]

I'm hurt. [He's so obviously not.]

I already told you my side of the story. If I gave you his name then you'd go out of your way to question him about it. [He's referring to Ruca, of course.]

"His"? It's just your luck that you didn't get another beautiful woman.

[survived]

What about you? [It doesn't matter to him. He didn't think that the woman back then was beautiful.]

I wasn't lucky enough to find any beautiful women either.

[He says this like he cares...]

[Shion's well aware that Nezumi has the skill to make anyone swoon, man or woman. As much as he hates it, he can't keep the memory of that kiss from replaying over and over again in his mind.]

They didn't get upset with you?

[superfiber]

Well, they both freaked out a little, but one acted like I just stole his soul away. It was embarrassing, really. [He shrugs.]

[Oho.]

Did your confidence take a hit?

[superfiber]

What? [He blinks and backpedals.] It was embarrassing for him. Not me. [OBVIOUSLY.]

Did you apologize to him? Something like that doesn't happen every day.

[Poor Ruca. Seriously.]

Well, he started crying. [So yeah.]

[There's no way....]

He wasn't shorter than me with white hair and green eyes, was he?

[superfiber]

[He's just a little bit startled by this.]

How did you know?

[survived]

Not many people would react like that, so--! [Crunch. Right as he takes his eyes off of the ground, of course. Well crap. He's just going to freeze in place here, no worries.]

Do you know hi--

[At the sound of that crunch, Nezumi takes an abrupt step away from Shion and cuts himself off mid-question. Great. What was going to happen now? Of course, as he steps, he hears and feels the unmistakable sound of another heart being crushed between his feet. He swears sharply.]
