[OPEN] Love Me, Love Me Not

[In the middle of the night (or rather the early, early morning), there's a sound somewhat like falling hail. It only lasts a couple of seconds, and is followed by the howl of a single big gust of wind that seems to get through the cracks of windows and doors no matter how well closed or locked they were.

It seems the rain was a shower of candy hearts, and they'll be cropping up all over the place all day!

What could this possibly mean?]

[She falters, shakes her head - but looks away for a moment before turning her eyes back to him. There's a hint of guilt somewhere in her expression, even as she smiles.]

No, nothing's wrong. I just... think too hard about things sometimes, I think. [Like that--] There's nothing wrong with trying your idea.

[Curse those trauma-driven reflexes. She's quiet a moment, then, almost ashamedly,]

... I've always wanted her to be as free as she can be.

It must be something big if it troubles you this much... [ He'll reach over and pat her head as a way of comfort. Pikachu will nuzzle against her head, too. ]

The biggest freedom is being able to choose. [ He'll be scrapping the idea for now--at least until she's ready. ] But go at your own pace.

[Though what she'd intended to respond with certainly didn't encourage any smiles, that pat and Pikachu's nuzzling definitely do, and despite herself she lets out a startled laugh. It's the good sort, though, and the smile it causes lingers.]

... Thank you. You could say that I... wasn't always so free. That's probably why it bothers me.

[-- Whoops, sobering too much. She urges her smile back.]

But-- I did mean it when I said it was a good idea. We can at least see if she likes it.

[ Good, Namine. He continues to pay her head before retracting his hand. ]

But you're free now, right? [ Since that is what matters most--what is now. ]

I guess we can just have a visit and see what she thinks... [ Since last time he visited, a goat wanted to eat his clothes.

Then again, he doesn't think that goats and other lambs would try to eat another's fleece/fur. But he wouldn't know. ]

[It's so silly and so sweet at the same time.]

Yes, I'm free. As much as anyone here is. [But she says that gladly, because that's more than free enough for her.] It's been so wonderful.

Mm...! [Nod.] If you don't mind.

[It'd be a pretty messy situation if they did, but she'd not be certain, either. She does know that at least Bo Peep and the other sheep she met a while ago didn't try to eat each other, or anything, so that's a good sign, right?]

That's good. [ He gives her a nod--even if they can't choose to leave, it was better than nothing. It is better to make your stay here worth it. Otherwise he'll gesture that she should follow him. The petting zoo shouldn't be too far--

And after fast-forwarding their journey, HERE IT IS. Petting zoo animals galore grazing and generally kind of playing with each other... If possible. ]

Looks like we're here.

[Which nets him a smile. She's of a similar mind, when she chooses to think of it; truth is, it doesn't take any real effort for her to be happy here, personally. At his gesture, she walks along with him.]

[It was a nice journey, fast-forwarded or not. She remembers the petting zoo from fairly early on in her time here, so it's with a fond smile that she regards it.]

Looks like it. [Brb, glancing back at Bo Peep. Said sheep looks quite interested in the other animals and will be wandering over toward the fence. Bo Peep you're on the wrong side--]

Bo Peep, the door isn't that way. [ Oh my God, he's going to follow after her now to see where he's going. Pikachu will leap onto the fence from Namine's shoulder and sit there, hovering over all the little herd animals kept in the kind of large yet cozy area like he is king.

Yes, Pikachu. Smile to yourself as Red tries to wrangle over a sheep for Namine. That's totally helpful. ]

[Naminé is just about to go and deal with it herself when he takes the initiative, so instead she ends up trailing after him, smile bright and amused. Silly kids, being helpful is for people who aren't Pikachu.]

[She'll just. Head over there and help him out with Bo Peep after Pikachu hops down. It's kind of a two person job, since the lamb is kind of distracted with 'baa'ing at the other animals. Don't mind Naminé giggling to herself over here.]

[ THANK YOU NAMINE. With her help, they were able to round the sheep around to the entrance... Red's going to unlock it now and leave it open for a bit to see if she wants to go in or not. ]

At least she looks interested.

[HEY HE'S HELPING HER the least she can do is help him with said task.]

Mm. She's usually pretty friendly, so--

[Oh. Bo Peep is. Inspecting this situation. It doesn't take her long to start to wander into the pen.]

That was quick... [ He blinks a couple of times since the sheep looks eager to check everything out. ]

Hopefully she'll make a lot of friends. [ Since that's the most important thing. ]

Yes.... She's very-- inquisitive.

[She moves to stand next to him properly, looking on as Bo Peep inspects the area and the other animals, 'baa'ing occasionally.]

I hope so, too. I can always take her to visit them again.

[Naminé's still getting her quiet fussing on, though, if the way her hands are clasped together is any indication.]
