Day 461 ( June 9/10 ): When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:
As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.

Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.
A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.

The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition.
Day 462 ( June 11/12 ): The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.

At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

[ Annie watches the girl wander aimlessly for a bit, then decides that she might as well get started if she's going to join the welcoming committee. Why not help a girl out when she looks lost, right? ]

Um, hello. Hi.

[ She waves, a little awkwardly. ]

Are you alright? You look a little lost.

[Yuiko looks around for a moment before realizing that she was being spoken to. Smiling but still looking a bit lost or awkward she waved back and walked over.]

There's so many different ground, and it's really really important to pick the right one, but I don't know which one that is, but I want to be able to help.

[Considering that the hardest thing she had ever had to decide on before was a class duty it was a bit overwhelming choosing how to support a war effort.]

Well...

[ She looks around at all the booths, then realizes she'd be better help if she knew the girl. Still, she'll give it a shot. ]

Oh! I know! What's your god power? Maybe you have one that might be useful for one of the groups.

Ah, it's energy transfer. I've been practicing but I'm still not perfect at it. I know I wouldn't be any good at fighting or investigating stuff, so I shouldn't join the military or patrol groups.

[She had thought about the medical one since someone said there were a lot of people with energy transfer there, but then Yuiko was pretty squeamish about blood and stuff.]

Energy transfer. Hmm...

[ Annie pauses, thinking about what she'd been told about that power. Which wasn't much, mind. ]

Well, the people in the Medics group with Healing can always use someone to provide them with more energy for their healing.

[ She made a face and shook her head. ]

Actually, pretty much any group could use the energy, so that's not a very useful bit of advice. Sorry. I suppose it just depends on who you'd rather help.

Hm, I wonder if there will be a lot of life drawing people in Supply. You could always help give them more energy so they can make more stuff...

[Yuiko nods at the first suggestion it was one of the ones that she had been thinking about.] One of the people that's been helping me practice is part of the medical team, but she said that it's helpful if people know at least a little first aid to help out too.

[In other words, so they didn't make things worse or get in the way.]

Supply, I didn't hear much about that group.

Well, I suppose you could learn first aid if you really wanted to. Maybe contact the clinic or the hospital and have them teach you.

[ Annie shrugs. ]

There isn't much to say about it beyond the obvious. Supply helps out with making sure everyone has their needs taken care of. For example, the road to Utgard has been cut off, and most of the farms have been destroyed, so we're going to have to work on making sure everyone's fed anyway.

You don't have to have the Growth power or Life Drawing, though. You can still help with gathering or distributing the supplies, rather than making them.

That sounds pretty important. I didn't know that there were people that could draw things to eat. I thought it was just animals and things like pets.

I wonder if you can only join one group.
