- Day 461 ( June 9/10 )
- When the Travellers wake up, they will find a message sent to every bracelet in the city:
As per the agreement between the gods and their Travellers, all persons within Asgard are humbly requested at the castle courtyard for enlistment in the Holy City's war efforts. Every individual is invited to find their resolve and seek out their purpose; this is the final stand in Ragnarok, and your help is needed now more than ever.
A friendly if not a touch formal invitation to what will essentially be Asgard's job fair! A mandatory job fair. This is why we can't have nice things.
Enlistment is mandatory! Please see your local officials for more information.
The castle courtyard and the streets leading into it will be crowded with bustling natives and several booths, not uncommon in appearance to the many festivals they've had over the last two years. This time, however, there is no music or celebration to be had. Everyone is hard at work organising their efforts for the war and doing their level best to assist in the transition. - Day 462 ( June 11/12 )
- The fair will continue for two days, to give everyone time to get down there and make their decisions. Anyone that hasn't signed up by the end of this day will be visited at home by a city rep and a few guards that will politely ask them to register for a group and weaponry if they plan to carry it. Refusal will land them in jail for the day, where they will still be politely asked to please, seriously, just pick something. Anything. Uncle Odin wants you.
At the end of the fair, there will be food and drinks to thank the Travellers for their support and cooperation. Throughout the entirety of the event and for the rest of their stay, the natives will be more reverent and grateful than ever than the Travellers have chosen to stay and fight at their side. They will do anything they can to help them win this war; this evening will be one of camaraderie and appreciation for the past, present, and future sacrifices to save the World Tree.

( Although in fairness she'd likely only go by the medic tent if something was serious. Her perception of serious, which could be leaving it later than she should )
We'll probably need more than we've got - of everything. ( Fighters, doctors... these were giants, and if the gods were having trouble it wasn't going to be easy for them either ) How's it set up down there?

It helps, a bit, that Sigyn's fond of the selfless sort. Most of the Healers don't need to be asked twice to lend a hand.
( he's not speaking of himself, though the goddess may very well have selected him for just that reason. )
I'd be more worried about the soldiers, all told.

( Soldiers were soldiers. Herself and Rogers would sign up with no questions needed, as they had done. Maria didn't know many of the others but she wanted that to change - she had her own concerns too. They needed the skills to fight more than just hope, and they had to be able to work together. Be a team, hopefully without some bloody push )
But your worry isn't wrong. Soldiers work well with trust and coordination. We don't have long to get it.
( It was so much more than just being able to fight )

( which sounds like it could get pretty militant, but he doesn't view it that way. at least, he hopes it's not still going in that direction. )
But even then, everyone's on a different level. Even just lookin' at weapons. Someone's gonnna have to start coordinating soon.

( Or time. There was a lot of work done with swords as well as hand-to-hand techniques, and less talk about guns. And more on the powers. It was an adjustment for everyone, to think differently and use other skills - it didn't matter when you were from )
There should be a discussion soon. It would be nice if it could be there. ( And not any number of people getting hot-headed and getting them even more into trouble by thinking they can work it and can't, or it not actually going anywhere )

( She's the leading type. Hasn't yet here but... do attempted inspirational words count? The only thing left to see would be whether experience counted more than time spent in Asgard. She still had a lot of questions and felt like she had to catch up. But no one would know unless they tried )
The next few weeks will be interesting to see - for all groups.
