After giving some consideration to the nature of their bonds with their patron deities, Sam Winchester posts to the network supposing a theory: if the gods can feed magic into the Travellers to give them their House Powers, perhaps, then, the Travellers can feed magic back into the gods. They have been under great duress both with Odin's collapse and the most recent disasters in the kingdom, even the smallest bit of a boost may make a difference.

Using the same runes from Draco's magic expansion plot, Travellers will be advised to draw the personalised god runes for their patron deity somewhere on their bodies in runic ink, anywhere it might not be disrupted or broken. For the duration of this day, every time the Travellers use any form of magic - be it House Powers or other runic magic - the god rune will glow faintly in the colour of their patron. The energy they pour into their magic will travel along the bond to their god and give them something of an energy shot, just the slightest lift in their strength and energy.

However, performing this transfer comes at a cost. The more magic performed, the more the Travellers will be drained of their own energy in a nearly euphoric way. The exhaustion will come in a vague sense of warmth and affection ( as it is, after all, the spirit of the Mother that gives the gods their magic ), as the need for a nice cup of their favourite cocoa, or perhaps a comfortable nap in the sunlight, or maybe even a profession of love.

Yes, we're giving you an aphrodesiac curse. As the Travellers grow more and more tired, they will grow more and more inclined to cuddle up with someone or something they care about and sleep off the exhaustion. This is generally harmless and will not be an extreme; it will not create feelings of love where there are none and it will not encourage them to do the nasty or anything like that. It's more simplistic than that, a base sort of love that comes in simple touches or a spoken word of love.

Anyone participating in this event is more than welcome to vary up the way this manifests in their characters, but by the end of the day, all Travellers using the transfer will be taking a collective nap for a few hours. When they wake, the euphoric effects will be gone and the god runes will no longer be active. Fingers crossed no one came across them cuddling with their best friend!

Yes, that's right! It's runic magic!

[It doesn't taste quite as good as the stuff fresh from the bakery, but it's still pretty tasty!]

[Hamel isn’t a picky eater, and besides, it’s magic food popping out of thin air. The novelty alone adds to the taste.]

It’s pretty cool. Teach me how to do that.

[He wants to magic stuff into existence, too!]

It's not that hard! As long as you can memorize the pattern, you can draw it anywhere and make melon bread!

[She'll even tip the plate a little so he can see. It seems to be a circle array...]

[Hamel takes the plate, a paint container and a brush, and sits down on the sidewalk near the stand. He tries to copy the array to the ground in front of him. When he's done, he taps it like Hibiki did with the plate.

It's not the exact same pattern and that circle Ian perfect. Would anything happen?]

[Nnnnope! She watches carefully, coming out from behind the table to see better.]

Ah... You did the lines wrong here and here. [She points at each of them in turn.] They're a little different...

Want me to show you how to write it first? It might be easier with an example.

Well it was my first attempt! I'm sure I'll nail it the second time.

It's normal to mess up the first time, so don't worry about it!

[She'll go ahead and sit down next to him, taking up the paintbrush and painting the circle slowly and carefully so that he can easily see what she's doing.

First is the outer circle-- how does she get it so round? But after that is the lettering, which she takes special care in painting.]

Each of these are letters, so you have to make sure you paint them right or the words won't be right. This one needs to hook like this, and the cross needs to be right through the middle; see?

[Since those were the big problems she noticed in his first attempt!]

Gotcha.

[He cheats with the circle - using the plate as a stencil and tracing around it. Then he draws the letters slowly and carefully, paying attention to Hibiki's pointers. He's actually pretty good at that kind of thing if he puts his mind to it, and this array looks pretty good.

A tap, and behold - melon bread! Smaller than Hibiki's, though.]

[And she begins clapping happily!]

You did it! Good job, Hamel-san!

[And without thinking, she excitedly hugs him in congratulations!]

[Hamel tenses, but doesn’t pull away like he usually does. He sits very still and lets her hug him for a moment before putting a hand on her shoulder and pushing her away - gently.]

Yes yes, I know I’m great but don’t get clingy.

[His voice lacks the usual sharpness, though, and he ruffles her hair even as he speaks.]

[Hee hee, hair ruffles-! She does detach herself from his side, however.]

If you keep practicing, I'm sure you'll do great! You already got it on your second try!

Well, there's another spell for cinnamon bread if you want to try it!

Um... Maybe? But I haven't found any other ones yet...

The... options? I guess I didn't think about it so much before. I just wanted to make some nice snacks for everyone to enjoy...

[He thought she was just using a pre-existing one.]

[It is cool, and he's a good enough mood to show her he's impressed. But it also means he can create spells of his own...!]

W-well... I figured out the words, yes!

[Oh goodness, now she looks flustered.]

[He pats her head, half noogie and half affectionate gesture.]

Well... you still have to make a lot, since they're just snacks. And it's not very good to eat too many, either...

Seems to me you just need to tap it to make more. And you can change the words to make real bread.
